Excellent review, as always, Nolan! The Veloster's exterior styling is very attractive looking and the interior seems to follow suit. It's a shame that Hyundai is still using sooo many hardtouch plastics in the cabin. Especially in the back seat; in which the passenger on the left side gets a hard arm rest... But the passenger on the right side gets a more padded armrest. All in all though, the performance seems to be incredible for the price. I can't wait for the 2019 Veloster N!!! From one car reviewer to another, keep up the great work!

Nolan! What’s up? Overall, I like the new Veloster. I wish they would just give the thing another rear door though. It’s a real shame Hyundai is building the interiors with such cheap, hard plastics. I think it’s missing a few features that I expect for the $ like a power seat. I think this is the one to get in the range. Gotta have the leather and roof, though I’d prefer a real stick shift. Great job on the video!

I really wish they didn’t go with white seats for the ultimate because they would get dirty super easy. Already noticed dirt just in the review. I’ll go with the next trim down. You still get leather bolsters on the cloth seats so it’s the best of both worlds.

Turned in my good old 2013 Silver VT 2 days ago, drove away in this beauty. So far so good, love the aggressive engine sound While missing the 2013 turbo whistling. Interior wise, hate the design of the doors, 2013 had a more handy and unique, better and less plain look and feel + handles doors/center dash. 2013 handling felt softer. Nonetheless, happy with this 2019 little thing, I do wish we had the extra front lower fog lights just for the sporty look of it as the 2013 Turbo.
Hi. I am thinking of purchasing a Veloster Turbo Automatic, are there any rattling noise like what he mentioned? An owner of 2019 turbo said there’s rattling on the dashboard, so I was wondering if you a experience any of that. How is the ride and handling? Is it noisy inside?
For the love of God why do they not bring it back if I should bring it back with a coupe version a convertible soft-top and a hardtop vs. I know I'm asking for a whole lot here but that car would be so amazing if it was a convertible it would totally compete with a bunch of other convertibles out there and plus it's a fantastic sports car we're supposed to get a new version of in 2020 but they said the same thing in 2019 and we never got it so I don't know what's going
i own a 2014 VT, i think this one is beautiful on the outside but i like my interior more, my sunroof looks alot larger, goes over the back seats, i like the spedo. steering wheel, and HUD on the new ones but the radio and the touch screen is all ugly to me, i was loaned a 2019 Tuson and that has 90% of the same stuff, and other than how it drives im not a big fan, hopefully Hyundai re does the interior in the next few years and ill buy one (thats coming from a nissan employee) all in all i want one, but waiting for a new interior

Agreed I would like it better as a 4door. I like that profile better with 2 doors on each side

Justin I got the 2.0 Premium and the interior and wheels look 100% better. That’s if you don’t care about having the turbo, it’s my daily driver.
all these years later, if you look at pictures of high milage used examples, the white is actually aging shockingly well.

@@dopemuffinz1000 just minor stuff like sensors and stuff. He had a 1st gen. So availability probably has gotten better since then.
I really hope they bring the ultimate trim to the Elantra GT Sport Hatch for 2019 including with the manual like they do with this Veloster.

Do you know if a 2016 VT would have a similar turbo whistling to the 13?
@@EmptyHand49 Should be the same, those trims didn’t change much but did improve from the previous models a lot.

Where are the front tweeters at. The old model had them in the front doors. I don't see that here. Are they the upper Dash I can't tell?

I have the 2019 Turbo and I caught them strobing once in a security camera video playback and haven’t got them to strobe since.
As far as I know , it has something to do with the types of cameras and the LeD actually strives really fast and the cameras are able to catch it
