There were Combo VHS tapes somewhere. And books with diagrams. I still have the SF2 expert handbook from 1994 on Champion edition, Hyper and SSF2T. It's worth about £50 now.
Lol true u did needed it because i was probably 1 of tge pros beating you in this Street fighter 2 game all over Usa. Get funky i trashed talk and then i beat you abd your friends. Remember?
Thanks for this advice ! I summed up the move you presented, without the combos and comments : # Key Moves : MP, 🢃 HP, 🢃 MK, 🢃 HK # Jumps : 🢁 MP (combo with Ryu), 🢁 HK, 🢄 MP # Cross up : 🢅 HK (Ryu), 🢅 MK (Ken) # Up Close : 🢃 MK + 🢃🢆🢂 LP # Fireball trap : 🢃🢆🢂 LP + 🢃🢆🢂 HP # Shoryuken (Anti Air, Invincible on startup) : 🢂🢃🢆 LP (HP for Ken sometimes) # Tatsu : 🢃🢇🢀 HK (Ground for Ryu, Air for Ken) # Overheads : 🢂 MP (Ryu), 🢃🢆🢂 K (Ken), 🢀🢇🢃🢆🢂 K (Ken) # Gameplan : keep opponent out, or knockdown + overhead/sweep/throw # Super : 🢃🢆🢂🢃🢆🢂 P
Impressivet, beyond excellent, narrated straight to the point, packed with useful information in a small amount of time. Information that takes a long time to learn by playing yourself or a modest amount of time even by watching others. But with your informative style everyone can learn fast. I see potential for huge growth here, keep going and don't stop, you will certainly succeed. You sir have my respect
Andor! I would like to thank you for your guides and your words of encouragement. I am now able to do all the super combos, and I feel I have you to thank for giving me a basic understanding of the imputs. I just can’t thank you enough.
@@TheGrayton2000 holy crap, congratulations man! I'm trying to get to Akuma with Ryu. He's my main and I'm pretty much doing a Ryu Legacy by pushing every SF game with Ryu.
ive been ignoring that series for a while, and i definitely want to get back to it sometime, theres still many teams to show off, so definitely first i have some different types of videos prepared, plus i gotta finish up my university, but i know a lot of people like the HTPP series, so im definitely gonna return to it
I never could figure out how to do the fireball consistently. I’ve had to watch this in slow motion to finally figure it out. The instructions on the arcade machine are terrible.
try doing a half circle. walk back, then roll the stick forward & press punch when you start moving forwrd you can also hold&release buttons to do special move inputs ( negative edge)
I agree with most what you said. But I think you downplayed Ryu's red fireball (since you mentioned LK hurricane as good knockdown). Ryu has great getoutjail move with the red FB.
@@AndorFGC appreciate the response. I wanted to ask if that was a viable input. Im able to achieve the “Z” motion on player 1 side, but player 2 side is another story in itself.
make sure you do the full motion, then press buttons. Ryu/Ken super (2x quarter circle) is pretty tough in ST try the charge back-fwd supers (Chun Li, Honda, Dee Jay etc). hold back for 2-3s, then forward, back, forward + P/K. make sure you fully press each direction, then button after you begin moving forward
Where was this video in 1994 😂. Needed this so much back then.
😅😅😅😅

Might be the most digestible fighting game intro video ever.

These are great introductions to the game, no doubt super great content.
This is excellent, you telling me the combos while also adding details on text while gameplay showcases your teaching is awesome. Subbed
Your videos are fueling my interest into SF recently and I’m loving all the old arcade games and SFV. Thanks for the vids
Thank you! Been waiting for a guide like this for years 😅
Great content! Please make those for all SSF2T Fighters!
Wow I couldn't of explained it better ,well done bro
Thanks, I learned how to play as Ken using your tutorial
This game is really difficult
Oh yeah, absolutely. SSF2T is the hardest one in the series.
@@BalboaGoku I did a guile video on my channel I defeated everyone and akuma

I feel like SF4 is harder just because you have to do 1 frame links just for a bnb
Lol , kids would find a real game hard
great video with out too much talking, and a lot of useful info
Very helpful, thank you!
The answer lies
In the heart of Battle!
Great vid bro are you ever going to do another how the pros play for mvc2?

This was nicely done. I didn’t know Street Fighter 2 still had a big scene until recently, nice work. Will you do stuff like this for SFV and SF6?
unfortunately probably not for 5, if i could upgrade my hardware then i would gladly make videos for 6, we'll just have to see till then
@@AndorFGC Alright, cool. And what about UMVC3
Do you think you can make a video of Akuma for Street Fighter II, including how to do the Shun Goku Satsu?

short short super for ken is clutch
very useful information
Nice attention to detail. Do you have tips on how to use R & K in SF4 or 5?
Very nice!
Why the cover image remember a Bonda 2 Album cover
Do you use St. LK and St. MK for anything?

Things 15 year old me could've used back in the day.
(I was still the best at fighting games amongst my friends hehe)
3:07 i literally cannot preform this ryu overhead combo, am i dogshit or am i missing something
Could you do the dragon punch input as forward back to neutral then down, and down forward? Apologies in advance for the noob question.
yes, that is the perfect way to input it :)
