Pacific Coast Highway is one of the most scenic road trips in the US. You can learn about other beautiful drives in the country in my video about the best road trips in the US:

We drove from San Francisco to la and it was literally the most breathtaking scenes I’ve ever seen. So much natural nature that hasn’t been misused. I won’t lie, the drive was a bit scary due to how high up we were and some thin roads but worthit. We’re planning on going again this summer
Same here ;)
I absolutely love it!
Hey how long did that drive take you??
@@joseromero344 for us personally, it took a good 8/9hrs more b/c we stopped too but you don’t even get tired of the drive there’s so much to see and do it’s insane
Truly an experience I won’t forget
I drove down the Pacific Highway as much as I can from Northern Oregon to Los Angeles about a decade ago. It was a beautiful trip and I recommend it for your bucket list. There were so many things and places to see and you won't regret it.
That sounds awesome! What‘s your favorite place on PCH?
@@travelthetop Seeing the elephant seals closeup just by pulling off the road as opposed to having to take a bus miles up to visit the Hearst Castle.
Lovely wow 😊
I‘m glad you liked the video!
Just did this trip a week ago. It was fantastic and beautiful. Although I did miss exploring Monterey and Santa Barbara. San Simeon and The Hearst Castle is a must attraction to visit. But, too much to see and do along the way and not enough time to do it all. This drive is highly recommended at least once in your lifetime.
Thanks for your comment, I agree! :)
Hello from a local! Definitely agree to take your time if you want to do the entire drive from San Francisco to San Diego. I wouldn’t recommend driving Pacific Coast Highway at night, or in some cases in the early morning due to the fog. Also you will want to pull over and take pictures along the coast, but if you do PLEASE stand back from the edge of the cliff. Many places along Pacific Coast Highway don’t have a barrier, and the places that do have them for a reason.
Thanks for the extra tips!
I agree completely :)
One of the best reviews for touring this amazing coastal highway I've ever seen! I'm glad you didn't leave out Hearst Castle - it's an incredible place from a magical time in California history. I would add one thing, though...start the journey a bit farther north in the magnificent redwood forest. There is no place like it in the world, and no trip along the California coast would be complete without it.
Thank you so much, I‘m glad you like the video!
I agree, the only reason I didn‘t add that is that I didn‘t want it to be too long. Maybe I‘ll do another video about the northern part in the future :)
Me and the missus just drove a Dodge Challenger from Los Angeles to San Francisco for my 40th birthday. Many people say to drive from north to south as the views are better as youre closer to the edge, but I would disagree. You can pull over wherever you like, and have the same views from the other side of the road. I would also suggest that you visit Pismo beach, absolutely stunning. And also monterey was great for seeing humpback whales on a whale watching trip and nearby to Laguna Seca if you love motorsport.
Thanks for the comment and the additional suggestions! :)
That was really well done and I'm so glad you really appreciate the coast. at some of your stops, I'm sure you saw some of the social challenges that CA and the US struggles with. Thanks for not ganging up on California like so many productions are doing. Newcomers might be surprised to see some of the personal struggles that exists but the beauty is still here.
Great video, detailed explanation is good, it's a place I want to go & Beautiful Music
Thank you so much for the comment, I‘m glad you enjoyed the video!
Made the trip on PCH from Monterey to San Simeon with some friends about 15 years ago. To this day, it's the coolest thing I've ever done in my life.
I believe it, that sounds awesome! Which part did you enjoy most?
Amazing places! hope 2 go!
actually really good points at the end
I‘m glad they are helpful :)
Beautiful!! Just beautiful ❤️
My favorite coastline 😊
I visited this wonderful coast in 2019 and it was a beautiful dream. Love you San Francisco. Inch'Allah I will come back. I never forget Monterey. Never.
It‘s gorgeous!
This has just popped into my suggestions , now subscribed . Looking forward to watching your back videos .
Thank you so much!
My guy you sound like NoHo Hank, not gonna lie. Makes the video so much more exciting.
I don't know who that is, but if it helps, I'll take it ;)
On my vay! Ja wohl! Wery beautiful. Danke!
This is certainly on my bucket list
I‘m glad you like it! What do you think, which stop do you like most?
90210 brought me here ;)
Absolutely beautiful. I'm passing through the area on my bike tour in a few days. Thanks for heads up. 👍🙂
Thank you, it makes me happy that the video is helpful! Have fun on your tour! :)
Thank you for such an enjoyable video!! GORGEOUS !!! We hope to go someday!
I hope for you too, it‘s gorgeous!
Beautiful coastline. Visited San Francisco and the 17 Mile drive, and Mt Carmel. it was awesome.and unforgettable..
It‘s stunning! ❤️
A beautiful drive we've done a couple of times. Suggestion.
Load the player with the greatest cruisin songs out there and it will be an even better trip. Cheers. Rog. Pacific sunset records.
Perfect.!!
:)
Are there many coastal campsites to stay in or places to park overnight in a van?
I have to do this road trip in 2022 🔥
You won’t regret it!
Hey there, it's 2023, just checking to see if you did do this trip in 2022 and what was your experience?
Hello, did you made the drone shots yourself ? 😊
Thanks for making and posting this wonderful video and helpful advices. A question, what would you advice for a solo travel: rent a car and follow your video, or make use of public transportation in west coast? Thanks.
Definitely rent a car; unfortunately, the public transportation system is not well built.
Nice drive bring lots of money
That’s a good idea ;)
Don't miss Point Lobos south of Carmel
Super excellent !
Thank you! I‘m glad you like it :)
Great Video! What is the best time of the year to drive the Pacific Coast Highway?
Thank you so much!
The weather is best from April to October, but Big Sur is also the most crowded during this time.
I would suggest Spring or Winter: In Spring you‘ll see the blooming wildflowers, and in Winter you might see orcas or gray whales in the ocean.
wonderful and thank you!
You’re welcome, I’m glad you like it! Which is your favorite stop of the PCH?
Super
I like the Way U made the Whole Video with Maps & Locations keeping Information very Short & Precise... Gives the Video awhole lot of Edge... Any Plans of Visiting... Oregon Coast... I've heard it's More Beautiful & Serene than Californian Coastline ☺️
Thank you so much, I’m glad you like the video! I‘m sure Oregon‘s coast is beautiful too, I’d love to visit it in the future :)
Hi how many days would you allow for this trip and what stops would you stay the night? We will be tight on time so wanting to get the most out of our short time. Thanks
How much time do you have?
@@travelthetop we have 2 weeks but absolutely do not want to spend all out time doing that as we are coming from aus. Ideally would like to squeeze it in a day or 2 but unsure if that’s not reasonable
You won’t be able to do the whole trip in one day… Is your flight already booked? Where are you going? LA or SF? My favorite part of the trip is Big Sur, but I think while you can go there, you still can’t drive all the way through (there’s a road closure after some damage…).
So it all depends where you’re going.
é muito diferente não tem nada a ver com as praias brasileiras, nos estados unidos tem mais infraestrutura é muito bonito
You Skipped Ventura and Oxnard. Great Beaches, sunsets, and restaurants. 👍🏻👍🏻🙂
I know, I skipped more than that. But the video would be way too long otherwise…
Saya pernah kesini saat main GTA...😁
❤️😍❤️
Did you get google map via PCH?
Sorry, I don't know if I understand your question... I used Google Earth if that's what you mean :)
Are you german
No. Why?
Hearst castle is a decadent bore
Couldn’t get much of what he said with thick accent.
Thanks for your critique! I’ve never had complaints about my accent, what didn’t you understand?
Maybe the subtitles would help! :)
