"Maggie has so much depth!" says the man who doesn't even know her last name.
I don't know how these ppl fall for ppl without knowing as much as their last name...
Remember when Felicia moved Zach into hotel Forrester and didn't even know his last name??
Your so right about that
@@TriniT21 Her last name. That she's from Iowa. That she has a daughter named Jessica. That she's staying at La Casa Forrester. _None of these things_ have ever come up??
@@NewYorkNick0607I guess that kind of stuff doesn’t come up in "deep" conversation... 😐
"Maggie has so much depth" say the writers, having failed to show us that in _actual characterization._
I find it amazing that no alarms have gone off in Maggie's head. She _JUST_ left Dylan under very similar circumstances as Jessica's, and its just a mere coincidence??? It doesn't even dawn on her to ask his name after all this time? Does she even know her daughter was in a court case over statutory rape?
Good question on that last score, bc if she did know her child was in a statutory r a p e case, she'd know the defendants name was DYLAN SHAW.
@@TriniT21Omg you are so right! Did Dylan tell Maggie his last name though?
*Jessica:* "Oh mom. Dylan and I have nothing to do with you and dad."
Actually Jessica, it has _everything_ to do with your mother.
I am still trying to figure out where the writers _intended_ to be going with this mother/daughter pair. It seems every couple of years (usually when all the existing cast members have married into the Forrester family or otherwise been absorbed by it), Bell feels the need to introduce a couple of new "have nots" who can give us the "impressed outsider perspective" on the Forrester family. And then they too become part of the Forrester lifestyle (or simply disappear), and it starts over again. After Maggie/Jessica, it will be Amber.
I think it has to do with the Forrester family, and Forrester Creations, being a kind of "black hole" in the fabric of the show, which pulls every new character in (unless they end up on the Spectra "satellite"), meaning hardly anyone _stays an outsider_ on this show (the litmus test of no longer being an outsider being the ability to show up by Stephanie's pool unannounced).
@@annieo6527 oh, Amber. After she does it here, they move her over to Y&R and she does the same thing with the Chancellors (RIP Kay/Jeanne)
@@annieo6527 That's a _great_ observation Annie. You're so right about that insider/outsider dynamic being crucial to the show. I think the problem is that the cast is relatively small so the outsiders inevitably end up as part of the Forrester clan (the "black hole" you described). On Y&R for instance, with a bigger cast, outsiders have more room to interact with other characters and don't have to become Newmans, Chancellors or Abbotts. The other problem is that this show (for whatever reason) has never been good at writing middle class or upwardly mobile characters. Bill Bell managed it somewhat with the Logans but Brad has no feel for that in-between class so instead you get hicks like Maggie and Amber.
@@annieo6527 PS: I also don't think Brad Bell does long-form storytelling like his father so the intentions for Jessica and Maggie may have been vague. If they wanted to go this route, they should've just brought Kristen back, pretended she had a baby while she was in New York that everyone knew about, and SORAS the kid.
@@annieo6527 Annie and Nick, some context from the 90s: even though Y&R was number 1 in the ratings and B&B got a huge ratings boost with the Sheila crossover storyline, the CBS soaps were always behind ABC and NBC with the coveted younger demos. (CBS in general is watched by more adults/older viewers) So in 1994, both Bell soaps tried to fix that with storylines featuring younger characters. Y&R introduced Nick and Sharon and B&B introduced Jessica and Dylan. For lots of reasons (more appealing actors, better writing etc) Y&R was a lot more successful with this and Nick and Sharon became instant daytime stars with younger viewers tuning in and shipping them, Emmy nominations for both actors, and Joshua Morrow got covered as a heartthrob in teen magazines. And they remain to this day popular _leads_ on Y&R. That never happened for Jessica and Dylan but that was what they were trying to do on B&B as well.
Jasmine fell 3 stories on an elevator and all she has is a sprain ankle?😂🤣😂🤣
I can't believe that jessica and maggie can't put two and two together
It’s so unbelievably ridiculous that Jessica only refers to her boyfriend as “boyfriend” not his name. When in the real world would that be the case? 😐🙃
She clearly learnt this from Ridge who still doesn't know the name of Ms. Volunteer. 😂
@@annieo6527hahahahaha
None of this makes since😂😂. Maggie went to Dylan's apartment and neither one of them know each others last name...that's wild to me. If I'm going to somebody that I just met house, I need to know their full goverment name😂😂!!!
@@kristiaspight332 I would assume their name was on their apartment door. How else would they get their mail?
@@annieo6527 their place might have a row of mailboxes in the entrance, like mine? 🤷♀️
I wish they did more with Michael, she was lowkey stunningly beautiful even compared to the other cast
She had more to do on 90210.
Same. Michael's cute and her character is more interesting than Jessica. It's really not a good look that 90's B&B couldn't find anything to do with any of its characters of color -- Ruthanne, Keith, Michael, Jasmine, Claudia -- and just shuffled them off the canvas.
Lindsay Price was such a snooze as Janet on 90210. 🙄 Michael is a more interesting character!
I know it's a soap, BUT I still dislike the writers insulting the intelligence of the viewers. I agree that Jessica not telling her mother her boyfriend Dylan's name is absurd. And now with Dylan being written as a cheater, it makes me support Eric and Stephanie's conviction even more that Dylan was older than Jessica and therefore he shouldn't have taken her virginity when she was 16 or 17 years old, whereby committing statutory rape. And I am also glad that Jessica basically kicked him to the curb when later on she decides to go to college in England. And this Maggie character is such a bore. I don't why the Forresters have embraced her when she is just an inlaw. Maggie is no blood relative, her husband John was. This storyline is so stupid.
This episode makes me miss Sheila😢
I miss her always talking to herself about whoever she was beefing with😂
It hasn't been the same without her. I miss it when Mike would show up in her office and she'd snap at him " What do you want, Mike?" Poor guy 😊
@laurastrobel718 I am truly enjoying the Shelia free episodes..I can wait for the truly obnoxious woman to return .!!😂😂
@@MrCraigblaze She made my blood pressure go up to be honest so I understand lol 😹
She’s coming back in 2 months if I’m right in The Asylum
Why are two card keys dangling from Darla's ears?
😂😂😂
As Darla needs to stay true to her character even in serious moments😂
It's the only way she doesn't misplace them and get locked out of the office.
Hahaha. I've always liked Darla's whacky fashion. Especially in her early days with her long hair.
@@annieo6527First, she has to _remember_ where they are.
At this point, they could send the ambulance chaser lawyer to take up Thorne's case. Can't be any worse than the corporate attorney, Connor, who has been basically ignoring his client facing the death penalty...
😂😂 Maybe the ambulance chaser can help Thorne sue his family for neglect.
At this point, Thorne will be free faster if Maria sends him a cake with a spoon in it, so he can dig a tunnel.
@@NewYorkNick0607 and emotional distress...
Thorne who!!
I just posted why Thorne’s storyline dragged on and put on the back burner.
@@acasburn1460exactly! Thorne's storyline is the most interesting one at the moment and yet it inexplicably gets dropped for many episodes in a row just so we can watch Jessica and Maggie.
Why is it that the only suspensful and exciting storyline on this show is consistently an afterthought? There's lots of potential with this Sally/Jasmine showdown, but it should have come into play after the Anthony storyline was over. It's too much of a tangential distraction from the only action the show is seeing right now.
Thank u!
I wrote a comment wondering why they started this storyline in the middle of the one with Sally's daughter trying to catch a psychopath... It's wildly inappropriate at this time 😕
Totally agree with you and *Trish* on this. Sometimes it feels like Brad just doled out parts of the show to different writers so there's no way to integrate the storylines or sequence them right.
Yes, the problem is that the writing for the rest of the show doesn't take into account the seriousness of the Thorne/Macy/Anthony storyline and how _several characters_ are in grave danger at this point. So we get other storylines happening which actually feel distracting in this context, and where you feel that this could wait until after the Anthony story is resolved, so as not to actually detract from the tension.
The worst example of this is yet to come though. As we are approaching the culmination of the Anthony storyline, these extremely tense scenes will be contrasted with Maggie/Dylan/Jessica scenes in a completely tone d e af way. After a certain major cliffhanger for instance, the next episode starts with what feels like an _endless_ scene of Jessica and Maggie cooking pasta, leaving us to wonder if a certain character is even alive at that point...
@@annieo6527 So once again Rotterdam offered a preview: Macy collapsing on stage and then no indication of whether she was even alive in the next episode.
@@NewYorkNick0607 well, kind of. At least this time we do eventually get back to the storyline later on in the episode, but the fact that one episode ends on this dramatic cliffhanger and then the next episode starts with... tomato sauce and Jessica and Maggie talking - at length - about their (uninteresting) relationship. And when that scene finally ends, we transition to... Jasmine and Michael discussing a _book._ And THEN we get back to the one storyline that's actually interesting. It's a strange writing choice because it's one of those episodes that should be centered on the one dramatic storyline, but instead Maggie and Jessica almost get _more_ air time than Sally and Macy.
So with Maggie and Jessica I am just rewatching Flo/And Nina on The young and the restless !! 😂😂
Barbara Crampton was Leanna on Y&R 😊
@kristinazubic9669 Yes I know that..But the show also had Nina and her mother Flo as well..
Sally will end up sharing a room with miss Malone 😅😅.
Not that I don't love seeing Sally. But why in the world would they give her this storyline in the middle of her daughter being with a psychopath?
So they can play the two of them sharing a hospital room for laughs...
Sally is the “more cowbells” in the show. 😉
Tell me about it. More bad sequencing from Brad. At least though they opened this episode with Sally worrying about Macy. That's more than we get from Stephanie & Eric about Thorne. 😬😆
@@NewYorkNick0607 true 🤣
I hope Ridge at least stopped by the jail to finally visit his brother on his way to "think"...
Does Thorne even know that Ridge has had this 2 wives problem? I get the feeling that the same way his family knows nothing about what's going on with him, he also knows zero about what's going on with them...
@@TriniT21 Thorne would've read about Ridge's wives on the front page of every newspaper (meanwhile Thorne's case is buried in a side column on page 12).
Thank you so much for this episode and I hope that everyone had a great weekend too
🇹🇹💯🇹🇹 If Jessica had introduced her boyfriend to her mother initially she would not be in this predicament now!
Angel Trinidad West Indies.
🇹🇹💯🇹🇹
Also none of this would be happening if Maggie had introduced _herself_ to Dylan...
Voilà !
Now I've watched 2085 episodes, watching several episodes every day. Bold and the Beautiful - 1995 (S8 E334) FULL EPISODE 2085 These episodes are from 1995. Why do I have to wait for a new episode every day here on UA-cam? Since they are from 1995, I will never finish the entire series as long as I live with only one episode per day.
Well, it’s not up to us obviously. At least we get the one episode and on the weekends. It’s obvious by now, this is all we are getting for now.
MAITLAND WARD IS A KNOCK OUT BACK THEN
Jessica went from running away with Dylan and couldn't live without telling him every day how much she loved him...to now feeling like she shouldn't have to tell him every day she loves him.
Ridge face :, 😐
I'm still wondering what was the point of that stupid Dylan on trial storyline just to get to this point...
Remember when they were going to get jobs in Mexico? That place that's so full of gainful employment? 😂🥴
The proof Brad wasn't able to craft new characters till Amber I think. Michael starts well but she has already become the woman the homemaker .
@@babs4848yes, Michael started out really great and quickly became watered down.
If she had shown that kind of restraint during the early days of the relationship, there would have been no court case.
@@babs4848 Amber was quite an interesting character and the actress played her well.
I knew they would water Michael right down when they started making her have feelings for Dylan. And she doesn't get better as time goes on. They really needed to keep her as a smart mouthed smartie pants.. Too bad they didn't.
Today's episode isn't very good
Your so right about that
If looks could kill... The smirk on Jasmine's face when she turned towards Sally lol
If I were her, I’d make up on her promise of someday “Owning” Spectra Fashions lol. I’d being suing Sally for everything she’s got and then some.
@@trevorbayers2175 didn't Ridge and Brooke ensure this happened with 'Logan Designs' or something when Massimo took over Spectra

What a snooze of an episode. 🥱 😴
No Queen Stephanie? No Macy & Anthony? No (god help me) Brooke?
