I wonder if there's gonna be somebody to ask Will Smith, Tatyana Ali's Fresh Prince Of Bel Air co-star to make a subtle reference of the late young actor in future Live-Action Aladdin films? It seems that the late Robin Williams wasn't the only person to voice a character from the original animated versions. Jonathan apparently voiced an Aladdin character named Mozenrath whose first appearance was in the animated TV series.
@@kandiiyuutaamu It is sad to say this but Jonathan's role in Aladdin has been largely forgotten along with the tv show itself. (it hasn't even been released on DVD) I do wish Jonathan would be more remembered by Hollywood though.

I used to love this show, a space drama underwater. I wish they would bring it back in some fashion.
They could bring this show back yet they would always bring a political statement in the show these days that’s all networks do in current tv shows
They could do what they did with Star Trek: TNG. Set the story many years after the original series with a new cast and crew.
The wife and I always believed that Jonathan Banks was a very underrated, and underutilized actor too.
For all short and troublesome history and even with questionable changes later - this was AWESOME SERIES.
Thanks for the upload, that's so cool to see Jonathan Banks from Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul in it.

We all share your sadness. 💔 It's hard watching him on seaquest and imagining the world today without that smile or voice anywhere around. But as fans we can all band together to keep his memory alive forever. I hope someday Jonathan will be more appreciated and given more credit for his accomplishments.

@@lordfaladar6261 I guess he was to focused on his TV-acting carrier and did not put his earnings save. So he prcactically stood there with almost nothing when his reputation faded after the series had ended Especially since Johathan Brandis had been a truly gifted actor.
At least that was to read in the newspapers here in Germany. - That one REALLY deserved the Classification as a tragic and sad end.
SEAQUEST ... had been a very populare show here in Europe. So that is why I could not understand the cancelation.
In my eyes, the reboot with Michael Ironside as Captain Oliver Hudson had been a success. and could had gone on like the one of the STARGATE show.

Love the show, especially with Roy Scheider (he did get a bigger boat by the way). The end of each episode had thing from Woods Hall Oceanographic institute. By the way, how did this show influence me, well I am a bubblehead, specifically a Shower Tech.

I hate that he was just pushed aside and forgotten. Even when he died it barely made the news with the exception of some articles. He was a very decent person with morals and was very kind. As far as I know there was nobody he worked with or met that disliked him.

Plus, I just realised that those same actors who were with the late seaQuest actor, didn’t give any last words about him either. I suppose like Greg and Mary Brandis, the majority felt that didn’t want to get involve and not want people to think it was for financial purposes EXCEPT, Tatyana Ali, Don Franklin, Danielle Harris, Louise Barille and Arthur Allan Seidelman from that Boulevard Of Broken Dreams interview in 2007 as well as Leonardo DiCaprio fir the Rolling Stones Magazine interview in 2010.
Additionally, possibly both the IT crew such as John Campopiano, Seth Green, Emily Perkins, etc.

When Cameron Boyce died last year it was completely different than when after Jonathan died. EVERYBODY talked about it. His parents were on good morning america. His co-stars talked about him. His parents even want to bring awareness to epilepsy. No one accused them of trying to do it for financial gain or publicity. When Corey Haim died people talked about his death too. Whatever the reason for people's silence when he died I hope one day his friends and co-workers start talking about him again. I'd really like to see a in-depth documentary about the good times everyone had with Jonathan and how we can help people reach out instead of ending it all.

I also forgot to add is that there were also some actors and a actresses who died too young like Jonathan Brandis that nobody remembers; Shawn Phelan, Rodney Harvey Christopher Pettiet, Heather O’Rourke, Glenn Quinn, Brad Renfo, Lee Thompson Young, Michelle Thomas and both Brittany Murphy and her husband, Simon Monjack.

The first season was the best, it started to lose its way in season 2 and the whole Alien abduction just killed it... I often wonder is a reboot now would work?
A reboot would work but they need several key elements. 1. A good young cast. 2. Amazing cinematography. 3. Realistic and relevant undersea storylines.
If it was done properly it would be highly successful. But intelligent Hollywood minds are difficult to find these days. 😛

Loved both series. Saw them when they aired. Didn't own any way to record the shows then.
The ideals were a little different from what I believe now, but their fight was ALWAYS to maintain life... which is in keeping with my ideals.

I loved this show when it aired but I must admit I liked the Roy Schneider captain over this one shown in the video. I believe that was his name but please excuse my spelling if I got it wrong. I would love to see the show come back since I thought it was pretty neat and of course I was into conservation and the environment.
Yeah I'm the same. I much prefered the first two seasons. The third had too big of a shift and was very jarring to transition over to.

Jonathan Brandis. I have not heard that name in a long time. Had a super crush on him when I was young, I watched everything he was in, my favourite was SeaQuest DSV. I am super surprised that he is mentioned here and not so long ago and by younger people. I would have loved to have seen where his career would have gone. Brilliant!

Johnathan Brandis is still sorely missed to this day, but can we also think about what Michael Ironside would later become. Sam Fisher from the Splinter Cell series.

I was always disappointed with the season two and three bridge set. The first season set absolutely kicked arse it was a totally original design. It's totally a shame that it was destroyed after the final episode of the first season because they thought the TV show wasn't going to get renewed.
Moving from California to Florida probably didn't help.

I remember watching this as a kid and I couldn’t wait to grow up. I was looking forward to all of the technology and living beneath the sea and having a flying car. Turns out that the only prediction to come true was the ecological disaster. :(

Not long ago it came out that the ozone layer that they claimed would destroy the world and was to far gone had just fixed itself...

I thought Peacock is asking for a credit card - so I could not enjoy... It´s difficult to watch SQ in Germany (even with vpn - the server detects it) and unfortunately UA-cam deleted all episodes from the channel last year - only resurrection ist still abvailable. Please conider: there are also fans outside of America!
A credit card isn't required to watch SeaQuest with. Credit cards are only needed for premium shows.

Roy Scheider was right in his decision to quit the show when it turned more into science fiction than the actual marine and oceanographic discovery show it started out as.

I don't know why he killed himself. He was still so young. Lots of options in life. Maybe stuck in tunnel vision if what he wanted.
No one really knows why. Not even his closest friends or parents knew. The theories are out there but it's just speculation.

Michael Ironside was on V the miniseries and later on V the series and later on he was in Star Wars episode 1 Star Wars Episode II attack of the Clones and he has a recurring role on Star Trek Voyager and Star Trek Deep Space 87

It's too bad this show took the path that they did. They were really onto something by 2032. If it hadn't been screwed up so bad by then and people were watching it I think the show could have lasted a lot longer. It's too bad they cancelled it when they did. Maybe it could have rebounded.
I wish they would've filmed the next episode. It was a lucas centered episode about finding his dad.

@@kandiiyuutaamu Season 2 was what caused seaquests fatal train wreck. The 3rd season was an improvement but episodes kept getting preempted by nbc sports which didn't help the situation they were already in.
Travis Snyder I guess there are going to be some people who felt the executive producers were way ahead of themselves when they work on the latter two seasons. However, that WOULDN’T stop me from LOOKING AT THEM AND MAKE THE JUDGEMENT MYSELF!

@@blondeboyworld That's sweet! Although, I am not one of his many hardcore fans, it doesn't mean I shouldn't acknowledge and respect the kind of person the late young actor was and the things he did in life.
However, I constantly get mixed feelings when it comes to his fanbase. Don't get me wrong! I don't believe Jonathan's fans are bad people, they're just lovesick crazy for the guy in a very innocent way. It's just that based on the relationship both he and Tatyana had, I would rather see him with someone who can literally look out for him especially when it involves his wild fangirls. They're an absolute force to be reckoned with! XD
@@kandiiyuutaamu One of the things that I believe that may have saved Jonathan's life was that he needed a serious friend/girlfriend. Something I don't think he had despite having a small group of friends. He needed someone that would watch what medicine he was taking or sit down with him and plead him to get help with his depression especially after saying "I might kill myself" (Probably would've been nice if he had a roomate) Plus I think all his fans had good intentions. When I think of Jonathan or River Phoenix. I think of how great it would be having them as just normal friends. The way Jonathan's fans could've won his heart would be to treat him like hes a normal guy. Treat him like hes not part of hollywood. I think a lot of stars want to be treated that way when they meet people. I know River absolutely wanted to be treated that way.

Probably a result of relying to much on technology from the structure of the ship. Even now we have the issue of relying to much on computers. Or perhaps the tanks were in a room that wasn't accessible after the ships controls failed.
