Mike has been the only steadfast person in Sheila's life. The most devoted, loving, caring to the point of even helping her with her crimes and she will never appreciate him.

Brooke kissed Ridge several times just before and while married to Eric. Ridge saw what happened to that marriage. Experience tells him he should not trust Brooke 😅

The best thing about having these episodes from different years is that we see the hypocrisy. Ridge kissed Karen and Brooke, passionately the day before he married Taylor in 1992.
Well, Ridge and Caroline shared the most passionate kisses when he was with Brooke.

Poor Sheila, she's still delusional. James is a psychiatrist. He of course has a gentle way and there's that accent. But he's not in love with her or attracted to her in a romantic way. I kind of feel sad for her.

Well, yeah, all except for devirginizing James up at Big Bear in the aftermath of the earthquake and keeping quiet about it. (Which came back to bite her in the ass in 2006.)
Brooke in this era was all kinds of shady, but Taylor running her mouth like she never did anything really grates in hindsight.

Egyptian Goddess Ya, but if you watched very carefully the things she did to surprise Ridge in order to keep his interest in her,although they had just been married, you would realise how scared she was of Ridge running back to Brooke.
Brooke looks so sad ... when she is down ... and yet the same Brooke was so cruel to Taylor and even threw plane ticket at her mocking her and making fun of her losing Ridge to Brooke ... Brooke how can you now expect sympathy from Taylor?

It was not a betrayal. There wasn't lust. She confessed in a letter. There aren't any scenes of Stephanie or James and Taylor talking about the letter. And the writers didn't want to develop that SL
