- If you are ever in Tokyo's Azabujuban district, then this fish store is one to visit. This is Aquarium Shop Ginsui and I call it Tokyo's Underground Fish Store. This aquarium store has a wide variety of freshwater fish and aquatic plants. I saw some saltwater fish too but I'm not sure if they will always have them as this shop focuses more on freshwater. Other cool things I saw at this fish store were axolotls, leopard geckos, newts, chameleons, pacman frogs, and staghorn beetles.

Those emperor blue tetras are gorgeous
When I was just a young boy in 1968? My cousin had a five gallon Metaframe with Kuhli Loaches in it and when I saw them come out to eat? That was it. After that I wanted to keep a fish tank...still going...But no Kuhli loaches in the 240 gallon. Worried they would not get enough to eat. Still like them!

As someone who lives where there is no ‘underground’. What happens when it rains? Does the store get flooded? I’m thinking there is a drain before the opening to the store, at the base of the stairs? Someone pls explain the logistics of an ‘underground’ store. Also, thank you for your very calming, entertaining videos, Ryo.
Presumably it is surrounded by drainage.

You should get a axolotl! They are cute and easy to take care of I have one and live in a city where it gets to 100+ °F in the summer would be a great addition to the fish studio

This is an interesting and kind of cozy store! I am curious about the one "mystery" fish you pointed out, but could not name. At first I thought it might be a Hillstream Loach, but in a a book from the 1950's I once saw about tropical fish, I remember seeing an illustration of a freshwater Sole. I have never seen once since in any store, but perhaps this is a fish that eventually grows too big for an average size tank, and so may be out of fashion now. Perhaps this is what it was? Curious. Hey Ryo, I'm a guy into reptiles first and tropical fish as a side hobby. I love watching your videos. Do you have reptile specialist shops in Japan/Singapore? Would you think about doing a video about one, i'd be really interested in what reptiles are available and popular there.

pixazelz I’ve never tried buying fish online. Kinda sketchy imo. My good friend owns my LFS. So I try to only do business through him. Dang COVID has made it extremely difficult to get certain fish.

I’m curious about production time for your videos. I’ve been viewing UA-cam videos for a few years now and over that time, it seems better quality videographers are taking over. It seems you have a talent for timing and cutting to interesting scenes through the production. When I see one of your new videos pop up, I always go to it first. I hope you continue on into media production. (But keep producing aquarium and Medaka content with your uncle)!
Thank you. It does take many hours both to film and edit. I really try my best to make quality videos because as you said, quality is kind of taking over. Yes, so I spent a few hours filming at this store as it was pretty busy and maybe 2-3 hours editing
