    I use acrylic paint put it on, let it sink in, then wipe off the excess with a coffee filter, (doesn't leave material behind) , if need be then a baby wipe. you can also get syringes for applying.

      Interesting. Ive never heard of using a coffee filter…🤔 I wonder if they’re cheaper than baby wipes…

    Maybe for the issues with the air bubbles, you can try filling them with uv resin first if there arent too many?

      @@JBKonsCreations Hi. Any paint that I use won't stay on the silicone mold in one uniform layer. It separates as if trying to put oil on top water.

      @carolstewart1704 2 роки тому

      Yes! I found if u dot it on instd of painting it on it doesn't "pool" like water on glass etc, only thing is that u have to sit on fairly thickly and allow to dry well before pouring etc (acrylic dries pretty quickly luckily tho!) And like she said just be careful not to crack the paint once dried!! Ty JB for the great tips! I'm going to be using these for sure!

    Please help! I am doing the same thing with black paint to fill in the details after and it's staining my piece when I wipe it off. It's UV resin mixed with white pigment and white glitter. It's making a mess and I can't get the paint off.

    Is there any way to do this with a 3d piece like a sphere shape with details on it? All the ones I have seen have been flat so far. I dont think with a 3d one you could paint inside the mold first though but maybe after it sets painting it would work?

    • @JBKonsCreations
      @JBKonsCreations  3 роки тому +1

      It actually depends. If you’re using a clearish 2 piece mold with uv resin there could be a way for you to make the walls of the 3D piece and then paint want you want on it and then put it together. But other than that Im sorry I dont have much experience with 3D pieces.

      @@JBKonsCreations I was thinking that however I thought if i was to make a keyring out of a 3d piece done in 2 halves then when I go to attach the keyring in the middle would it not split the model into the 2 halves because of pressure

    • @JBKonsCreations
      @JBKonsCreations  3 роки тому +1

      @@xmissmilkywayx1887 You could always drill in the eyepin before you closed it so there wouldnt be the pressure. I usually stay away from 3D molds because Ive had so much bad luck with them in the past. When ever Sophie and Toffee announces theres a 3D mold in an Elves box I usually skip it haha.
