Tip from a dog groomer, get a better nozzle on that HV dryer, either a funnel shape or a rectangle shape, and use it on him when the conditioner is still on. Work the hair in a downward motion & if youve done a good enough lather with the conditioner it should do about half of the brushwork for you! I recommend doing this BEFORE shampooing the first time, just wear a mask to protect your lungs from all the dander. Then shampoo as normal and condition a 2nd time afterwards. Side note this is pretty messy so wear clothes you don't care about.
All these tips^^^!!! And a metal comb to pull all the undercoat out and help for a neater scissor finish!! He is MAJESTIC

I've had a Chow before ❤ His name was Chubby, and this video made me remember all the nightmare that it was bathing and grooming him. Now I have a pinscher and... It's only better because it's a smaller dog and way less fur, but the attitude it's the same or even worse hahaha

I’m a professional dog groomer and every chow chow I’ve worked with has hated grooming 😂 I love seeing how sweet Chopper is. That coat is high maintenance! If you put a cone nozzle attachment onto the dryer, that will help dry him faster and blow out some undercoat!

Aww.. he looks so cute! Also yeah I have 2 dogs and they aren’t as hairy as a chow chow but they both shed so I just take them to the groomers and it’s much easier. I used to do it myself, but now I go to the groomers and it makes a difference.

Idk if it’s just here in Canada but plces like pet smart or pet planet that has self wash stations that are supper handy. It’s typically 15 dollars (Canadian) and they provide shampoo, conditioner, in assortments of scents. They also have ways you can lead the dog so they don’t run from the bath. (+ air driers for double pelted pups)
This works well for us because we have a high maintenance doodle, i understand other dogs might not like the environment or might be sensitive to certain cleaning products. For me and are pup it’s worth the price because it leaves the hastle of cleaning up to a minimum.
I’m so sorry about what happend and this tip is good to know the one thing u do to get a dog off of anything get there leash make a hot and pull them up they’ll usually get off ❤❤❤
