hi brother! I made the mistake of not lubricating hinges and latches last year and now I'm dealing with a stuck hood release latch. When I pull the lever on my 2006 A6 it does not release the latch. It was becoming increasingly more difficult for it to release and I should have lubricated it, lesson learned. If you have any info on how I can either lubricate the latch with the hood shut or how to help release the hood another way I would greatly appreciate it! Love the channel, keep that A6 going friend!
Sorry about that. You have to find a way to remove the front bumper centrer grille from underneath. From there, you may find your way to the mechanism. This video will give you a clue: ua-cam.com/video/VwjXMZR229s/v-deo.html Good luck to you 👍🏾
Thank you Dan. I don't think the door handles need to be lubricated. When you pull them, they pull a wire that activates the latches I believe. So the latches are the important part here. As for the sunroof track and seal, they do need to be lubricated. I will soon make a video about it. They use other kinds of lubricants.
@@ThatAfricanGuy In your upcoming video would you please include any techniques you might use for retrieving loose parts (springs, clips, screws) that may have moved to other areas of the sunroof cavity?
Addition: There is another hinge system at the top of the side doors. Please lubricate it too.
Thank you, i will make it on my A6 too.

Good video. Should we lubricate the sun roof track and door handles at this time? Thank you for your time making these videos.

@@dankenney5212 Well noted. I will do.
Thank you for the video. Great car color and great t-shirt. Do you really need deicing properties of the lubricant in your climate?
I appreciate your comment. No, I probably don't need the deicing properties 😅
@@ThatAfricanGuy Actually, I need them in mine. Hello from Russia.🙂
@@tubebreguet You need them indeed. Sending you some sun from Africa 😎
@@ThatAfricanGuy 👍😁😎🤝
Hi did you ever order the hpfp yet? 😁 no rush
Yes I did. But it will take time to get delivered because it is taking the ocean route.
Could you advise what hpfp is?
