Doesn't have the greatest reviews and it's from China. I'm tempted to buy it but a little worried it won't last that long. OEM is $260 though so quite a big difference in price. 🤔
Well I can say mine has been working like a champ and it comes with a year warranty so not too much of a risk there. Plus honestly I wouldn’t be surprised if the “OEM” one is made in the same factory.
I know this video is 2 years old, but you just saved me so much time and money- ordered an OEM Lexus part for $60 and it only took me 30 minutes to replace everything to get the A/C working again. Thank you so much 🙏
Hey man thanks for the video you did a good job editing that together and not wasting time and talking too much I appreciate it you did a really good job thank you you got right to the point and didn't skip any steps awesome
Thank you soooooo much for this video! No heat in this NewYork weather has been terrible! First time doing anything like this on a car. Hopefully the last lol
YOU JUST SAVED MY EFFING LIFE! This worked on my 2006 Lexus GS 300. I'm in Houston and we are in a heat wave with temps over 100 degrees plus and I'm a gig worker who works in my car for 10+ hours a day! I have been without AC for over a year thinking it was a super expensive problem. I was able to change out this fan with a butter knife because my tools are in storage and I'm in between places. OMG the hardest part was the last screw in the back. This ish was easy AF! GOD BLESS YOU!!!!
Great video! Pretty much my exact problem except for my fan is squeaking. Nice job with the camera even in the tight spots. I feel confident to do this myself.
Thank you for saying that. I try to make sure I don’t miss a thing when I film my installs so thank you. It’s easy, you will crush it. Have a good weekend.
Wonderful video! Just what I needed. Had that same noise on level four and five in a 2013 Lexus RX 350. Once I dropped the fan, found two large walnuts in the cage. Darn squirrels! But at least I didn’t have to replace the motor. I recently replaced the cabin air filter and those nuts dropped down into the cage.
Thanks for posting it, man. I did the same on my 2010 HS 250h with a OEM fan. Mine was easier because there was nothing blocking the unit. Just removed 3 bolts and swapped out the fan. Saved $$!
Thank You so much for making this video. Especially with the intro which shows exactly what the issue is and how it looks. I didnt replace the unit with a new one but searched a video on how to repair the existing unit. My logic was if its spining there is atleast some life left. Even tho your replacement probably is better than the factory original. There is a video on disassembly of the blower and basically all you need to do is press in the retainer at the end of the motor which has become loose over time to allow more play in the system which causes the rattling. Regardless Thank You so much for this video. I have an 06 IS250 and probably had a bunch of issues with it and this finally came up. Another issue is the transmission for some people. Sometimes the ECU harness wire will loose continuity if you check at ecu and then again at trans harness/valve body you will see the issue.
You made my night man. It’s very rewarding getting comments like this. Thanks for watching my video and for the tip. I got a bunch of Lexus IS videos coming soon. Ttyl man. 🤙🏻
Just did this today , I had no symptoms or signs leading up to it completely failing/not spinning at all. A small handheld electric screwdriver will work for the front 2 bolts
Thanks for posting this. I Replaced the fan on my 2012 RX 350 with the fan you recommended in the video. Like you said three screws and one wiring harness clip, out and back in (didn’t take 45min). The velocity is slightly higher but not significantly different. Regardless, it’s every bit helps in Fl. Thanks again for posting this!
Many thanks for video, I had exactly same noise and followed your video and changed it without problems. I only used ratchets size 10 mm and 8mm; and didn't disconnect the control unit, just carefully moved it away

Thanks for the video. This literally happened to me a few days ago, after hitting a bump in the road harder than ideal. 😂 I was parked close to an airport when it started and seriously thought it was a plane. Lol. The noise has stopped for now. Hopefully it was just a one off. But at least I know what to do now.
My 2011 ES350 wasn't as efficient new as my previous 2007 model. Currently the fan has a slight whirring sound, got the same replacement. Getting installed this week by technician friend. Will let you all know the success.
Thanks for the in depth video just did mine and it took 15-20 mins very easy replacement, i find using the 8mm socket and 10mm for these screw works great, keep up the good work
Thanks for the great video. I have a RHD, and it's a much easier process. Once the panel is dropped off, you can access the AC blower motor, without the need to remove that control unit (the one with the 3 connectors)... All done in 20 minutes.
