I really want to make more ricefish videos and underwater shots! I’m really enjoying it. As with the lily pipes, I could probably use a connecting adapter and connect my current hose to a larger hose so that it would fit the lily pipes but I’m not too sure. It will make everything look more messy and it’ll be harder to do maintenance when cleaning the hoses.
loving your vids man all the way from Australia just managed to track down some rice fish at my lfs getting them shipped in within the next few weeks if covid doesn't make it take longer! looking forward to some more vids of them etc keep it up also loving your knowledge of plants would love to see your uncles Bonsai's collection
Why not add some shrimp in the grass tank then it will be more interesting 😊 Love your honey gourami and ember tetra! With that density of plants I’m sure you will see ember tetra fry soon!
Dear Ryo, just use a piece of bigger plastic hose to fit the smaller hose to one end and fit the lilly pipe to the other end. Like an extension of some kind. 😉
also the smaller hose might be able to fit inside the glass pipes, put the hose in some hot water first and they try and put the hose inside the lily pipes.
Hey, just get a joiner & attach the correct size tubing for the pipes to your existing tubing (half way down or in an out of sight spot) & then you can use the lily pipes. Only a couple of dollars at a hardware. :) Nice video, even though it bugged me that you didn't add the glass!!!
@ryo to dip the ends of the plastic tubing into boiling water for a minute or 2 and then quickly and carefully stretch them over the glass lily pipe, they will retain the shape and fit perfectly
I think you can get a joinger or attachment or you can also try to soften the tube in hot water. This way you can either try to put it inside or even strech it enough to fit over the otehr piece.
You can still use the same canister with your new lily pipes. Just cut the hoses from near the filter and join bigger hoses to them. Seal them well and connect them with the lily pipe
Hey Ryo. Awesome vid, your fish and tanks look amazing, especially those honey gouramis. Their colour is exceptional. Hope you are well with all the flooding in southern Japan. I hope you are not affected. Take care brother.
Heat the hose a little and use any long sturdy material, maybe a piece of wood, to force the hose to oprn a little. Do it repeatedly until it fits the lily pipe
about the "boring tank" on your desk, like what mr. amano said, the soul of a fishtank are the fish inside. so probably the animal life is missing which always make a tank more interesting. your tank is a little too small for fish and shrimps but maybe an idea would be to put some artemia nauplia inside some saltwater and whatch them grow 😁
If you do not clean the hoses, the water flow will be very small, so you need to clean the hoses from time to time. You have very nice aquariums and many possibilities, that's why I leave my paw. Greetings from Poland.
Hi Ryo, thanks for sharing your passion. I have a question- do medakas have to be in school and how big should the tank be (tank size and water capacity) for 5-7 medaka fish?
The ember tetras have colored up nicely. I'm thinking of a tank with the ember tetras and some green neon tetras. The color contrast would be cool and both are schooling fish. Could be interesting. What do you think?
Muito legal sua casa..... Essa sala que você está fazendo o Studio é muito legal e bem no estilo japonês, parabéns pelos resultados, abraço do outro lado do planeta.
I just got my first two groups of ricefish earlier this week. I now have youkihi medakas and some Daisy's blue ricefish. Both groups will be outside for the summer. Unfortunately, our local winters are too cold to leave the fish outside. The small ponds will freeze solid. Most winters we have lows of at least -25 - 30°C. I hope that some of the ricefish varieties available in Japan will also be available in the U.S.
Nice video... Always looking forward on your next video... Other then your canister filter, what other filter do you recommend using? I'm currently using Box Filter... An old school method... 🐠🐟🐡🦐
I just wanted to point out, for North American viewers, who might want to over-winter Medaka Rice Fish outside in winter: the average January temperature for Tokyo, Japan is 44'F (6.6'C), which is about the same as for Atlanta, Georgia. So, for those of us who live further north, with colder winters, we might have to bring our Medakas inside in winter.
🤣🤣I’m not purposely doing it haha. I just find other things to do that are higher up on my priority list. Glass lily pipes will come very soon I promise
I have an idea for how you can change out your water when using your bucket without getting any fish inside. You could use mesh and soen tiptoes and make some holes and attach the mesh on top of the bucket
My suggestion is put one betta fish (a fancy one like a halfmoon betta) on the small square tank. One betta would thrive on a small space such as that small square tank.
You could heat the tubing up and stretch it around the lily pipe? Great video Ryo! I'm sorry if it's too personal and feel free to ignore me lol, but I wonder why you live with your aunt and uncle in Japan yet you have a good American accent...please just post a link if you have already explained in a previous video 👍🏻
I used to live in Singapore and I studied at an american school. My parents still live there as their jobs are in singapore. I can’t live in Singapore unless I choose to work their or go to college there which I don’t plan on doing. So I came back to our home in Japan first.
are they all Japanese ricefish in your outdoor ponds? I am in california and wanted to create some small ponds like your uncle and aunt. what fishes would you recommend me to keep there?

Amigo calienta con lumbre la manguera del filtro para que puedas ponerla en la lilipipe
underwater video! cool! keep up the great work, Ryo!
In Japan do the Anubias Pangolino and Anubias chilli variety is available???
I can't seem to find rice fish in the UK, any ideas?

I second this alternative.
Vote number 3 for the shrimp!
Shrimp squad!
I think he had shrimp in for a little while but then took them out as he felt it was too small.
Dear Ryo, just use a piece of bigger plastic hose to fit the smaller hose to one end and fit the lilly pipe to the other end. Like an extension of some kind. 😉
Yes add hose which fits with an reducer to connect to filter hose
also the smaller hose might be able to fit inside the glass pipes, put the hose in some hot water first and they try and put the hose inside the lily pipes.
You can see how fast tank grows by seeing Ryo’s video. I remember him having few aquarium back few months ago 😂
0:32 maybe get some shrimp for that tank or some type of nano creature???
Love Your little cube on your desk! Not boring to me.

Great vid! I would love to see some more rice fish patio bowls ect. I'm wanting to try and do some myself because of you
Hi” about the lily pipe, you can look for a 22-16 reducer to fit the tubings...
I love your videos! !!! Keep up the great work. Love your fish store and room tours. I love the rice fish! I love it all!
Hey Ryo, It is possible to heat the clear tube with a lighter so that its flexible and force it over the lilly pipe. It worked for me.
Please add more video about pond ricefish.and your uncle.i really like it

Thank you for your concern, we are safe as we’re not in the southern area. You take care too
awesome video once again and your main tank has grown out very nice since you did it and the ember tetra look awesome :)
Yes! Always good to see some Medakas, luv em! Thank you for this
Hello Ryo, beautyfoul video and beautyfoul fish, tank, shrimp, plants and mini pond.
Heat the hose a little and use any long sturdy material, maybe a piece of wood, to force the hose to oprn a little. Do it repeatedly until it fits the lily pipe
Very cool! One of these days I want to make a mini pond with fish, but I need to work on improving and upgrading my turtles ponds first.
60k+ subscribers and 49! likes so far . Shame in this community, really. This guy needs much more attention. 👍🏼
Agree
5:36 😍
Ryo could you use an adapter for the lily pipes to make them fit?
Inspiring!!!!
Yay!!! The glass pipes look amazing.
Like it Ryo!!!
Enjoy the beautiful day!
I thumbed up for the underwater shots.
Thanks 😊
I bet you could put a couple of micro shrimps in the tank you called boring:) I think it’s cute. I wish I had one like it;)
Awesome as usual!

Love the Kamp Kane shirt! Also love the ponds!
Innovation & creativity when on a budget is a pretty cool life skill. Milk crates have a thousand uses as does vinegar.
Cheers for the efforts.

Looking Good KEEP Tanking
Hi little fella, congratulations from México City!
Classic GoPro shoots😍

YESSSSS I just waited for that video🥳🥳😌
I was just chilling outside with my boys then I decided to watch your video....
Seems like you've earned some subs XD
Awesome videos keep it up! 🔥

Dude, you're so likeable.
These vids are fire keep it up
Hi Ryo,
Do the ricefish ponds have some snails in them? If yes, do snails eat ricefish eggs? thank you!

Almost turned those ricefish to icefish
I'll see myself out
great video! awesome KAmp Kenan shirt!
Hey Ryo! Great vids. Just wanna ask a question at 14:03 of your video for the Aquarium hook what size of the hose tail are you using to cover it?
Keep it up Watanabesan! Ryo’s Ember-scape is one of the all-time-greats 🖖🏼
0:18 a perfect mini salamander tank - or tropical coloured newt
I would heat up the rubber hose and fit it around the glass pipe then pour cold water on it for a secure tight fit
Nice underwater shots there cheers and super nice rice fishes there how much does it costs and how many breeds arethere cheers
There’s so many different varieties that I can’t count them all. Ours is just the cheap mixed variety. Got 10 for $4
@@RyoWatanabee coolest thats great cheers thanks

It's quite a small iwagumi, it's a good practice model...
You can connect them with a larger tube which fits the tube and the lily pipe.

What size aquarium is that one with the ember tetras? It looks so good and the perfect size.
It’s 60 litres. Around 15 gallons. 60cm by 30cm by 36cm. We call it the standard size aquarium here in japan
Great b roll
Kamp Kenan shirt. Nice
i think you should make the glass filter pipe a meme where you never get them fitted :P amazing videos
🤣🤣I’m not purposely doing it haha. I just find other things to do that are higher up on my priority list. Glass lily pipes will come very soon I promise
@@RyoWatanabee would be funny if you just troll us next time. 👍👍
You can heat the tube so it can fit nicely
what happens to the mini ponds during rain? do you cover them up?
Thats what i been wondering
Heat up the tube and stretch it open. Should work.
I have an idea for how you can change out your water when using your bucket without getting any fish inside. You could use mesh and soen tiptoes and make some holes and attach the mesh on top of the bucket
I’m low tech. I’ll just do it this way since it’s simple and it works fine 👍👌
My suggestion is put one betta fish (a fancy one like a halfmoon betta) on the small square tank. One betta would thrive on a small space such as that small square tank.
That honestly looks too small for a betta imo. Shrimp or snails would be good.
Cool vid, I like your Kamp Kenan T-shirt!
You can heat the plastic pipe to make it smaller
Hey Ryo! Could you do a video on like how to set up your mini anubias farm? It's quite interesting to learn!! Nice video though! Stay safe!
Thanks for the video, what is the filter media you are using please?
Eheim Substrat pro
You make us dizzzzy with such a camera movements.
Doesn’t file me, but am a salt water fisherman. Sorry for you.
You could heat the tubing up and stretch it around the lily pipe?

Omg,you just like a tiny fish, may i put you in the pod?it will have much fun
You could add a few shrimp or fish fries in that small cube tank.
Can you make a tank set up for fire belly newts?
Those media balls looking like boba :0
I want one of your terrariums 👋 new subscriber here love your videos
Beautiful fish. How hot does it get there? I haven’t put rice fish outside because it gets really hot here.
It gets close to 40 degrees celcius in the summer. Put floating plants so there’s shade for the fish
Maybe add shrimp to your little desk tank.. They could do well n something to look at..
Pretty sure with some ingenuity you can use those glass pipes with the current tubing
You just get a short piece of tubing that is the next size up and join the smaller glass and plastic tubes inside the larger diameter short piece
Hay want are you going to put in the new big tank. Sting rays and arrows?
Hey Ryo! I was wondering where did you get the hose to fill your tank back up?
The green hose? I got it at my local home center. The blue hang on with the ball valve, I got at a fish store in Singapore
Hi from Greece 😺
Maybe you can put some shrimp to make it interesting... They are very sympathic!
Please excuse my English...
Bro..I bought new plants to my tank and they are melting. Will they regrow again or they will die??
Hola, amigo. Saludos desde México.
Hello from Myanmar 😍
Hie if we have plants in our pond then do we need pump for fish for oxygen.? Plz reply.. waiting from India
what are the longer leaf plants you have growing on your driftwood
Hygrophila Pinnatifida. Is that the one?
@@RyoWatanabee thats it! did u tie it to the wood or glue it? also how do you keep your tank so clear and algae free?
You can heat the hose with fire to fit the tube..
You can add shrimps into the small aquarium
I legit tried to tap the screen, when his name popped up on that button in the beginning. Lol
Do you ever need to siphon the bottom of those rice fish pots to remove the stuff that settles?
You don’t understand if you ask that question. No
凄い…!!
Keep cherry shrimps in that cube....and 4-6 ember tetras as well....why would you discard it ?
Get a joiner/adapter?
you mentioned that those fishes at ponds can survive through winter? what fishes are those?
Rice fish 🤷🏽♂️
@@yanishpuholoo8014 haha 😆
Admin. please make video how to breed neon tetra fish 🙏.
Suggestion: livestream the aquariums 24/7
"I'm just not having a fun time with that." *Me struggling to get one plant to grow as ground cover inside. 😭😭😭
