And I'm talking about actual military vessels, not the ragtag, poorly designed scrap that the Resistance reduced itself to using (seriously, no Y-Wings?!). Maybe if it wasn't captained by a total moron, the Mandator-IV could get off a few shots from its phallo-cannons before it got swarmed with TIEs. Given how it survived asteroid impacts at-speed while pursuing the Millenium Falcon through the Hoth asteroid field, I'd say the shields on the Executor could tank a couple of those shots before it started taking actual damage.

Flood wins. Period. End of story. No, seriously, giving the Flood access to a full galaxy of biomass BEFORE the fight starts means that they have Keyminds from the get-go. After all those '''Hyperspace Kamikaze'' no battleship is star war is worth anything, a reasonable development of plot would be everyone start using hyperspace capable torpedoes, war become a duel between scouts and spies. But we all know Vice Admiral Gender studies need her nice big ship to assert dominance over the white male supremacist running the Empire, so nothing would happen.
Cool spotlight on an equally cool ship! Always nice to see Fractal's work getting recognition. Now a little while back I remember that you did a video on dreadnoughts and how they fell in and out of favor in Star Wars, I didn't comment on that one but this reminded me of a very important role that these ships could potentially serve which wasn't brought up: Commerce raiding. You've got a big ship that can't easily be overpowered, it can hold a lot of resources and stay independent for a long time, depending on what ships it hits you might even be able to resupply off of your targets, but even then refueling and rearming in deep space by meeting up with support ships is still an option. A single dreadnought could get in, hammer a target with overwhelming firepower, and then get out before anyone had a chance to respond. Given that planets like Couruscant exist which are almost entirely dependent on imports to survive I feel like this could be a VERY effective tactic for cutting off supply lines and distracting enemy fleets into chasing phantom ships.
I would fucking love to see the assertor class in a complete massive fleet fighting a full scale battle against the Vong warships during their invasion in 25 ABY just imagine how fucking badass the Imperial/Alliance fleet would be

A suggestion for a versus series video: The Dominion from star trek DS9 against the Covenant of Halo. In any case I really enjoy your videos. Keep up the great work.
I wouldn't mind seeing how the post covenant war UNSC would fair in a match up again say high charity from the time of halo 2 when the elites were still in charge of the fleet there and see how the unsc would go about staging an assault on such a large amount of ships and a station with the ships they had created post covenant war.
They'd probably crash one of their shielded frigates or destroyers through the dome of High Charity and barf out a legion of Spartan-IVs into the holy city. They ain't Spartan-IIs or IIIs, but they absolutely outclass anything shy of the Silent Shadow, or particularly 'roid-raging Brutes. One problem: During the age of Halo 2, Jackal snipers are literal death-gods deciding who lives or dies. If Legendary difficulty is representative of the actual events of the Halo series, there are going to be a LOT of "missing" Spartans.

I think it’s important to note that if the Venators unleashed every ship they had, they’d have over 1500 star fighters and 5 corvettes on their side with the ISD having no point defense besides the Tie fighters which are severely inferior craft, even the Tie defender isn’t enough to save it in this much of a numbers disadvantage, my money’s on the Venator with that massive star fighter compliment

*The UNSC vs the Chimera (Resistance).*
Could the post UNSC be able to stop a infestation of the Chimera from Resistance on Earth or would they be forced to evacuate the planet? And how many casualties would there be by the end of the conflict?
Thor's Hammer wouldn’t the unsc win instantly since the chimera don’t know the unsc have a fleet, and the unsc could just keep bombarding the surface
@@frost1262
The UNSC wouldn't result to immediate bombardment like that they would likely result at first sending in marines to investigate several massive disappearances of populations like villagers and towns that turn up empty in several areas around Earth and first contact is made between the Marines and Drones in secluded areas and engagements are made. It all depends on the timing the UNSC learn about them and their response. Likely at first containment and evaluation of cities and several towns will be their first course of action.
@@thorshammer7883 They'd use passive sesors and use RADAR and LIDAR from orbit before sending in reconnaissance using drones or Pelicans, reviewed and refined by ship smart AI's.
If not, they'd dispatch a Prowler and go from there.
Not if the domain is in orbit, though they could stop the chimera, just by bombardment and they would overwhelm them right

What domain?
Please pit it against the Supremacy, Sovereign or Eclipse II. Also would like to see the Mandator III take on a Viscount Star Defender.
UNSC Infinity vs the Executor, or the Eclipse
Crusader class corvette vs. the Hammerhead class corvette(Battle of Scarif model).
Also TIE Hunter vs. TIE Dagger.
If the assertor is the king, then the eclipse is the dark night that usurped the kingdom for like a week or 2.
Most people probably don't realize it, but those ultra-heavy turbolasers are each about as wide as the CR-90 is long. The bridge of the Assertor is basically a beefed-up version of a typical ISD-II bridge tower, which is what I use to determine approximate scale.
I'd like to see you do the Malevolence (Subjugator-class heavy cruiser from Star Wars) vs. the UNSC Infinity (Infinity-class supercarrier from Halo).
2 Mandator II Dreadnaughts vs 1 Executor SSD
Tie Baron vs Tie Defender
Tie Silencer vs Tie Whisperer
Tie Baron vs Chiss ClawCraft
Victory 1 Class Star Destroyer vs Providence
Coruscant Police Gunship vs U-Wing
Venator vs MC-75
Saber Tank vs UNSC tank
Also, I found some dude on Reddit and UA-cam called GeneralGrievousHero who is actually convinced that Grievous is a hero and ships Grievous and Rey, it's the funniest thing ever.
What about turians (mass effect) vs Elites (halo). The turians idk why but always gave me elite vibes
Probably the mandibles that have you the vibe. I think it could be interesting, but mainly in a large-scale. What I know of elites, they'd probably win easily one-on-one.
I'd say the Turians would win in a military engagement (mass accelerator guns can get past their shields if unsc bullets can). But would potentially lose a 1 vs 1 as Elites are bigger and stronger
Hey, if its not too late for Versus request, I've been interested in breakdown as and comparisons of advanced TIE models like the TIE Defender and the TIE Advanced against something like a Droid Tri-Fighter.
Almost wanted to build an Assertor in Space Engineer, my PC is going to blow up so hard that you can see a second sun rising from horizon though.
Ive built a 1km ship in SE and im pretty sure that no current pc could process a 16.5km ship.
Well I'm building a 300m ship on Xbox so imagine a 1km
@@quarterstogether2005 yeah, its pretty big.

The UNSC Anlace Frigate vs the Arquitens Class Light Cruiser
Venator class star destroyer(full capacity) vs imperial 2 star destroyer

Yup. Venator wins if it gets its fighters and bombers out before it gets into range of the main batteries of the ISD-II. That thing literally has no point defense; Palps should have taken the guy who designed it and used his corpse as reactor shielding, that was such a dumb design flaw.

@@fancyblackpantz well my point is that the Helicarrier we see in 2015 Avengers Age of Ultron that they can cloak and the weapons they use would be able to beat the ISD's shield because they're not energy based
@@awesomeness1941 You are aware that particle shielding is standard on all spacefaring vessels as a protective measure against micrometeor impacts, yes? Furthermore, we know that capital ship particle shields can stop large masses traveling at great velocities as shown in Star Wars Ep. thank you for finally going over this ship easily my favorite of the super dreadnoughts. just a big, fat, bulky death machine that just looking at it coming towards you would scare anyone.
I'd love to see more eve online vs xxx. Eve has some of the most interesting scifi ships I've seen and has so many specialized ships to go head to head vs any other scifi ships. Personally I'm a big fan of small fleets especially anti support ships (curse). It would be interesting to see how a small fleet would do vs another faction from another universe. I've watched the other videos but I dont think you did eve the justice it deserves. The ships are so diverse you could do hundreds of videos of vs for eve.
Eve ships are mostly based on how they're fit though, they dont have any canonical fits. Also, the A.I. controlled versions of the ships are... atrociously bad, usually.
One of my all time favorite scifi designs, wish they would give fractalsponge a book like Jane's Fighting Ships. Be nice to fill the Star Wars galaxy with the design variety, variety in ship sizes, and overall details it deserves. Also loved that a commission he did for me was featured in this episode.
Nice, which model did you commission?

I have a matchup you probably never heard, The Marauder cruiser vs the Broadside cruiser. They are both small/medium artillery ships that make an even fight.
Versus Idea: First Order Dreadnaught Vs. The “Executor”
The CIA of the internet Are you talking about the mandator 4?
Yeah ( I’m really bad with the names )
That'd be kinda fun. I'd probably give it to the Executor-class Star Dreadnought though; clearly, the point defense on the Mandator-IV is so pitiful that it might as well not be there, and the Executor carries HUNDREDS of fighters and bombers.
Anthony LaMonica i agree with here
A beauty for sure Fractals OG, love watching his work
Ancient humans + Forerunners vs Flood. All factions at their peak. For example the flood jumps in from a totally assimilated galaxy and the factions battle it out in the milky way galaxy. No Halo rings allowed, the forerunners wants to perserve all excisting life. Like if you want to see this !
Flood wins. Period. End of story.
No, seriously, giving the Flood access to a full galaxy of biomass BEFORE the fight starts means that they have Keyminds from the get-go. That means they have the ability to abuse Neural Physics, which is for all intents and purposes the Halo equivalent of real-life cheat codes. They'd need to LET themselves lose.
Love the sound quality, a nice upgrade... really noticing it now

I love the design because of the cluster of weapons. It reminds me of the blister weaponry on Mon Cala ships.
They should rename it to "Queen of Super Star Destroyers",
unless they want Vice Admiral Gender Studies to go Kamikaze on it.
Sequel Trilogy: _write that down, write that down!_
The Bellator will always have a special place in my heart but the Assertor is also another beautiful ship
