Thanks for the vid. However for anyone watching, you can easily access the blow motor by just completely removing the very first lower piece he goes over. Once it’s removed (undo the three wiring harnesses + one clip) the motor can just be dropped right out. No need to remove of even touch the glove box etc.
Your video helps me locate the blower moter resistor it's in the back left blower moter attached by 2 screws and a wire harness my fan stopped working and replacing this part solved this problem 😀
Thank you Michael for sharing this video. This one really helps anyone with no mechanical backgrounds like me. I find it as a blessing to have someone with your mechanical skills to humbly share your knowledge and time. The most important part to me was the "HOW TO DO IT " part and the tools and parts needed to FIX the issue/s. Your step by step procedure was very precise and I really admire that. Mainly, because it is hard to comprehend sometimes the terminologies being used when watching some folks sharing their DIY videos. This was very very helpful to me and I hope that you will have more videos to share in the DIY skills that you possess. God bless and Good luck in your next sharing of your videos. Appreciate it so MUCH ! TY TY TY .
Thanks for video. I just disassembled and removed my motor thanks to your video. Thanks to people like you we have so many useful DIY videos on youtube! ❤
Im still kicking mine and banging on it. Been 2 years lol. But my arms are tired now. Ive taking it off before and got deep into the motor trying to save it. Like literally taking the motor apart. Theres really no saving it. Its a very very simple job to replace this motor out. All you really need to take off is the first lower cover to gain access
Just happened to my 2004 GX470. Started making that same whining sound about two weeks ago and was getting louder, until three days ago it just stopped working. I found a guy who specializes in A/C repairs to replace it today. $37 for the part and $100 for him to install it. I gotta say -- thing lasted almost 21 years and 323,000 miles! How can I complain?
