    Just a tip, spread the clear resin before adding the ink. Then mold won't get stained and the ink has more room to move.

    If I remember correctly you can use alcohol to remove the tattoos even after they are cured. Tattoos require a top coat.

    Sadly, alcohol inks don't stay. They all fade over time. That's why people suggest not selling alcohol ink creations, cause over time they either fade away, or turn a weird color. Whether months or a year, they will not be the same.
    These are so beautiful! I really like the cloud one.

      I have petri dish coasters I bought in 2019 and the color of the ink is the same, only thing that changed is the clear resin yellowed.

      It’s disappointing because alcohol inks can be pretty pricey. The Let’s Resin ones aren’t too bad but I can’t buy them in Canada. I had to go pick them up in the US. But nonetheless this was fun and I’ll enjoy the trinket dishes as long as I can!😊

    Yes it’s because u applied directly to the mold, ur best bed is actually make the entire tray, then apply the tattoo b4 doing a top coat/doming it. U can get a lot of cool 3D fx if u add several layers in between like a sandwich effect too. I love the idea playing around with the tattoos & different results! Nice project, thanks for sharing even tho they weren’t what u were hoping for❤

    Alcohol on a q-tip is the best way to remove tattoos. The background color has to be in a shade that isn’t the same as the tattoo.

    You can see a hint of the tattoo in the flower mold. It wasn’t very vibrant to start with. I haven’t moved on to the reveal of the other two molds, yet. Maybe with more muted pastel colors mixed in the resin, instead of wispy’s, which I really like. I am only considering trying to make my second career in the art world. I am a pharmacist, so I like mixing, and chemical reactions. And, I adore color! Many people I used to work with would agree that I always had new pens in lots of different colors.

    👋 Came across your channel and am enjoying your discoveries! 🇨🇦. Wondering if you have tried using the tattoo with clear - waiting for it to cure - then doing the whiskies with alcohol inks? The technique produced a beautiful effect. Just wished to see the tattoos - they are so beautiful! 🌺

  • @passerineblue
    @passerineblue 4 місяці тому

    This is a better technique for using alcohol inks because more space is involved than the tiny jewelry pieces Daniel Cooper uses. He does use larger molds for blooms, but he doesn't do this.

    You need to put tattoos upside down not like on skin, soak the backing paper and slide the tattoo off it, remember when they go on skin they are reversed, when you put them in a mould they are not because you see them from the back

  • @shariburnett
    @shariburnett 4 місяці тому

    Use a little less tattoo and a little less ink so they all have room to shine. Consider using ink colours that are a little more of a contrast to the tattoos. I love this idea and I think your first round was really pretty … and good learnings. Can’t really ask for more :) I have a coaster mold that I’m itching to try now !

  • @ruthiemiller2168

    The blue one is my favorite and if you put a thin layer of resin over the tattoo and let it cure before doing the alcohol wispies the wispies would have been behind the tattoos then do your final layer then do a thin layer on the front to seal the tattoos i usually put a thin layer of resin first then cure then put the tattoo on then my final layer unless im putting something behind the tattoo then another thin layer and let cure so thats whats behind the tattoo wont blend into the tattoo then final layer or do what another commenter said and do your project first then apply the tattoo then top coat it hope that makes sense but they all turned out beautifully

  • @apriln2108
    @apriln2108 5 місяців тому

    temp tattoos can be tricky with any kind of background. I prefer to add the tattoo to the finished surface (and using a thin clear coat) because it comes out sharper. the cloud is beautiful! love all three molds, and they are perfect with the alcohol ink effect.

  • @rhondabennett3345
    @rhondabennett3345 10 місяців тому

    My favorite is the blue cloud. I am so glad you chose not to add the tattoo to that one. I actually can see a cat's head and face on the left side and a dog's head and face on the right side. My daughter could only see the cat. I'm not sure if anyone else can see this or not. I think the idea of the wispy alcohol ink is a good one and that the tattoos should be added to the surface after it is cured. Then yes, sealed in to protect the tattoo.

    Hey sweetie! Yeah tattoos and resin or ecoresin needs a seal 🦭 I made one thinking I could get away with out doing it and it ended up all dusty and bits stuck to it. My hope was they might de-stickify in the air like they do on your skin. But alas 😞 I was wrong! I love all of them! You could try finding the same tattoo and putting it on top of the green and purple ones maybe it will show more. But I love the cloud and tomorrow I am gonna make some cloud coasters cos they are so cute. Thank you for the idea!😊
