@@io8096 Oh dear... as someone who landed here the non-meme route, I now must know what meme you guys are talking about. lol
The perfect gif doesn’t exist
I began my search with a troop of dancing Goblins, and now I have arrived to glory…!
Same here
Same
Play a real concertina
Every once in a while.....someone comes along to totally 'redefine' an instrument. And Cormac Begley is just that. *BRAVO!*
Nonsense, do you read the Irish times? I can tell you for a fact most Irish musicians don’t think he has redefined anything.
I love it when pepole like you say: *"I can tell you for a fact that most Irish muscians don't think that he has redifined anything."* Right so....back up your 'claim' then. Go on and 'name the names' of all those Irish musicians that *you know for a fact* don't think he has redifined anything. Let's hear back from you.... Who are you kidding? Utter Bulls*it. @@johnmc3862
@@johnmc3862I can tell you for a fact nobody asked
I love how every sound has purpose. The clicking, the "breathing" and the notes all come together
And notes sounds like made by a living creatures!
Phenomenal. The talent displayed here is incredible. Social media has brought me across this man and if he’s ever in my area I’ll be the very first to buy a ticket.
"To arms men! Do not falter, They may outnumber us, but, show no fear and we will prevail!" Type of tune.
I could listen to this on repeat endlessly
This would be class in a movie
Source sounds of Throat singing, whisper singing and chanting, percussion, melody, and basses - all coming from one instrument. Yowza, that was wild!
Honest to God .. I didn't know such a sound existed
Needless to say I've listened to this dam near every day since
I have no idea what genre of music this is, but it's now one of my favorites.
Irish traditional music. Called trad here.
@@bennyhealy3324
Thank you!
@@MajorisMons no worries. Look up the gloaming if you want more.
He is a little bit special!
Irish trad from wesht Kerry lad
I remember Cormac as a teen playing around West Kerry when I lived with Seamus for a few years I will never forget this magical time around the Begley family, hes taken what he's learned from his father Breanndan growing up and developed his own unique and powerful style, I have never heard a concertina sound like this ever. It's wild, powerful and just raw phenomenally good.
This is the stuff of legends , absolutely in love with the feel of this track , it says a million words without saying a thing at all , more of this please ! Literally every time I listen , I get shivers , love it !
Goosebumps
A master with his masterpiece
my brain: so how many times do we listen this ?
me: YES!
Jesus… He’s like Jimi Hendrix of his instrument. That’s unreal
Great comparison
@@Mickmooreable 😁
really? he's playing a simple tune on a concertina tuned in a low register , its all the rage lankum wise . no real magic there, not quite the same as a hendrix solo off the cuff, but i do like it all the same v tasty playing , breath wise
@@surfmacsurfupload a video of you doing better hot shot
@@surfmacsurf lol are you for real? doesnt matter if its simple tune or not, what makes a good player of an instrument is how they play it, you clearly werent listening to this
Thanks, Skuru! ^^
I’m only here because of him
I had to pause his video and go look this up. Glad some furries are eclectic in music taste.
This production is next level from thr pure raw skills of Cormac to the sound engineers capturing evey noise he makes. The clicking of the buttons sounding like someone is doing a jig dance blows my mind.
I can’t stop watching this. I revisit it all the time.
This is phenomenal. I have never heard someone breathe so much life into an instrument before! Maith thú!
You never heard an Irish flute player?
@@Kitiwake I have heard plenty of Irish musicians, I'm saying he's the best I've heard
The air sounds when you aren’t playing any notes reminds me of throat singing . Love this tune
Amazing, I met him a few years ago in france thank to an irish music class, he told us that the most important in a tune was to feel how to place the weight in the sentence. I understand now how right he were.
indeed, it's all about rhythm and groove!
Do you mean "in the phrase"?
The man has SOUL...👏👏👏👏😎✌💚
It's amazing!
I love the air-button solo!!!!
Wow!!!!! Just wow!!!! Fantastic. A master at work.
I remember your granddaddy and the Russell brothers back in the 70s, God bless them all. Loved your music
Super !
Can't stop listening to this! So good man
I cannot get enough of this video, I’m obsessed. Thank you Mr. Begley ❤
Goosebumps! I really like your music its refreshing for my soul. Greetings from Italy!
Türkiyeden selamlar mükemmel bir parça ❤
Mindblowing.
absolutely incredible
The connection between ancient Celt and viking origins. This is the embodiment. Beautiful playing. With so much expression.
I recently heard from a panel of specialists that the Celts did have Hispanic origins (now Spain)
@@gatomerlot5315Thats talking about 12000+ years ago tho. Even norwegians and sami probably came from iberia
@@gatomerlot5315the celts that invaded Ireland did at least. Basque Country and Ireland share a lot of DNA
Go hiontach ar fad Cormac - maith an fear thu. You're a national treasure.

Maestro!
On a par with something like “Dark Was the Night, Cold Was the Ground”, this is an out and out masterpiece.
Great Presentation,
Carrying the Real pure irish musicical legandry culture that we are

I did not even know this instrument exists but the way he handles it is really impressive 😊

Absolutely insane. Concertina reinvented
Wonderful sounds!!!!!!!
1:10 this part is soooo crazy it just sounds like someon is in breathing trouble... but wait this is about war.. man it just makes sence i get goosebumps all over my body.. crazy thing man i love it
I feel like this can't be easy on this instrument. LOL also, that looks like it would be a workout!
this is actually legendary
Passion ❤
Extraordinary. What an amazing sound
This is crying out for a didgeridoo to accompany this wonderful piece
Ah that's great.
Life ! To war. . . The start. Slow and mellow....infancy..rhythm grows. Moves to adolecence and teenage rhythm comes alive with life . Passion . Dreams. Love. Then the tragedy, the fall, now to war...the rhythm breaks , the struggle , stay afloat. Triumph the rhythm comes back .... reformed and realigned. Rise now the soul is formidable.
Lovely interpretation for a lovely piece of art! that's a nice way to figure it
That was incredible
