- This is a review and comparison of the new Sig Sauer P365 XL and the Glock 48. We will do a point by point comparison of the two pistols so you can get a general idea of which one would suit your needs to most when you consider buying your next CC pistol. Enjoy!

The 48 isn't like a single stack 45. It's like a single stack 19. The 45 has a grip length of the 17.
Right i was thinking that too. The 43x is a closer representation of that. A shrunken version of a G45, short slide long grip. Has a 43 slide and 19 grip length.
Right! This guy bothers shit out of me.
Glock not having a quality control problem keeps me with them over Sig. I’m loving my new 48 in black!
Mikey Rodriguez Same! Bought mine two days ago, all black with the Ameriglo night sights. It feels AMAZING in my hands. Glock knocked it out of the park with the G48. It feels very similar to a Colt Commander IMO. When Sig gets the kinks ironed out on the 365 XL, I’m going to buy one.
Yep only reason I went with the 48 over the p365
R. M do you work for Sig? A couple problems? They've changed the firing pin at least three different times. The 365 has had more problems than any other release from a quality manufacturer in recent times.
@@FM-xr5nj so after 3 changes the XL is a refined defensive small gun.
@@FM-xr5nj it's also one of the most innovative designs in recent memory. I'll take some teething issues for actual market innovation
I was very interested in the 365XL but before I purchased one I wanted to rent it and check it out. I was able to rent one at the local gun range with the Romeo Red Dot sight. I shot it, then shot my Glock 48. I have to say for me the Glock was the smoother shooter, had less recoil and was more accurate. After shooting the 365XL I wanted to buy another G48. Sorry just my honest opinion.
You provide some of the best gun reviews on YT. I think the P365 XL matches better in size to the G43x and I would be very interested in learning your thoughts on comparing those two. Thanks again for another well done and informative video!
WoW! He picks the Sig as the overall winner... Great discussion on the pros & cons of both. I own the smaller P365 and of course I wish I would have waited for the XL version, but VERY happy overall with the quality of my firearm, and I may end up having to trade up for that XL, cause just a tad more grip would make it that much more better for me to get that "master grip" that we all try and draw with to have the best chances of actually hitting what we aim for! ✌️
shojus just get the XL frame for around $40. It transforms the base 365. And the shorter barrel is great for appendix if you carry that way.
Love my 365xl . Wasn't a fan of the original . But the xl is a ton of fun to shoot
I have both, and I can't decide which one I like more. Both are amazing. Blue label price for both here in NY is $440.
FIELDING MELISH so you have only 10 rnd mag for the xl?
@@jesseschmigiel5422 the sig 365xl is 12+1
Ahh I see he's in ny
Agreed 365xl is such a good gun. Handles very well.
Thanks for the informative video. I have a shield and was thinking of upgrading to the P365XL as I believe it is thinner and I like the extra capacity. So my question is since you carry a Shield are you switching to one of these pistols as your daily carry and if not why? Thanks again for another great video.
Love my 365 XL with Romeo sight... Best carry gun ever!
Absolutely a great carry gun. I also have one with the Zero Red Dot. Personally, I prefer the CZ P10S for carry but that's mainly because it fits my hands perfectly where the XL is too slim for me.
I have the new P365 w/ manual safety and is not only my first SIG ever, but my new favorite EDC. The safety is just used until it is holstered since the trigger is so nice and smooth. It is a blast to shoot for such a compact pistol. I am adding the flat trigger in the next week or so...400 rds into the pistol with 0 problems. Add the manual safety to the new XL and I will get it as well and rotate this new regular size to my wife for her to enjoy.
SO you say the trigger on your Sig is so nice and smooth and is that why you are changing the Trigger already?????????
I have both glock 48 and sig p365 xl fde. Big difference when it comes to conceal carry. I carried my 48 for a month until I got the sig. the sig p365 xl is very comfortable to conceal. I got the NRA special edition that comes with 2 12rd and 1 15 rd and everything else except the Romeo. I love both of them. But, definitely going towards p365xl for conceal.
Just added the Romeo to my 365 XL last week and have to say it's really nice. My first red dot on a pistol so took few to get use to
Glock 48 is the skinny Glock 19!
Wait... Why do you carry a G17 but keep a G19 on tbt nightstand?
Exactly what I was thinking.
Glock 48 is the way to go 15rd shield arms mags knocks it out of the park.
@@JasonRepullo it is for smaller hands and concealment.
Had a Glock 48. Liked it alot except the trigger. It would make my trigger finger sore . Had friends shooting it and they mentioned the same discomfort, otherwise I liked it alot. Traded it in on a 365xl. The sig is much easier on my trigger finger, conceals better and performs nicely. Holds 12 rounds too.
Have both and my Glock came with the night sites per Glock. I also own the P365 standard and will say I don’t prefer one over the other and that there both top tier companies and the shooting accuracy is about even for me.
Great review sir
I love your review ..straight and detailed to the point..not a whole lot of Jeby jaba
Love the review trying to find a new EDC, it is dated for me. In my own research the G48 has an aftermarket metal magazine with 15round that is flushed. Pairs well with a metal mag release since the stock in plastic one can get chewed up.
I like the 365XL ...
I've been carrying a G48 since they came out in February. Having said that, if I knew about the P365xl back then I would have waited for the SiG. The original P365 shoots more naturally for me personally, so the XL I imagine would be the same if not better. Wasn't a fan of Glock trigger shoes, and in the end spent more on the G48 upgrading it than if I were to get an XL and have it 'perfect' right out of the box. Good review on both.
I feel so very bad for you bro! You should have visited a Fortune Teller before you purchase another gun!
The 365xl has a bigger trigger guard, but the trigger sits much further forward. To me it looks like they have similar space in front of the trigger
You are correct but Glock has bigger room for finger in glove than P365XL. In case of classic P365 they are similar with Glock.
I’m ok with the silver slide on the 43x I bought a 365 and have yet to shoot it but I’m definitely going to get a 43x just like this firearm better.
Nice review
No, a red dot works well on smaller pistols also. As a matter of fact it makes shooting at 10 yards and out much easier because you don’t have a short sight radius. It will be standard practice to make carry guns red dot ready from the factory in a few years.
Nah, red dots are too big for a conceal carry gun. Makes no sense with all the fuss about size.
good video.. would you suggest a good lazer/light combo for xl..
Now that Shield arms has the 15 round flush fit mags for the Glock 43x and the Glock 48 check it out
If only those mags were reliable
@@TheRedduckGaming wait you mean you don’t trust your edc with aftermarket magazines? Even with the metal magazine release needed to make this combo run…same here.
@@awesomedave8484 I trust Magpul mags
@@TheRedduckGaming Glock pmags are absolute dogshit man lol
I know I'm a bit late to the conversation, but as of right now the G48 has a 15rds arm shields magazine, so yes it does have a larger capacity if you are looking for that.
Great review 👍, I HV both std 365 & the XL as well as a G19. I've carried all 3 but the 365XL is by far best & has a thumb safety.
A good comparison is not complete without firing the weapons for reliability and accuracy. For all we know these are just out of the box and for show. Well made video. Not a critique just what I think would round out you vid. Thanks.
Ok, real question... Is there supposed to be that much oil on the p365? Does it not get gummed up and messy when you take it to the range? Seems like it would attract a lot of dust. I was taught to oil it and wipe it off. Not all the way dry but just a thin film. Is it just a subjective thing or have I been doing it wrong?
subjective
Very good video
I was hoping for a back to back shooting shooting comparison filmed.
G48 on bc of thw aftermarket 15 round mag that still makes it flush
All of these early reviews are irrelevant. I just bought my G 48 yesterday and i have 15 round flush magazines for it
15 round mags factory or aftermarket?
Hunt Project Colin noir did a video on just these mags lol blows the competition away
I know this is 2 years late but please guys... go with a red dot and back up irons. Small learning curve but such an advantage.
I'd like to see a shooting review of the XL in .357 Sig. They must have it, or it is coming.
That would be sweet!
You didn't tell us/compare the widths on the guns??????
Nice finish
love the Sig 365XL
wish some after market makes sig mags
I like em all for different reasons.. just don't wanna buy them all.. now I gotta spend x amount of time, trying to decide which to buy lol. Seems like this cycle never ends lol
I'm late to the convo I know my first gun was a p365x macro it was a little bigger than what I thought for EDC plus it is the non-comp version so I bought the 365 XL I absolutely love this gum it is accurate and phenomenal to shoot it feels good in my hand I have shot a 43x and I thought it was a little Snappy but still controllable but now I want to shoot a 48 but I absolutely love my cig 365 XL 720 rounds through it no issues yet
Glock night sights are not polymer...
The p365XL is much closer to the size of the Glock g43x than to the g48, but the p365XL seems like a smarter choice than either of those lower capacity pistols.
For you it's smarter but for me, my G48 is a Perfect Choice for me!
S15 mags for the 43x. Flush fit....
These are great guns for someone who wants a comfortable carry gun and a performer at the range. I have a g26 but at the range or ranch i find myself shooting the g19 more. I love my glocks but i think im going with the p365 on this one the video does not do that trigger justice.
Ummmm they had like 9 problems with the 365 release not just firing pin
I have the sig 365 xl got it like 2 weeks ago, haven't shot it yet.. I choose it over the Glock 43x...I love it just haven't put it too the test..
Intelligent review
Hello there. Ted from Texas here. Thank you for the in-depth review of both those guns my everyday carry is a Springfield Armory XDS oh, but I do occasionally switch off to a Ultra Lite Taurus 85, that's been Magna ported. But lately I've been getting more and more interested in Glocks because of their workmanship of reliability and being just outright Workhorse. Thanks for the review good video see you in the next one.
I've always questioned the red dot on a subcompact.
That sig is dope though comes out the box already bad ass.
I had the g48 and the p365xl on the counter checking them both out mind u i have only owned glock and it was a no brainer i went with the SIG P365XL ! decided to step out of the box. Went and shot it smoking accuracy. Might still go buy the g48 just to have
I just purchased a new Ford but I just might buy a Caddy, just to have one!
I have both and a g43x
The new sig p365 XL 9mm comes with two 12 shot magazines made out of stainless steel black you don't need any pinky grip with this gun the Glock 48 when it first came out it was top of the line the only problem is it's much longer than the regular 43x put the problem is it's only a 10 shot magazine and it's the same old features of water Glocks the thing p365xl is very easy to take down one level and that's it all these Glocks you have to get aftermarket parts to make it easier to take down which is ridiculous and stupid a lot of people got rid of Glocks and went for sick or another brand sick is the best that have been in business since the 1800s in Germany I'm sure they know everything about guns I give them 100% 🇩🇪🇺🇸💯👍
what kind of a fool can't take down a glock or needs a tool?
Man I hate that black slide....never thought I would say that, but I love the silver on the 48.
I had mine Gold Plated!
I would’ve preferred some numbers for the comparison. Little bit, slightly - nothing concrete.
Your nightstand gun should be the bigger gun bro. Lmao
Not really bro! It can be any gun you want it to be, bro!
Like a shotgun
I've got AR on far side of nightstand and a 1911 Sig on the nightstand and then guns placed throughout the house just cos I'm not always in bed
Very comprehensive… I own a Glock 48 and have never felt good about it. I own a Glock 20 SF and I would rather shoot that 10 mm than the 9 mm 48. At a local gun range, they had the 365 XL with the red dot,and I couldn’t believe how comfortable it felt in my hands and because it had the red dot as I’m 68 years old and my Eyes are no “spring chickens” anymore!!! Thank you for such a good review!!
The Glock 48 is a great sidearm. Your opinion does not reflect most.
Did you say "There are a Marriot of other videos" 1:50 ? LOL Like a whole hotel full of other videos? OMG So much better than a "myriad" I guess.
Nobody cares...Clown...
I just don't understand Glock's reasoning for putting the serrated trigger shoe on the 43X/48. You'd think after the 17M/19M in 2016 and on with flat trigger shoes and totally converting their entire lineup over, they'd do the same here. Nope...took a step back to the Gen 4 days. A lot of people, myself included, prefer smooth trigger faces for comfort and accuracy. I just don't get that.
Federal laws!
The Gun Control Act of 1968 says that imported guns must have a sporting purpose and a point system was developed. A total of 75 points for semi autos is required in order for the gun to be imported. They get the import points because the serrated trigger is considered a target trigger. USA Glocks aren't subject to the point system, that's why they have smooth triggers.
@@garybarbatelli1972 Yep I figured that out later. I appreciate it.
I like how the Light-Toned Glocks serial spelled "BLUE", but its not blued dangit
Got me a 43x with factory night sights. Works well for me. Paid $488. I can find the p365 for $499 as well.
Do p36 XL VS Glock 43X
I have a 48 but I might trade it in due to not being able to use a flashlight
Flashlight rails are on the Glock 48 MOS version. Take care.
Thanks. I like Glocks, but the two things I've always hated about them is the serrated slide take down push level and the funky trigger. If you shoot 300 rounds or more (which I do) that trigger just causes callous fingers. I'm not interested in paying more for a trigger replacement. That's probably why I only still have two Glocks left in my stock.
I vote XL 👍
Are you Old enough to Vote?
Steve Katz I vote by mail...it doesn't matter
Ah Hell I Like the Sig More rounds,However Glock has a Longer Barrel more Accurate with longer sight radius ...Can’t make up my Mind Now!!!
no choice there, you will have to get them both. if you do that you will be assured you made the right choice lol
In my opinion 365xl shoots better but i went with 43x bc the s15 mag. More rounds and flush sold it.
Love the flat trigger designs
Great firearms and very reliable. The Sig xl in my opinion is superior. My edc and my nightstand gun , a Browning Auto 12 and on the other side of the bed a Ruger super black hawk .44 mag. Refuse to be a victim.
Yes, I know what you mean and I also have a WW II Flame Thrower under my bed, just in case!
I guess you don't do competition although you've mentioned several times referring to running a red dot.
Even in competition nobody run these with red dot. That will put it into carry optic group to compete with double stack big guns. Running iron sights these will only compete in BUG group against other guns alike. That micro red dot is definitely designed for defensive carry.
The Glock night sights are not polymer.
I love my original P365 with 10+1 and 12 round as back up magazine. When I want to carry a larger gun I go with my Sig P320 X Compact which is a far superior EDC choice over the XL. Better capacity and trigger than the XL also with same night sights and option for Optic if you so choose. I'll stick with my EDC rotation for now P365 in summertime and when special occasions where it may be frowned upon to EDC the rest of the time I don't leave home without either my Sig P320 xcompact or Glock 26. World has gone cuckoo for coco puffs so no matter what your choice, carry everyday because you don't know where, we don't know when but we all know why!!!!
Robert Buchanan tt
Agreed xcompact over the 365xl. The reason the p365 is appealing is because it's has a great size/capacity ratio. It doesnt make sense at this scale.
The slide release on the Glock is garbage IMO. I can't stand those little plastic tabs, they use the same crap on the Taurus G3 and the S&W SD40VE, and SD9VE...
American the takedown tabs are steel.
I grip and release the slide ots a habit dont even used the slide lock
Your opinion of red dots on handguns is very dated....
If glock could slim up their slides I would probably buy one.
Slim up their slides? Lol. The P365 series is like an inch. It's 9mm, dude.
@@SonOfTheDawn515 P365XL is less like a brick, the slide is slimmer and more trimmed than a glock.
Sig and glock are Burger King and mcdonalsap. Both are going to satisfy your hunger just in different flavors. I chose the glock over sig because of the rumors that sig had reliability issues but also because the 365 abe xl seem like dedicated edc guns that are designed around comfort where the glock 48 seems to be a little more well rounde for say a nightstand gun as well. It's unfortunate that there is no room for upgrades like a rds or most weapon lights.
The 48 is my first glock after years of not owning one due to inconcealability and ergonomics. The 19 was just too bricky for carry and blocky in the hand for my taste. The 48 really hits that sweet spot so after handling one at a pawn shop I decided I didn't hate it but did love its celebrsted simplicity reliability and popularity, so I bought one with ameriglos for $540. I narrowly missed buying a sig, but an xcompact instead of 365. This was back in april so I was happy to find it.
I'm still romancing it. I've got maybe 300 rounds through it, but carry it about every day comfortably. Its weight is nice but its profile is nicer. It feels ever so slightly anemic in the hand when pressurizing the grip to pull the trigger but I got used to it already. More importantly, it feels good to shoot at the range. That's a big one because who is going to want toget ckmot0etent with a gun they dislike shooting?
Buy both.
I bought 5 G48's so I can have one in every room of my house! I just might buy the Sig as my Toilet Gun!
Glock night sights are steel not polymer. Just fyi
Sig xl all day long!!!
What about on a rainy day or even a snow storm?
Glock
Unfortunately according to some other channels reviews the P365XL is having some issues.
Great comparison and review.
Whats goin on with it?
I had a 365 XL for about a week. About 60 rounds through it and had 3 to fail to go into battery. I cleaned it before firing it and also after the first failure. I liked the gun, it feels great but I could not trust it for EDC. Maybe I got a lemon. I may look at them down the road.
Zero issues with my P356 XL when I owned it. Fired 200 rounds without any issues then brought it home and stripped it. When I removed the firing pin a small, circular piece of black plastic fell out. Saw some videos of others who had the same occurrence with their 365 XL. Confidence with it is gone so I bought another Glock; a black 48. The trigger on the 365 XL is nice though.
You need to rethink the way you see the 48 when you compare it to other models “single stack Glock 45”? Wtf it’s a single stack 19.
Dude said the Glock night sights are polymer… 😂 I get better prices for Glock with blue label dealers, better than Sig APP prices.
Glock 48 for me.
I turned it off once you said red dots are for competition or home defense.
R. M listen fuckbag anyone that uses blatant generalizations and is so out of touch with the current gun market as to say RDS are for competition, doesn’t deserve to be taken seriously. Sorry my comment offended your pussy ass bitch feelings. Get COVID
Scott Amaral you just told some random dude on the internet to get covid 😂😂😂. I think you may be the one with the pussy ass bitch feelings.
Primer drag on P365 has not been fixed.
There's no primer drag on the XL versions
Glock 48 wins for me
Glock night sights are NOT polymer....
Glock all day long
48 with S15 bro
I love how the sig feels but since I can't trust it with my life, it makes the sig as good as a hi point... JUNK. So Glock till the day I die 😆
The Los I have the original P365 with over +4000 rounds. Not one hiccup. I understand why fans of Glock defend them. But the P365 is the best micro compact ccw pistol on the planet and until Glock comes with something that actually competes with the P365. I Sig is where it’s at. Even the Glock 26 which is a great gun the P365 is a slimmer handgun easier to conceal.
@@robertbuchanan562 so the g43x doesn't compete with the p365? Yes the 365 feels better but you can't hide the fact that sig keeps having recalls. You might be one of the lucky ones that came out good. Glock doesn't have those reliability problems
@@thelos8093I've seen the 1st generation had .001 had problems with the striker pin breaking other than that I havent seen any recalls? I do have the so called 2nd generation where they beefed up the striker pin so that could be a factor. I will admit I'm kind of intrigued by the 43X now that they have a flat faced plate 15 round magazine.
I bought my first glock this week ive been law enforcement ccw instructor and I could always out shoot all my rich students with the over priced glock and sig o yea with cheap Taurus pt111 so to be continued next ill buy a sig next ill be the best shooter in the world
New Sigs always seem to have issues and problems. I hated my P938. It was totally unreliable even after Sig worked on it.
Why does the Glock have to be so ugly
Bro the stippling on the XL is not a light texture lol. My XL literally has skin from my hand imbedded into the stippling in multiple places🤣 definitely feels like sandpaper. Also, imo the XL trigger is garbage compared to a Glock. Maybe I’ve got a bad one but I absolutely hate it
I find it's the other way around.
Am I first?
I think Glock is completely detached from the marketplace. None of their new guns make any sense.
Why get a 365xl
The 365 is the Best by far
If you want more capacity go with the P320XCompact the Best concealed carry pistol so far
One thing I would like people to take away from this video, is that when the P3 65 trigger is forward even though it is flat and should give you more room for a glove, it’s a tiny space. For someone who lives in the winter zones it’s a big loser
It's not "tiny" and there is plenty of room for a gloved hand. Why would anyone buy a single stack Glock that's the same size as a G19? Now that's a big loser.
@@frankhamp1396 its not the same size. Its thinner.
@@AgustinMolini the grip is thinner. The slide is exactly the same in both width and length.
Frank Hamp not true. The G48 slide is the same length as the G19, but it’s about 1/3 thinner.
@@darthvaydr I was wrong. The G48 is thinner but not 1/3 thinner. The G19=1.26 inches and G48=1.1 inches. That doesn't equate to 1/3 thinner. Still no comparison to the ground breaking P365 line from Sig.
Glock sucks
