    Yeah definitely talk more about 'real world' sizing. Good shout 👍🏻 Still surprises me that people buy the matt finishes as they mark just by looking at them??? Sold my Multi-tec but wished I never... my Shark Vision-R is fab but the vents are pants, and my new nxr is ok but bloody noisy. I'm gonna get either the Neo 2 or AGV Sport Modular next month!

      Thanks for your comment, we're always up for some positive feedback! Could you elaborate on what you mean with 'real world' sizing? The Sport Modular is really awesome too, that's going to be a tough decision for you ;).

    Next time, talk about the size and shells size too.

      Good point! Must have missed that out as there is so much to tell about this helmet.. For anybody reading this: the Neotec II comes in three different outer shell sizes and the sizes go from XS (53-54 cm) to XXL (63-64 cm).

    • @stevenfebvre5151
      @stevenfebvre5151 6 років тому

      Yes sorry I did sound a bit vague. Is the new Shoei the same as the last Neotec 1? I had a Multitec and was a size M, (my head measures 58.5cm so bloody typically I sit bang smack in between M & L).
      When I tried the Neotec 1 in a medium it was putting too much pressure on my forehead but the Large was too big. I'm sure they changed the shell in some way from the Multitec to the 1st Neotec? I'm hoping they've done that again. Even with cheek pad changes it didn't feel right. Helmet manufacturers seem to go out of there way to create a bigger gap than normal between medium and large??? 🤔
      Also does the inner sun shield drop any lower than the Neotec 1? I know quite a few people found it interfered with the 'line of sight' when sat bolt upright in sports tourer mode, if you catch my drift. Thanks

      @FortaMoto  6 років тому

      The shell is new, so it could well be that the new sizing suits you better than the old sizing. In this case the size large has a bigger shell size than medium, so it could be that you are inbetween sizing. The sun visor drops down around the same as the Neotec 1.

      FortaMoto Hi & thanks. I decided to pop down to my local store as they had the Neotec 2 lid in. If I'm completely honest it felt exactly like the Neotec 1. The medium felt just a tiny bit on the wrong side of tight and the large I could take easily on and off without opening the lid!! 😮
      Also imho the sun visor not dropping further down (yet again) is a big boo-boo on Shoei's part, how hard could that of been for shoei to implement, even if only 5mm more.
      What I did learn however (and never knew before) is that not only are the cheek pads changeable for bigger or small sizes BUT the centre head lining is also available in thicker and thinner sizes! That could change things if I could find a dealer prepared to allow me to try a thicker head lining.
      BUT also worth mentioning is the Neotec 2 is HEAVIER than the Neotec 1 (measuring like for like sizes) . If the new AGV Sport Modular is as good as they say (and over 500g lighter than the Neotec 2) then quite possibly it will be a game-changer?

    It’s pretty simple, you need to put side by side the new one and older one from the same size

    Do you in fact have this helmet in stock and ready to ship??....I'm in America and looking for gloss black in XXL , and would you also have the srl unit in stock for shipping too...thanks for the info.. will the srl pair up with the sena freewire?? That is a huge factor for guys riding newer harleys.

    • @FortaMoto
      @FortaMoto  6 років тому

      We do have the Neotec 2 in stock, just not in every colour and size. The glossy black XXL has not yet been shipped to us. We expect it to arrive soon though. Check out the video description for a discount - if you order it then you will be placed on the pre-order list to get the helmet sooner, they are starting to sell out very fast. The SRL should be able to pair with any system, especially Sena systems.

  • @Ignoravo
    @Ignoravo 6 років тому +2

    Nice, but they force you to put the compatible Sena. Any other intercom is practically impossible to install.

    • @FortaMoto
      @FortaMoto  6 років тому +1

      Do you have experienced that yourself? As far as I know is it also possible to place an universal intercom inside the Neotec 2 like for example a Cardo Freecom. But correct me if I'm wrong ;)

    • @Ignoravo
      @Ignoravo 6 років тому +2

      FortaMoto I don’t have this helmet, but I got a Cardo Freecom myself. If you look at the sides of the lid, you can understand there’s not any possibility to put a clam mount. If you wanted a sticker mount, this should be put much higher because of the plastic cover that is supposed to hold the Sena in place. The only clean solution would have been to put the universal intercom a bit forward, but you can’t being a flip up.

    • @FortaMoto
      @FortaMoto  6 років тому +1

      Good point! Using the clamp it will be a difficult job, but I think using the sticker mount can be possible. However the intercom unit will be placed a little bit further back. We should try it when we have the Neotec 2 in stock ;)

      I spent a small fortune on a twin pack of the Sena 20s. I have been waiting for this helmet, now I'm really disappointed that my 20s won't fit. I'lljust keep my old helmet. Such a let down.

    • @FortaMoto
      @FortaMoto  6 років тому

      Shoei say that it is possible to use other intercom systems, applying the console onto the helmet with the clip would be impossible though - you would have to stick it on.

    I've worn the S and M in a local shop and sad to say is that I'm in between sizes (57mm) the smalle is snug. Maybe a bit much. And the medium feels a litle loose. Maybe it's bacause I'm comming from a shuberth c3 pro small but that one gives me a headache. Any tips for the size, chose S and hope it breaks in of go medium and maybe get thicker cheek pads?

    • @FortaMoto
      @FortaMoto  6 років тому

      It depends a lot on the shape of your head. If the S feels too tight around your head (the top of your head) and gives you any kind of pressure points, then it's usually bad news. The M might be too loose, so it's hard to recommend one of these sizes without actually seeing the helmets on your head. However, if you're able to pop down to Amsterdam - definitely check out the Shoei Personal Fitting Service in our store: ua-cam.com/video/kT59ylXgphU/v-deo.html

    Hello. Are there any additional visors available for this model yet? Will the visors of the older Neotec fit on this?

    • @FortaMoto
      @FortaMoto  6 років тому +1

      Hi Angryris, additional visors in the colours Clear, Light smoke and Dark smoke will be available around the end of February or mid March. The visor is completely new so the visor of the Neotec 1 will not fit on the Neotec 2.

    Hello, still in doubt between a C4 and the neotec II: when we can see a comparison or a real road test, communication system included? Thank You

    • @FortaMoto
      @FortaMoto  6 років тому +1

      Hi Roberto, as soon as we have received the first Neotec 2 (this one was a pre-production model), we will make a real comparison between the C4 and the Neotec 2. I expect it will be somewhere in February/March. That will be an interesting video😉. Choosing between those two with the information I have at the moment I would say Neotec 2 👍

      FortaMoto Thank you: i look forward for the video. As for the helmets i have the same opinion at the moment. 😁

      I´ve had them all, and imho the best modular helmet in the market is the BMW System VI (haven´t tried the new System VII yet, though).

    • @WouterVijfhuizen
      @WouterVijfhuizen 6 років тому

      I'd like to see a comparison between a BMW System 7 as well. Since both have the "j" certification, which the C4 doesn't have.

    • @rockingrodders8551
      @rockingrodders8551 6 років тому +1

      I own a C4 & I bet the shoei is cheaper,quieter & more reliable..The C4 is comfy but not quite..when I shut the air vent on the top I get a whistling noise..I sealed the visor with clear tape to stop it steaming up inside the double glazing..seriously Schuberth I expected better..shoei & Arai Have always made the best lids & probably still do in my opinion..!!

    Did anyone else have to drop a size ? As this helmet felt a tad bit big, I have a Shoei RF1200 (USA) tried on same size in Neotec II and it was loose.
    -cheek pad change was already done

    Trying to decide between Shoei Neotec 2 and Nolan N100-5. Any advice to help me decide.

    • @FortaMoto
      @FortaMoto  6 років тому

      It really depends on what you're looking for, Walt. The Shoei Neotec II is the winner in my book, but that's like just my opinion man. Pricewise the Nolan N100-5 is the tastier helmet, but the Neotec II does excel in almost every field. What are your main concerns?

    • @walttanner5813
      @walttanner5813 6 років тому

      Quietness and Safety. Best communication hookup

    • @FortaMoto
      @FortaMoto  6 років тому

      I would dare to say that the Neotec II is the quietest and safest helmet. It does depend on the fit and how well the helmet enclosed around your face/head. When it comes to safety; Shoei's composite fibre outer shell vs. Nolan's Lexan polycarbonate outer shell. Communication is hard to say, both new systems haven't arrived yet - but they both look very impressive and well thought out.

    When will the Sena option become available?

    • @FortaMoto
      @FortaMoto  6 років тому

      Hi Christophe,
      it is expected to arrive around the same time as the Neotec II itself.
      So to give you an indication: it should be available in late January ;)

      It is called the Sena SRL1. www.fortamoto.com/shoei-sena-srl1-shoei-neotec-2-intercom.html

      FortaMoto thx. I tried the neotec at a show and realized it was not for me. Another bmw (system 7 this time) helmet it is then, even though fitting the sena S20 was challenging due to the different collar contour

    what would you recommend, Neotec 2 or AGV Sport Modular?

    • @FortaMoto
      @FortaMoto  6 років тому +1

      It depends what you’re looking for. I dare to say that the Neotec II will be quieter and more comfortable. If you’re looking for a more sporty modular helmet, then maybe the AGV Sport Modular will be the best option to go with.

      FortaMoto looks like the neotec II does offer more comfort, as a beginners rider i think this will suit me best.

    They could save several ounces in weight by eliminating the sun visor and all its bits by simply going photochromatic on the face shield. And at a $600 price point, they should.
    I have little faith in 'modular' helmet chin bar's fidelity in a worst case scenario, but it's probably a way better scenario than wearing an open-face or pudding-bowl.

    • @FortaMoto
      @FortaMoto  6 років тому +1

      That would make the helmet a little lighter, but one of the main things that people ask for in a flip up helmet is the sun visor. I guess as long as there's enough demand, they will keep making it this way.
