Audi A6 C6 Door Lock replacement - door not unlocking FIX

The passenger door of my 2005 A6 would barely ever unlock from the outside unless you open it from the inside. It would stop opening again the next time it was locked.
This is the fastest and cheapest way to fix the issue. A genuine lock will be better quality but cost much more. The door gap is very, very tight. Allow a few hours to try and get the old unit out.

Well, I have this issue on mine, unfortunately, and I will have to tackle this fiddly job once I am back from vacation. Your video is very good young man, thank you very much!!! How long did it take you? 2 hrs?

Thanks! It probably took me 3 hours total. Getting the lock out of the door is the hardest part by far - you really need to be slow and strategic.

@@lucavangorkom9453 yes I noticed this is a fiddly job... It reminds me of when I fixed the lock on the BMW Z4... Also on the passenger side... Is that a lady thing? Smashing the doors? 🙄🙄🤣🤣

my problem is that the passanger door won't open from inside or outside at all. Does the door lock mechanism have any connector that might come loose after long time of using the door? The door haven't opened since when my brother closed it really hard.

Yeah something definitely could've come loose, but you should feel it in the handle. If the handle feels strange, then it will likely be loose.
