I really enjoy your videos! I discovered you on youtube not so long ago and I have already watched all your videos. I hope you release new ones often. I pick up many valuable tips from you, those that I don’t see in other celebrated woodturners. And last, but not least, I enjoy your good vibrations as those of Lies.
Taking the corner off so it isn't square is adding a chamfer (I think) 😁. Another lovely project that I'll try one day. Maybe I'll make it a bar stool ...
Thank you Ronald and Lies for another enjoyable and informative video, It always put me off making a stool with splayed legs such a simple idea to angle the edge to suit the angle of the leg.
Hello Ronald, that was a most informative video. That test block you used to check the leg dowel is called a ' Go no go guage' where I come from ( Scotland ) Maybe Mrs Santa could buy you a fan and a longer tool rest? Best regards. 🌞
Hi Ronald, great video as usual. What a lovely simple stool, would look great anywhere. I think I might need to get the drilling jig, I can think of so many other projects it would make easier. Thanks again and I look forward to the next video.
Nice job, I like the simple style. Last time I made a tall bar style stool with four legs, but I drilled the holes using my drill press with the table angled to 30 degrees, then used wedges to hold the legs in without glue. I still use the stool when carving at the Lathe. I like how you drilled the holes, I should invest in one of those tools.
Hi Lies, Ronald. As usual, a pleasure to watch! It is a multi-layered joy. The ease of handling the wood and lathe are revealing the real master, the video coverage is a pleasure to watch and then, of course, the humor and lightness in the coverage. Great stuff! Yet, I'm wondering wether it was Gouda kaas or Edammer that made your stomach go silent. :-)
Hi Frank, As usual, a pleasure to read your comment. Thank you very much. The Stomach whisperer was 2 slices of bread from Bakker Paul Berntsen from Didam, each finished with a thin layer of Stolwijker Boeren Kaas, carefully planed with a Dutch cheese knife with a cherry handmade handle... :-)
Hi Ronald ... another very entertaining and useful video! I have never seen an RPM readout on a Robust AB ... is that a 3rd party add-on? BTW, you have inspired me ... I'm off to the workshop to turn a 3-legged stool!
And is it finished now? :-) The RPM readout i made myself. On film it looks a bit strange maybe but in real the digits do not blink, they are on the whole time...
Where can I find/buy the rigid articulated dust collection hose that we see on your videos from time to time? I've looked and looked for one like that.
Hi Monty, it is a product of Loc-line. Here it is on my website, in Dutch (dehoutdraaierij.nl/shop/zoeken-op-merk/loc-line/loc-line-afzuigslang-set/), but I'm sure if you google Loc-Line you'll also find it.
Working at the lathe in a hot workshop…….you are officially my hero for the day😅. Great video, by the way👍.
I have reached the higest goal! being Eds hero of the day! :-)
Another Great Video! I also enjoy your humor. Hope all is well in your life.

@@ronaldkanne Heb je dat boor hulpstuk zelf gemaakt ? Zo ja, heb je daar dan een video over ? Zo nee, waar kan ik zoiets kopen?

@@ronaldkanne Yes! And as soon as the Danish oil dries, I'll have a place to sit!
Great little project Ron, nicely turned, nicely video’d. 👍👍 Do the stool legs sit flat, or on a bit of angle/edge? Thanks again.
Love your videos! Where do you get the dust collection tube? Thanks
Hi Donna, i sell these hoses, but if you are not in the EU you'd probably better google for Loc-line. I bet you'll find something... good luck!

hahahah it was a fun video Ronald! Al vind ik dat je Lies misschien toch ook zo een stoeltje moet maken hahaha :)
Lies heeft al een vensterbank vol met dingen van mij... deze kan ze wel missen denk ik.... 🙂
Jaaaa! Jolien mijn idee-)))

86° in your workshop?
Is that the reason they call it Dutch oven?🤣
😂 most of the time when "Dutch" is combined with another word it doesn't mean much good...
@@ronaldkanne a Dutch turner or a Dutch oven are both great!
I think the Dutch oven thing comes from Deutsch rather than Dutch.
Nice Vid, thanks. BUT THE NEXT WORKPIECE MUST BE FOR LISZ !!!!! Otherwise you are no longer a man of honor :-)
Promised! :-)
