I’ve owned Audis for over 20 years and in my opinion the more you service them at dealers, the more goes wrong with them. All I do now is change the oil twice a year and filter once a year. I have spent hardly anything on maintenance on my current two Audis, a Q7 and A3 TDI over the last 5 years. The thing that break would still have broken had they been fully serviced, like suspension bushings etc. so save up on service and put the money aside for when something breaks is my advice. I now have over $15000 set aside from not doing regular service and will use this to fix any major issues.

Great find. Lucky to get the service history. That at least proves the car has been looked after. I'm making sure my Suzuki is serviced every year and the book stamped. Not planning on selling it soon though

My old man recently sold his S500 2014 and bought a 2019 Q7 50TDI and he’s quite happy with it to be fair. S500 was an amazing long wheel base and very very well spec however very expensive on fuel … 3 months in he’s quite happy..

I can understand going for cheapo tires when a pilot sport 5 is £305 before fitting!

$1180 New Zealand dollarydoos each (£560) including fitting for Conti sport contact 6 here, PS4S is pretty much the same price.
I had a really nice Honda Accord CL9 I sold for less than a set of those tyres not long ago!

I have a 2006 Allroad and I change the tyres at about 3mm. I drive it like a limo so expect 30k from a set of budget tyres....strangely enough, it's never stepped out of line even in slippery conditions. Of course if you launch the bluddy thing everywhere you go, your mileage may vary but I currently have 4.5 mm of tread left on all four and rotate as needed and they'll get through the mot in a couple of months time. Budget tyres aren't bad, certainly not for my style of driving and they last as well as premium. But yes they get replaced as a set.......so hopefully no drivetrain issues for me.

Wheels look aftermarket or an unusual option. Load rating on the tyres doesn’t look right. Rear number plate looks crooked. Coolant leaks very common on these. OEM Rear camera is an essential retrofit.

Don’t be concerned Matt, with that age and mileage, Audi has to have some information on it. Example, my 2017 BMW had no history when I bought it 6 months ago. I bought it at a BMW dealer in Dallas Texas. So, prior to signing, I went to the service department and Bingo, they had every service from new!

@@vladandrei51 The point is that bent suspension arms etc. can unbolted and replaced, but the vehicle has possibly hit something really hard to bend all the items listed in the MOT fail. Rest of the vehicle these items are attached to if bent needs to go on a jig. Matt says car was pulling to one side on test drive and this is after presumably the £1,800 bill mentioned from the Audi dealer. It seems strange to push CarVertical but appear to only use it after agreeing to purchase the vehicle. Odd.

With a premium car brand, condition is everything. I’ve bought a car with similar history in the past (a Lexus) and managed to get hold of the full service history by making one phone call. As an aside, I’d never buy an Audi with full leather as it tends to go baggy after time. Presumably, larger people buy Audis 🤣

The lack of service history would always worry me. Especially on a car as expensive as this. Another big worry is Landsail tyres is a red flag for me any cheap tyres usually tells me the car was run on a tight budget

Hi Matt just check the Audi dealership with your rapport I'm sure one of them will let you know It's an online record of the maintenance work your car's had done to it. It's usually stored in your car manufacturer's secure online database, and it's only directly accessible by official dealers and workshops, although you can usually request printouts of previous work.(I should of watched the video all the way through before trying to help haha) i didn't doubt you would get the history well done , not a bad result .Matts High peak Bin hiding today i see 🤣
