    I actually watched the second video first. I have been turning for about 7 years. Every time I watch one of your videos I learn something. Wish we could see Lies sometime, she sounds amazing. By the way I am 78 and I love your videos!

    Thanks for the clear explanation in English which even I understand. Rotating scales is still difficult for me because of the many happers, but with this explanation it should go a lot better.

    Thanks for sharing Ronald, really enjoyed the turning, and your information is great. Like you, I tend to turn in a similar fashion, i.e. my glasses are safety prescription glasses, and I tend to stay out of the line of fire like you did during the turning. However, I tend to turn between centre's, but pretty much everything else is the same for me, apart from the tenon tool, which I hope you don't mind me stealing. I subbed to your channel too, need to check out your other content now, after seeing this.

    I am guessing that is your wife who is doing the camera work. Love how she is laughing.....

    Great video as usual, I'm interested to see how it turns out, not tried using conifer for a bowl myself, (and we cutloads of them down at work!). Cant wait to see the next stage and the finished item and how you seal it for final use.

    Great and very informative video! Which chucks are you using? Talon or Stronghold and what is no 3 and 4?

      Hi Nicolas, yes it is the stronghold number 3 and 4 dovetail jaws...

    The thin stringy appearance of the remaining bark, the wood grain, color and knots all look like Juniper. (Thuja) if it smells like cedar that’s one more confirmation.

    Great video again! Shavings and the box closed and even open give me mold in all varieties! What are the best alternatives in your opinion Ronald?

    • @ronaldkanne
      @ronaldkanne  3 роки тому

      let it get moldy. When the wood is dry, the mold will also die ... If you don't want it to mold, it needs more air. But usually the wood becomes more beautiful because of the fungi ...

    Hvad temp og fugtighed har du i boksen du tørre skålen i. Mvh Poul

      Hi Poul, i don't control the temperature the days. Most of the time a load of bowls go in a guitar box on a pallet. I close it more or less with carton. Than the pallet goes for a few months in the barn for drying... thats all..
