BEST car reviewer out here! Professional, funny, knowledgeable, and skilled Joe has got them all! Love what you did with the road tests, being both engaged and letting us hear the sounds! Great work my friend!
I just got a red Veloster Turbo Ultimate last week! It was hard to get it, Hyundai isn't making a ton of them. Really fun drive, I'm loving everything about it.
@@RaitisRides Racing Red! It was a struggle to find though, last Tuesday when I purchased there was only the red color available and two grays in the 50 states. It's almost as if Hyundai wants to make this trim to order.
It looks rather fat-chunky but you can make it look "leaner" by adding gloss black laces that act like separators separating the top half of the Velostor from the bottom half of the Veloster or gloss chrome laces if possible. Those laces are like protuding fenders that help with down force anyway.
Nice my Ultimate is in Racing Red as well and the dealer said that it was the only Ultimate that they have sold. It kind of makes the car special since you don’t see Ultimate trims that much.
I own a ‘19 Veloster Turbo Ultimate and after six to seven months of ownership this car is a blast to drive and very practical to use as my first car. If your looking for a fist car under 30k this is an excellent choice in my opinion. 😁👍
I have been a Honda guy since 17 years old. But I scored a brand new red turbo without the ultimate trim for $21,750 and have been happy ever since. I look at the civic hatchback and only like the style half the days I see one. But in all honesty the back is so small for even 6 foot passengers. But for my daily driver I LOVE THIS CAR
I feel like you have more Veloster videos than anyone other auto blogger. I love it, I used own an R-Spec. The one thing this has the Civic SI doesn't is a sporty exhaust sound.
Great review! I used to own a 2013 Veloster Turbo. As far as rear visibility, I removed the backseat headrests. I never had any passengers in the rear seat. That helped visibility out the rear window. I sold it because of a fuel cut problem that drove me crazy.
Great review. Very thorough and informative. This car is fantastic. Hyundai really nailed this new generation for the Veloster. The appearance is gorgeous, and the amount of technology jammed into the car makes it a great value. You earned a sub...
I unsuscribed last year for some reason (don't remember why), but recently went back to watch your newer videos. Not sure what changed (maybe me?), but I enjoy your content and subscribed again!
I ended up purchasing this exact same year, model, and color, a year ago. It was purely a coincidence being the same color, but I love it and this video was way more informing than my car salesman at the Hyundai dealership. I knew more about the car than the salesman lol. Thanks Raiti for helping me make an informed decision.

I got a 19 Veloster 2.0 Premium back when the 2nd gen Veloster was still new. Same color as this one here, and man it really pops! I have gotten so many compliments on the color and the car itself, especially back when I first got it. In retrospect, I maybe should have waited several months to get a used Turbo Ultimate model for the same price as my 2.0 Premium brand new. Ah well, I still love my car. In a couple years after my salary triples after finishing nursing school, I'll look into getting a Genesis. Hopefully they'll have the new Genesis coupe out by then! :)
I'm thinking about getting a Veloster 2.0 premium or the Turbo. I really like the 2.0 premium however it doesn't have lots of power other than that i love the car. So would you recommend the 2.0 premium or I save up more to get the Turbo for that extra power?
Felix Robles I think it depends on your priorities. I've not hit any vehicles since having it, only 'till last month and this month. I hit each vehicle while backing up. No dàmage though. I don't think I'm gonna uprade to a turbo or an N because of this constant blindspots fear. I think the 1988-91 Civic hatchbacks were the best in regards to bilndspot-free vehicle.
Love the videos you’re doing great work in the car review world. Question for you, what is your personal daily driver and would you review it if you haven’t already ?
Note to Honda - This is how you do fake sound. It sounds deep and natural and can be turned off if wanted, unlike that buzzy sound in the new Si. Hope Hyundai adds the "enhanced sound" to the GT Nline.
A new contender is coming, the Veloster N dct 8 speed in korea in may then the USA but no clue when. Would really appreciate if you could review it if you get the chance.
What trim Mustang EB? It really runs the full gamut, from pretty much a very standard car through one that is going to be faster than the venerable Veloster N (i.e., the EB with the HPP and HP).
Out of curiosity how did this stack up against the Forte GT with the DCT ? My guess is they are very similar since they share the same engine and are roughly the same weight.
Looks nice and the suspension is much needed. However $29k for this is a very tough sell - for that kind of money I would probably throw it at the N instead of this. The Forte GT existing as a significantly cheaper alternative to this with a similar powertrain makes this car pretty irrelevant, sadly.
haha Nice roads! How did you find the engine and or wind noise? I almost purchased a Santa Fe last year but for some weird reason, the Engine note bothered me.
Surprised you could drive without shading your eyes from the Sun. That undisclosed location showed up on the navigation. I haven't the time to figure it out.
Love watching your videos! I always get a kick out of knowing how many twinkies I can fit in the center console 🤣. Quick question though, I noticed when you closed the sunroof that the shade closed with it, can the shade operate separately from the glass?
Raiti, do you think turbo was almost as fun as Veloster N? Or is N way more fun to drive than turbo? I want to buy N once I graduate but I just don't know how to drive manual so I was wondering if turbo will give just as much fun to normal ppl like me. ( I currently drive 2012 Veloster nonturbo and I still have fun in corners lol. Just hate the lack of power)
To me, the N is an entirely different animal (for example, the N's entire steering system is completely different from any other Veloster trim). There is a DCT coming to the N, although the car is just amazing in stick. If it is a possibility, learning stick might be worthwhile. My father has a Turbo Ultimate and I have a N. The Turbo is not a bad car at all...but driving the N is simply exhilarating and an experience in its own right.

Nice review as always brother but don't leave out putting moon pies in the glove box lol. Thx again Joe and big guns McGee
I will get you next time.
Would you recommend a Subaru BRZ or a 2016 mustang eco boost when it comes to everyday driving and reliability?
What trim Mustang EB? It really runs the full gamut, from pretty much a very standard car through one that is going to be faster than the venerable Veloster N (i.e., the EB with the HPP and HP).
Out of curiosity how did this stack up against the Forte GT with the DCT ? My guess is they are very similar since they share the same engine and are roughly the same weight.
Nice car turbo for Boston... Veloster go... cool video.
Looks nice and the suspension is much needed. However $29k for this is a very tough sell - for that kind of money I would probably throw it at the N instead of this. The Forte GT existing as a significantly cheaper alternative to this with a similar powertrain makes this car pretty irrelevant, sadly.
Thanks. Where are these backroads in Fla., looks great.
I really like that car. Nice review!
I am so glad that you like this one Raymond!
haha Nice roads! How did you find the engine and or wind noise? I almost purchased a Santa Fe last year
but for some weird reason, the Engine note bothered me.
I think they both were great!
Surprised you could drive without shading your eyes from the Sun.
That undisclosed location showed up on the navigation. I haven't the time to figure it out.
Just purchased one in this colorway yesterday
Hey joe you sure on the msrp 29k?? The full out n model is 29.999 up here in nys! Just checking bud hope all is well
Hey what's happening my friend has that Hyundai veloster turbo ultimate he trade it in for a Hyundai veloster N 👋👍🙂🤔🚘
actually to hug a tree u should be in sport mode lol
So dark 😂😂
Love watching your videos! I always get a kick out of knowing how many twinkies I can fit in the center console 🤣. Quick question though, I noticed when you closed the sunroof that the shade closed with it, can the shade operate separately from the glass?
Nice car... But does it come with a Hand Sanitizer holder?
Yes it does actually!
Great review!
What is the 0-60 time ?
6.8 secs
Nice review these are cute little cars . I might buy one for my 16 year old daughter who just got her license.
I have a 2012 I'm trying to get a 2019 or 2020 any advice ? I wanna either trade or sell it
