*ALL ABOUT PAWS GROOMING COURSE*
girlwiththedogs.com/all-about-paws
How about a "how to do a sanitary trim" course? After paws, I think that's one a lot of people might appreciate. At least those with fluffy dogs. According to my vet, Miss Fluffy Britches, my Great Pyrenees/Anatolian Shepherd mix, should be getting regular sanitary trims of her booty fluff. She has a nasty UTI right now. Problem is, she's very afraid of the vet and I'm assuming will fear groomers too. And where I live, they want $100 just to do the sanitary trim, nothing else. Not even including a nail trim.
With my lack of Dexterity, meaning the flexibility of my arms and hands, I would not even try it! At least, with our dogs, we never had to do their nails. The Sidewalk wore them down enough. In so far as Toe Pads, I had never seen or heard of that done until I started watching your videos. I guess, that would have taken care of their, "Popcorn Paws"! (They always smelled like popcorn.).
@@212Pencils Something ELSE I would never attempt.
I need tips/a course for how to trim a crazy cat's "murder mittens" as you accurately call them. 😸😻
@@BuckeyetheCat Do not watch The Mayonnaise ones. That first video, almost, had me diving under my desk! I had fully forgotten about a cat that punched my nose! He had been declawed & Neutered in the same surgery.
"Its ok buddy, you have to take a bath ur disgusting" gentle but brutal parenting.
😂😂😂
Firm
that's what our parents told us too lol
*really disgusting
😆😆😆
Nigel is not only beautiful, but he looks like a total sweetheart! And his owners obviously adore him.
Great Pyrenees in a nutshell.
He was so well behaved for his first groom!! He's strong as a horse!! What a workout!
Nigel....???
"My shoe has a hole and it's letting in water"
Nigel is a gentle giant. And has a great temperament
Most big dogs are gentle giants. It’s humans that ruin them
Considering this was his first bath, Nigel was an absolute angel! Kudos to his owners for producing a dog with such an exemplary temperament.
I love your profile picture❤️
Shame they couldn't be bothered to take care of his coati wonder how much she pays at the hairdressers.
Most Pyrenees come with this sort of demeanor
@@evanray8413 You've really gone out of your way to act nasty towards these people on multiple comments! Maybe you should find another pastime :) It's clear that they at least kept him brushed, even if not bathed. His coat would have been significantly more dirty, disgusting, and difficult to deal with had they not put in the effort to brush him. No mats at all! I'm glad they reached out to get him bathed, and hopefully now by seeing the results they pick up this habit as well. But that's certainly no reason to go out of your way to be nasty :)
@@evanray8413 they took good care of him by brushing. It’s difficult to find groomers willing to care for certain breeds unfortunately.
To whoever made the editorial decision to start adding the dogs’ internal monologue to these videos, outstanding choice.
💯🔥🏆
I just lost our dog, Polar, along with my loving man, in a horrific car accident. She was a Great Pyrenees. She survived initially, but when she went to check and smell my boyfriend after help had arrived, she chose to pass along with him when she found he had gone. I lost my family on December 1st. Polar protected our mountain, our cats and chickens, our plants, and of course, she was committed to my honey & I. I miss them and can barely get by without them. There are some videos on my channel of her on our mountain and following along the atv, laying in the water...I miss them so much. Pyrenees are protectors & lovers.
sorry for your losses❤❤❤ and thank you for your angels 🪽 🪽
Omg… I’m so sorry… I cannot imagine. I’m crying for you. Stay strong and keep their love alive.
I'm so sorry for your losses. Sending you good energy.
I'm so sorry. I don't know how dogs know, though. We had one dog who was 1 percent of EVERY breed. She stayed with us until I graduated High School. I, still, don't know how she knew!
I’m so sorry that you lost your family. Nothing I can say will make it better. I just want to let you know you’re not alone. You are in my prayers, dear 😢
what a well behaved, Beautiful Mountain of Fluff.
Oh no way, for a Great Pyrenees he was rebelling hard. Did you not see how strongly he tried to jerk his front paws away? That's GP rebellion at its highest peak.
@@DocFunkenstein oh come on, that was his first bath ever. He was great
@@TheImmilky You clearly misunderstood me. :) For a Great Pyrenees, who are naturally passive and relaxed in any situation not involving the protection of their flock (including their humans), he was definitely letting his feelings be known. For a Great Pyrenees. Which means he was still a dream to work with.
But when he was pulling his paws away that hard, that was GP for "please stop this now, madame, for you are upsetting me greatly, and I shall not abide this assault of my person!!!" "See, I warned you!!!!!!"
Before pic: :D
After pic: "clean... but at what cost"
man looks like he got his nuts chopped off
Knowing Great Pyrenees, he probably rolled in some mud five seconds after the cameras stopped rolling.
Mud, if the owner's lucky…
Can we all just stop and appreciate what she puts her body through for these sweet animals. I can't even imagine. I hope that she's getting her massages and taking care of her arms and hands.
She's great.
A golden opportunity for a local spa - they should provide Vanessa with FOC massages once per month - they could video the massage (Vanessa's body would need to be discreetly covered or blurred for the video) but we could hear her moans of relief as an expert masseuse works his/her magic on her exhausted muscles. The spa would get great coverage for their business and Vanessa, who grooms FOC, would get regular, professional FOC TLC. 😂😂
I was talking with an acquaintance about needing to find a new career I can tolerate. Knowing that I'm a dog nut, she brought this channel up out of the blue. My response was a hearty laugh and "There is no chance my body could handle what's required to do that."
I'm thinking about her back.
YES!! ABSOLUTELY. The hands look GREAT with all the beautiful nail polish colours
Taking care of them? Vanessa ought to insure those arms against loss! ;)
OMG, only $300 CAD for that extensive of a session????? I will FOREVER hate the dummies that call you "too expensive", that is an INSANELY generous price for such a groom!
She doesn’t charge
Right? the amount of time, water, electricity and consumed products by themselves for this groom must be worth at least twice more
didnt she even say "while I do not charge my clients for grooming", implying these people didn't pay anything for the groom at all?
honestly that's a steal. even 300 cad is a steal when you consider she spent at least 140 dollars on product. so she charges roughly 40 dollars an hour + product costs.
honestly, I'm kind of shocked how good of a price that is.
@@apples_and_oranges For the grooming part itself, yeah, but she still charges for the bath and stuff, she said $300 CAD for this one
@@pixel6173She doesn't charge her clients (the dogs), but their owners need to pay.
Considering it was his first groom/bath ever, Nigel seemed to be incredibly patient. It’s obvious he really loves people, and has a ton of willingness to make someone happy.
He is a very good cloud :3
That parting glance at the 9:00 mark says "I'm never coming back!"
I was so shocked at the blow dry showing that he wasn’t matted or compacted really at all, he’s just that fluffy! Huge kudos to Nigel’s owners for how well kept his coat actually was 😂
They didn't do shit with his coat for FOUR YEARS.
@@evanray8413 *didn’t bathe him. He’d be horribly matted if his owners had never brushed his fur. Quite frankly, the owners probably didn’t have the space or a perceived need to bathe him, as Nigel seems like a pretty big boy, who was taking good care of his cleanliness on his own. The fact that his fur had no matting at all IS a testament to how loved Nigel is. It’s clearly a Herculean task to brush a boy that big.
@@evanray8413 not bathing and not brushing is two totally different things!
What a good boy! I loved it when Mom called him “Boom Boom!”
I heard Boo Boo! Either way, very cute nickname
I thought "Pompom"? Which, fitting 😂
My family had a Boom Boom when I was little. A King Charles Cavalier Spaniel. Cute, but dumb as a rock. I still love the name, though!
@@maryblakley3590 I have a CKCS. They are cute and obedient but sometimes you look at them and you're like...is there anything going on in there? hehe
I thought she said, "Boo Boo."
I have a 5 year old Pyr. I sympathize with the floof.i brush Sophie every 5 days, so much floof! But when she is done I burry my face in her fur, it’s like putting my face in a cloud. So soft. She loves being brushed, because it comes with lots of snuggles and kisses. My groomer loves her!❤
My friend had a Great Pyrenees when we were younger. My friend and I slept in a tent in his backyard. And his Great Pyrenees stayed up the whole night next to us outside the tent.
Yep, that's how they do. When we go camping, ours will establish a perimeter and walk "patrols" every half hour or so. Such a good boy.
They are actually semi-nocturnal because they are bred to fight wolves
He may not have had a bath, but for that coat to be matt free, it's obvious his owners have brushed him many many times. What a sweet doggo. ❤
Haven't seen Vanessa groom a lion yet, but now I have
Nigel looked more like a polar bear to me, LOL!
A cloud with legs more like 😄
or a polar bear!
.. a royal Polar Yeti ?
It's an albino lion whose mane doesn't know when it should end!
I was literally thinking, "What would this cost if it wasn't being done for free?" the entire video! I'm glad she added that! This is wild! I also can't imagine how many 'sanitary trims' he must require. That's a lot of fur!
A first bath, with that amount of time taken... Nigel is as fluffy as a cloud both in fur and personality, his parents did a great job with him.
I've seen a lot of Pyrs and I've NEVER seen one that fluffed out after the groom. Good Lord. He is so beautiful.
its a cloud not a dog
The most land cloud
@@Betherblog Sentient land cloud
@@BetherblogWith four feet!
I love how confused and bewildered he looks during the entire thing. You can count his braincells on one hand, bless his heart...
🤣🤣🤣
and they make up for it in service and loyalty. Those giant smiley puff balls fight to the death to defend their flock (of sheep)
$300 for the time effort, grooming products aside, your invaluable time and efforts, her owner could provide a donation of a donation to the charity of your choice Nigel came out looking absolutely gorgeous!
He looks like the most giant, fluffy pile of cotton candy I have ever seen! Oh my goodness! I wish I could feel his coat! I bet it's amazing.
Nigel was so sweet. To spend 4 hours with a stranger with hose, shampoos, clippers, nail trimmers, brushes and combs ALL new to him. Hes a fluffy star 🌟
Owners. “where have you Been all our lives”. The best compliment
i've seen too many people selling "courses" so its nice to see someone who actually knows what they are talking about, and is offering something actually important to know that helps benefit both pet owners and their animals.
He looks so good! What a gentle giant, he did great being his first groom for his age.
Poor Vanessa looks like she wants to scream “send help” when she realizes he’s not going to shed any of that and she has to deal with all of that fluff. That dog is made of clouds. 😂❤
I'd have changed his name to Cumulonimbus after that makeover
That was a MASSIVE and BEAUTIFUL Land cloud! ❤
I helped a friend find a new home for their GP a couple of years ago. The new family has 5 children who absolutely adore her. She was a smaller GP and found her forever home. What a gorgeous cloud. Vanessa is an artist!
You're very skilled to turn a dog into a cloud.
It's absolutely CRAZY that he didn't have shed-fur flying off everywhere!
Girl, I salute you. That was a big job! I've never seen a Great Pyrenees that poofy! You need to go see your Nonna tomorrow and have her cook you a yummy meal! So glad to see the owners' reaction; priceless!
The fact the half way trough and he still has a leaf in his coat😅
I thought my favourite part of your videos was seeing the dog at the end, clean and tidy, happily exploring your yard, but the owners immediately becoming baby-talking softies when seeing their dog is really getting up there too.
As an owner of a Pyrenees marshmallow, you have my respect! It's time for me to do this and I'm so not looking forward to the backache. 😅
I hope there is a dog grooming station nearby that you may rent. It's definitely a back saver when I take my Great Pyr to the pet shop.
No need for a blanket and body pillow if you have Nigel. He’s both!
Good boy, Nigel! He was such a good boy and his transformation was incredible.
What a sweet boy! The look of concern on his face when you blew the conditioner through his coat melted my heart. ❤️
"Why are you so strong" Vanessa asks? Nigel has to be a strong beast to carry all that fur around!!😁😁
He looked so casual about it too 😅
Nigel, in a modest tone: "Models have to be strong."
Loved the owners surprise when they saw their precious pup.
“Unveiling a knot free dog!” He is a beautiful dog indeed!😊
The owners couldn’t believe how gorgeous their dog looked after the groom😮
Vanessa, I'm sure you must be exhausted and sore after all of that, but it ended in a wonderfully clean and fluffy white cloud named Nigel. I'd love to give him a huge hug but I see his loving owners beat me to it.
I loved how happy he was with himself when his owners came😆😁
I wonder if their paws are ticklish?......... so when the hair/fur is moved slightly, it tickles them?
He is magnificant!
Mine are ticklish between the pads
Great Pyrenees are notoriously sensitive about their paws. Every time we bring home a GP puppy to watch our animals, my wife makes it a regular thing to massage their paws when they are little to desensitize them so nail care is easier when they are the size of dump trucks 😅
You have a very sunny attitude so lovely
My pup gets foot and pad massages daily while she's draped over me to help with de-sensitizing as her feet are very ticklish. She loves them...the messages I mean lol.
@@jt1364 Oh! I never thought about it before...... Lucky pup!
We lost our Pyr a month ago, his name was Gabriel. Nigel reminds me of him, especially with how fluffy he is and seems to not like having his foot messed with. I miss Gabriel. Great Pyrenees are so beautiful
I'm so saddened to read of your loss. He had you, too. Don't forget that. Think of how many doggies don't have someone to love them. You had Gabriel, you were both fortunate to have the relationship. Take care. Give yourself time. You'll know when another fur baby needs you...
He looked so amazing at the end 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Our youngest daughter and her husband live with Fluffy, a very loving “in your lap” GP. When we pull up in the driveway and open the car door, he’s 1/2 way in the car and in your lap before you can even get a foot out the door. He and his sister Weinie (mini dachshund) take their guarding duties very seriously!
Probably a toss-up as to which is the loudest when they send up the alarm ...
@@FanOblues51 I’ve never heard Fluffy bark, but you could probably hear Wienie a 1/2 mile away!!!
Even dirty, he is beautiful ❤. That paw is almost as big as your head!
Him such a gentleman. He deserves a cookie.
Vanessa you are a legend to take on so much for the love of helping others. Your poor body is put through so much and I hope you are taking care of yourself as well. Nigel is a sweetheart and obviously well taken care of by his loving owners. They would not have been able to do what you did but the took great care of his coat. He is a gorgeous dog and you made him shine ✨ ❤
His tap-dancing just helped.. style his paws! I love this video as a pyrenees owner, especially the "buddy, you're too strong for me!" part. I deal with that every day. So lucky they're gentle giants that let us mini humans live in their presence
Can dogs get ticklish? That's what his reaction to the paw shaving reminded me of.
Nigel looks absolutely Smashing! Great job Vanessa!
I understood this reference. xD
Great Pyrenees are amazing dogs, good with families and good protectors.
His Mom & Dad were so excited to see how clean and white he was!!!🥹
What a beautiful ball of fluff
Which one 😂
I am so blown away that he wasn't matted!!! Truly amazing!
The expression on his face in the before and after killed me... He looked so happy all dirty, after, "now all the other dogs are gonna make fun of me" 🤣😂🤣
He is Glorious
Nigel seems so sweet for his 1st bath his white just came out unbelievable how beautiful he is thank you
Can peroxide be applied to his stained areas?
They love him so much, it tears me up to see animals so loved. I wish all dogs had a mom and dad like him.
Drooling or not Nigel is beautiful. Like a huge ( unsticky) marshmallow ❤
That is a really nice dog. Very sweet. Pyrenees are very sweet dogs.
Gota hand it to Vanessa she's a true hustler! Pet groomer, UA-camr, business owner, pet products distributor, works with charities, now lecturer! I probably missed some stuff in her portfolio but I have no idea where she finds the time to do all of that! Your amazing! 🤯🐶💪
He looks absolutely fantastic and the owners seem to do a great job of maintaining him at home for his coat to loosen up like that after a bath and he is well loved.❤ Such a beautiful boy.
That's the biggest marshmellow I've ever seen. What a good boy he was during the entire visit.
Nigel's doing great for a first bath!
Sweetheart and Poom Poom. Nigel really has his parents right where he wants them!!!
I'm retired now but use to work in a groom shop in South Florida called Miracle Workers. You are truly a gifted loving Miracle Worker. I've oftened wondered about the owners when picking up. Please share more of these reactions. It was always one of my favorite parts of my job! ❤God bless you.
I want to give this huge fluffy boy a big hug so badly 😭❤
I had the exact same reaction when I first seen my puppy after a groom. These people can work miracles.
The Cutest Cotton ball!!! Oh my!!! I'm laughing so hard at the brushing part.
Wow!! A cloud was created and now walks amongst us! .... I hope your arms are ok! That was a long makeover! But, what a beauty! Loved the owners reaction!
What a handsome boy! Even before his bath and "spa" treatments!! So beautiful. ❤❤
Such a beautiful transformation. You always do a spectacular job on all your grooms as well educate us along the way. I love Nigel’s mums reaction when she sees him in all his white cloud glory 😂
He’s a giant, beautiful cloud ❤
Wow that is one Sherman tank of a dog.😳 How beautiful you made him look though, and he was really such a good boy for his first time 💖
I'm thankful for my Great Pyr Mix, Sasha. Her other half is Border Collie and Springer Spaniel. She's a tricolor farm dog with a black bib that doesn't stain from drool.
I think this is the fluffiest boy I've ever seen
What a STUNNING dog❤
Congrats on the New Course🎉
Wow! How to turn a dog into a polar bear by Vanessa. 😲 Nigel is totally stunning.🥰🥰 Good job owners for bringing up a very beautiful, well behaved fluffball. 😍😍 Fantastic job as always Vanessa, miracle worker extraordinaire!! 👍👍👏👏💪💪
Oooh this is gonna be a good one
Right?! Nigel is so regal.
Right?! ( :
I love how far this channel has come and the growing of the brand with her own products. Fluff off de-sheading conditioner? Perfect
I loved seeing this video because I have a 6 year old Great Pyrenees. They all have that same pant❤
It can be said that Great Pyrenees are exceptionally fluffy dogs: that right there is an exceptionally fluffy Great Pyrenees! I've never seen such an exquisite, massive coat on one of those dogs, I can only dream how soft and warm he must be to hug.
Nigel did fantastic! He is so fluffy. ❤
Hi Vanessa! I love you’re videos! A little tip I learned ~When washing these large, double-coated dogs I like to thoroughly blast the shampoo into the coat as it helps get all the way down to the skin and get all that dirt and grease out! I tend to avoid using the conditioner in these coats as I find it’s really hard to washout (especially if matted) and blasting out their coat can take even longer, as it makes there hair greasier and prevents the coat from blowing out as easily. You did an amazing job on this groom and hope this may help you out in the future when grooming these magnificent beasts!
I’ve learned so much from your content and hope one day to complete a groom with you! Love from the UK!
💖✨🐶
OMG HE'S SO FLUFFY!!!
That bath was only 1 hour???!!! Dang, it seemed longer!!!😂😂😂
47, I think! 😂
God bless this creature
One of the best I've ever seen! Such a great job for a grand, loved gentlemen!💕💕
I have a neighbor with a Pyr, his buddy passed last year so they now foster to help, and to have a companion for him. He's the most darling lovable guy, and sometimes all too stinky! But sure love how fluffy he is after a bath!!!!!
Nigel is gorgeous after your hard work! I'm so impressed that being a tiny little groomer you handled this amazing beast with courage and love. His Makeover is astonishing! Hugs. 😍
Pyreneans are such sweet dogs when raised with a family. You did a great job today - Nigel is such a big strong dog, but so good natured.
A majestic cloud ☁️
Nigel is One Giant Floof Cloud! What a Sweetie Buoy! WOOF! 💖😇💖
Vanessa: “ I can’t brush you if you don’t stand”
Nigel: that sounds like a you problem 🤔🤷♂️😮
I love the look of devastated concern pyrs get when something they don’t like is happening.
So FLUFFY!!!!! What a good boi, even if he dreams of tap dancing and tug-o-war. Great parents that at 4 his first groom was lovely without tantrums
