    What else do you want to see with the Nautilus? We’re taking this vehicle on a long distance road trip and want to include your suggestions in the video! Let us know by replying to this comment.

    THANK YOU!
    It was EXTREMELY refreshing to see a video about a new LUXURY vehicle that actually appreciates LUXURY characteristics seldom found in most new LUXURY vehicles!
    SOME luxury buyers WANT a luxury car with a floaty ride for the long commutes back and forth to work each day that isolates the cabin and passengers from EVERY expansion joint in the road.
    Most roads and bridges in America are NOT in the greatest condition, so I'm wondering WHO had the idea that ALL luxury cars should have rock like rides quality with

      We've watched a couple videos on Lincoln's where people complain they aren't sporty, I just have to shake my head when I watch those. We're glad that Lincoln is mixing things up in the luxury space and doing something different, not all buyers want an uncomfortable sports car, and Lincoln is one of the only ones making comfort the priority.

    Beautiful vehicle! Did the MK brand have anything to do with the old Lincoln Mark names? Mark 1,2 and so forth; can’t recall what the last was. Just wondering...

    • @PRNTestDrive
      @PRNTestDrive  5 років тому

      I'm sure that was the intention, although officially the Continental Mk# stood for Mark, and the only vehicle Lincoln ever used the Mark nomenclature for outside of those was the pickup truck, the Mark LT. Some of the MK-Somethings stood for their original names, like the Zephyr became the MKZ, and somehow the Town Car became the MKT.

    I agree they improved outside looks a lot and the real name makes sense. It is good looking outside.
    That interior center area is beyond old. Wasted space all over and the button transmission control setup is weak. I prefer your old Lincoln towncar interior 😇
    They need to replatform Nautilus on new Explorer.
    As for engine, your old V8 had smooth power everywhere, no lag. Turbo 2.0 liter has lag, and is a stressed little power plant for this class of vehicle no matter the power and torque rating, there is lag. Luxury means power without having to plan passes.
    Again I say test a Jeep Grand Cherokee in Summit or overland version and you see they are ahead of Caddy and Lincoln two rows.

      Paul M One word.. “AVIATOR” I’m glad they brought that back. At one point there was a rumor of Lincoln developing a rwd sedan but apparently it’s been canceled and replaced with the rwd Aviator though they do have the platform for it now.

    • @PRNTestDrive
      @PRNTestDrive  5 років тому

      The Aviator will definitely fill that void, I had recorded a quick part going over their crossover/SUV lineup with some footage from Lincoln but I ended up cutting it. Aviator will sit above this and below the Navigator, but will be sold as a proper SUV and not a crossover.

    Glad they are changing weird letter names to actual names. Cadillac should do the same thing!

    • @PRNTestDrive
      @PRNTestDrive  5 років тому +1

      GM seems pretty committed to the letter thing, despite the guy who came up with it stepping down earlier. Lincoln's going in the right direction.

    For $67K CAD, I would buy a 2020 Ford Explorer ST or Platinum.

    • @PRNTestDrive

      Based on price alone we'd rather go with something like the Kia Telluride for $54k.

    Oh, yes: the Mk-WTF. Yes, a very refined luxury crossover with a serious misnomer predicament. Lol. No, since everyone is revising their nomenclature, why not rename every vehicle on planet earth. I could go on but seriously it's a great looking crossover and will sell quite well most likely.

      We're already starting to spot these on the road, whereas MKXs were few and far between compared to Cadillac XT5s.

    I agree with you 100%. Luxury cars should be smooth & soft like this car. But the interior they dropped the ball. I'm not paying 50,000+ for plastic. I refuse.

      I'll be curious to see what the Aviator brings to the table. The Continental was missing a nice dashboard, but I believe the US-spec Nautilus (and Continental) come with full leather dashboards on the top end Black Label trims.

      BMW X3 has plastic vinyl seats. Sticky and smelly. A cx-5 has better seat materials.
      Reminds me of a 1970 base Plymouth

    I like the exterior Looks. But $57K in USD or a Loaded RDX, Palisade, Telluride, Santa Fe’ All offering MORE Car for $$$ and saving you Thousands of Dollars in some cases over $17K over the Lincoln and much longer warranty and then figure in your best price buying the Hyundai Group Products add another $4K off. The Telluride is a hot ticket so it will be a while before it’s heavily discounted but the Santa Fe with the Turbo and a heads up display or the Palisade with the heads up display and a lot more power and room for up to 8. And the Lane Watch Camera built in the cockpit is very safe and cool. Anyone buying the Lincoln is doing so for Brand image. The Hyundai group is making cars and SUVs a lot more quiet and ride better then a lot of top GM vehicles.

    • @PRNTestDrive
      @PRNTestDrive  5 років тому +1

      That's always the way it goes for luxury vehicles, you can ultimately get more for a lot less in the consumer segment, buy you don't get that same level of prestige that comes with the brand. The Kia Telluride was a seriously good crossover, it's no wonder they're having no trouble selling them here.

    Lincoln has really carved out a space in the US luxury segment. Meanwhile, Cadillac, aside from the CT6, is making laughable ugly crossovers thanks to your typical GM beancounters :(.

      It's very possible, the other SUVs/Crossovers in Lincoln's lineup all have the tablet-style infotainment system stuck on the dashboard.

      The tablet style screen means it's a bigger screen in your line of sight & field of view as you're driving down the road making it easier to read navigation directions & adjust vehicle settings.

    Lincoln messed up when some marketing design idiots didn't understand that the "Lincoln Mk IV" meant "Lincoln Mark 4." Instead, they invented that stupid and uninformed "MK" moniker not having even the most basic knowledge of Lincoln Motors and almost destroyed the entire brand. Someone older should have corrected them years before today.

    • @PRNTestDrive
      @PRNTestDrive  4 роки тому +2

      I think the MK Something was one of the worst choices Lincoln made. I'm glad they're going back to names for their vehicles.
