Loved her style of reviewing. She speaks from the perspective of the average consumer rather than an enthusiast. It was very refreshing to not have to listen to whether the dash was soft touch or not, or if the door sounded solid when it closed, if the backup camera quality wasn’t super crisp (as long as its very usable, ppl really don’t care), 0-60 time, and the list goes on.
bro you trippin her style was trash. even in the beginning she's like "mkc, mkx, mkt, oh thank goodness this one is called the nautilus" so boring and out of energy. the lines were trash too.
She's from MotorTrend. She worked with David Freiburger and Roadkill. Her name is Elanna (not sure on spelling) She's a total car girl. Mopar nut! She knows her stuff.
She gives incredible reviews. Totally logic based. When I buy a car, after reliability, I car most about what it will be like to operate the vehicle on a day to day basis. She covers every aspect of what it’s like to live in the car and operate every little thing in the car. Again, just super informative.
Really appreciate this review for focusing on the details that make this car unique. No need to spend more than a few moments discussing performance: it's a luxury crossover.
No. The main reason why is because this is just a refresh. If this had a modern Lincoln interior(aviator) than I truly believe this possibly could. However with the incredible outdated interior, this car just isn’t worth the price tag.
Lincoln is redefining the American luxury vehicle by way of understated luxury, personal comfort and giving the ownership experience a sense of occasion. Finally taking the lead on the world stage instead of taking cues and playing catch up with European and Asian brands.
As a Lincoln tech, I cringed both times she pushed opened the cubby (where the phone goes), then pulled it closed. Correct operation is push open, push closed. When you pull closed you break the latch that holds the cubby open. I replace those cubbies all the time on mkx.
I thoroughly enjoyed watching this reviewer. She kept things light, and real. She wasn’t trying to shove the car down our throats, but explaining both good and bad. She was funny, and seems to be very genuine. Hope to see more of her!! Ps. Thank you for including Infiniti in your luxury brands comment. Everyone always forgets!
Here's a good trick for remembering which gear you're in Elana (at the 05:58 videomark). The specified switch button should be illuminated, but easier still...if the car is going forward, it's in D. If it's going backwards, it's in R. If it's stationary in your driveway, it's probably in P.
I'm very happy they chose to go away from the MK- nameplates. When someone said they had an MKZ I didnt know what they had, "Is that a car? A SUV?" and I'm one of the biggest car geeks out there.
The shelf in my mkz is usually occupied by a handgun, point being whoever you are and whatever you’re into, the shelf is a great place to keep things you don’t want your window smashed over. I’m not sure if that’s a concern for everyone but it certainly is here in the suburbs surrounding Atlanta.
Love the review Elana but you should never need your phone out with the hands free connectivity . Also , you have the paddle shift. We just bought a Reserve in white. Thanks for the great info.
I wish they had been able to update the interior dash and IP. I also am really looking forward to the new Aviator. Very glad Lincoln is changing from just trim packages of Ford's, using real names and bringing back clean classical styling. Also lover the reviewer!
As a long time Lincoln Towncar owner I am undewhelmed! NO one makes a bug car anymore. Today's top of the line cars are almost the size of what we used to refer to as "compacts"!
I agree with u 110% i just wonder how that going give u information with music or tell about the automobile or compare one and other with music this is by far the best information u can get great job need to review all cars and suv she done her job very well
I've been driving a 2013 MKX and had just one problem in 95000miles. I use a dealer in Atl and Mobile for oil, tires...Lincoln service has improved 100%. They drop off a loaner, take and return my car - give me a small gift bag (snacks, candy...) with the loaner. Lincoln is usually near the top of JD Powers lists. FORM MOTOR COMPANY needs to: 1. Load all Lincolns with all the options as STANDARD, along with latest safety/tech/electronics as STANDARD (stop calling base cars Luxury, with all the features you want as 'Available')…(Keep that for Fords) 2. Then lower the pricing, significantly. Lincoln needs to undercut BMW, MBZ, Audi - so that when comparable shopping - it's a no brainer. LINCOLN NEEDS TO GET THEIR CARS ON THE ROAD. 3. Yes, Ford will not make - as much $, maybe lose some $ -- but they will sell more cars, giving them traction in the market. You can't run - till you can walk... (THEN they can start upping the pricing)
Re: with pushbuttons, can’t tell what gear you are in? Hint, if you are going backwards, you are in reverse, if you are going forwards, you are in drive ...
One shouldn't be driving if he couldn't tell what gear the car was in with these modern cars... Perhaps paying attention to the dash is useful, you would think...
Lincoln's killin it 4:10 exactly! Lincoln gets it. Plenty of space gotten back by moving the automatic shift away from the center console to where t should be, just a few non-obstructive buttons.
It's really bad, they need to be outputting a minimum of 30, but ideally 60. This isn't a film, it's an automotive review. The reviewer did great, however.
I am a ford user but Ford now got a long way to go to do better interior for their price points, small SUV here in Canada 35-50K, pickups like the F150 at 60-90K with a full plastic dash and tiny 5-7 inches center display fake leather might as well by a BMW !
The new rdx has a much better interior, much better than this dated looking vehicle. For me, Lincoln has no brand cache, I'd rather get the Ford edge and save thousands.
I suspect they didn't go for the full update because they want to see how it does in the segment, but the interior not being up to current Lincoln standards might not/won't provide accurate data. It definitely looks better outside!
I'm sure the Lincoln badge would be more acceptable than a Ford badge in the country club parking lot but I have to wonder if the Nautilus is worth the $25K difference in price compared to a top trim Ford Edge Sport with all the trimmings. I seriously considered the latter a few months back when I was looking at a midsize crossover. I was impressed by the 2.7L turbo V6 and the fit/finish of the Edge was quite good. Unfortunately, my wife (the most frequent driver of the vehicle) preferred the Kia Sorento and I couldn't blame her. And while the Nautilus is obviously a luxurious place to spend some time, the Sorento nearly matches it in a similarly sized, more efficiently packaged, and nearly as luxurious package.

Im a Ford fan been buying F150 , and Rangers smaller trucks because of the Canadian fuel cost near $6.00 the US gallon , but i think trough the years they became overpriced and with very plasticky insides ,if you pay 50-60K for a small SUV truck up to 90K for a full load F 150 you might as well buy a Mercedes it's crazy in that price point to get fake leather and a full plastic dash with a small 5-7 inches display with all the techno geeks fan we've all became , never like Dodge to much but the inside of their 1500 BigHorn pickup line sets the new standards with a 12 inches center display and real leather and real wood inserts send every brands back to their drawing board for small SUV and pickup trucks for 2018-2019 if you goto lay an amount near the price of a small home better deliver on it !

Its a 2018 with an updated front end. They just removed the 3.7 engine in the line up...next best thing is the 2.7 . The small 4 cyl engine is too small for the weight of the vehicle.

Love this woman’s reviews, she is great to watch ! Refreshing to listen to a woman who knows her cars and trucks...
what a refreshing point of view. a realistic review and expectations of a car. more reviews should be done like this, from a normal users perspective.
As long as Lincoln watches it price, it has some great offerings. Also love that they are using real names now for there vehicles.

My 1st time watching... I luv how ginger and right to the point this was. Very practical. Ty!
No. The main reason why is because this is just a refresh. If this had a modern Lincoln interior(aviator) than I truly believe this possibly could. However with the incredible outdated interior, this car just isn’t worth the price tag.
The new Aviator looks amazing.
This interior does look a bit outdated.
The interior is identical to my 2018 MKX but doesn't feel old.
This is actually a step above "just a refresh", most mid cycle facelifts are just a new bumper and grill kind of thing.
Better than Cadillacs interiors, I love the Cadillac exteriors but the interiors look and feel cheap.
Nice review! My hot rod days are long gone, I'm much more interested in a serene, comfortable drive now. The Nautilus may be it.

No. They will do whatever they want to do. Your opinion does not matter. You are a amazing person. Dont let materialistic objects control you. :)
Aviator??? They stopped making that back in 05
One of the above replies is funny as hell and one of them is from someone who doesn't pay attention to cars.
The new aviator is a preview of what it looks like. It’s a concept car not production
It’s just a concept at the moment
Finally someone doing a review I can relate to. You talk of the car in real world time. Thanks.

How the hell do you come out with a brand new vehicle, change the name, advance exterior styling, and keep the same old interior??

That whole MKWhatever naming scheme for every model was a terrible idea from the start.
What the heck were they thinking?
It's so pretty... When I saw the movie get out I like it...but this design is great. But no hybrid.
Its a 2018 with an updated front end. They just removed the 3.7 engine in the line up...next best thing is the 2.7 . The small 4 cyl engine is too small for the weight of the vehicle.
