Two town not in this list: Placerville and Chico

As a native Californian it’s almost offensive at how little work went into even pronouncing the names of these wonderful towns correctly , and it’s not like they were hard for fucks sake San Juan Bautista 🤷‍♀️she couldn’t even get Carmel correct 🤬 that is pure laziness with the internet at your fingertips !

I have been to every one of these towns except for Nevada City. My favorites are Murphy, Pt Reyes Station and Bodega Bay. But Calistoga, Healdsburg and St. Helena are beautiful.

My husband and I drove up the coast for our honeymoon and one of our stops was point Reyes. I feel like I went through at least 5 different landscapes just from San Francisco alone. I’ll never forget it. I’m from southern California and this makes me want to move further north.

And not one of them are affordable to visit or, God forbid, live there.

For a computer generated voice, I think it's clear, "friendly" and overall sounds quite normal. Seems like there should be a way for the editor to correctly pronounce the city name and have the voice software incorporate it. As a Californian, it's annoying to have common location names mispronounced.

Remarkable first world problems in this comment section. For me, i think the reader's voice is pleasant, and pronunciation doesn't bother me in this free video. If it was a vlog, that would be different. I now have more ideas for day trips from my San Jose.

#8 Dunsmuir was the first TRUE northern California city on this list and I'm surprised they put in Ferndale and didn't bother to mention Eureka, CA. Then I'll give a nod to #2 Mendocino and #4 Ferndale as being in Northern CA. However, the other 17 cities are within a relatively short drive of Sacramento which is in Central California, so this video would have been better titled as "Charming cities in Central California."
