I’ve seen a lot of people do that, I’ve owned and shot both and I have to say I like the XL better than the original P365 Softer feeling recoil and shoots flatter.
Biggest surprise with the XL is how smooth shooting it is. I was expecting snap but it’s not snappy at all. Feels excellent in the hands with my medium size hands. Extremely pleased with it.
Sig P365XL all day....I’ve carried mine for a year now and shot several hundred rounds through it. I’ve shot it side by side with the Glock 48 and 43x and I love the Sig P365XL way better.
Glock can go to hell. I supported Glock for awhile, but since they want to keep disrespecting their customers by putting garbage plastic sights on them, then Glock doesn’t have the right to be compared. Glock needs to catch up with the times and at the very least put metal sights on. With the prices Glock charges, it’s insulting . I’ll pay more for a dog anyday, sig innovates and puts night sights on. The Xl is a beast,
Sig XL is the best carry gun out there. Love mine. So accurate and easy to carry. Can sit, bend over, anything you want and can’t feel it hardly. Just need the right holster. Awesome gun!!

I chose the sig p365 XL over the Glock 48 because you get 12 rounds and the sig made 15 magazine is a must. The Glock 48 has a 15 magazine it’s just made by a third party company from what I hear so over all the sig p365 XL is a better choice
+Redmist 2004 thank you for watching and taking the time to comment. As you can see by my videos I own both and in my opinion, you can’t go wrong with either pistol. I also own two Shield Arms S-15 mags for the Glock 48 which makes it an awesome carry pistol for me. All personal preference really. The right choice is the pistol that has the highest capacity, that fits your hand the best, that you shoot the best and is comfortable for you to carry all day. Cheers!
I have a brand new G43x and P365 with thumb safety. I have a Vedder Magtuck magazine holder for the G43x and it fits perfectly with the P365 oem magazines (10,12 and 15 rounds! )
For many years I was a die hard S&W M&P line fan. Of all the M&P's I own and use in training I have never experienced a malfunction. I traded two M&P Bodyguard's in on 1 Sig Saur P365 XL. I did extensive research on the P365 XL prior to purchase, on the internet, and rented one at the gun range. I think the Sig is more comfortable to carry every day than say the M&P 380 EZ and I carry 4 additional rounds.
I shot the X alongside the Glock 48 (the XL was unavailable due to maintenance) and enjoyed them both, but I'm mostly torn between the X and XL for an EDC. I've heard that the shorter barrel on the X makes it more concealable, but I've also heard some say that the longer barrel on the XL can actually help concealment due to evening out the weight distribution of the gun (the increased accuracy and recoil management are also added bonuses). I am 5'2" and 105 - 110 lbs and plan to carry strong-side/appendix, and I have decided against the original P365 in 9mm (although the .380 version is lovely) because the recoil of 9mm is too harsh for its small size. Which do you think would be the better multi-purpose EDC?
It’s all personal preference, but remember the part of the gun that is most difficult to conceal is the grip and not the slide. I shoot the XL much better than any of the regular 365 variants. If you had a regular 365 on the table alongside the XL and you asked me to pick one? It would be the XL all day long. Thank you very much for stopping by.
Thanks for the comparison on the 43x & the xl I think your the first one to do this, I've been waiting for someone to match these two up. I knew these two are closets to size. Everyone's showing the 48 against the xl.
Yes, it’s very close to the 43x. I am more accurate with the XL, but, some reliability issues have begun to pop up... Time will tell. Thanks for watching - I appreciate it!
you should watch harry's holsters review of 1000 rd burn down, it is an accelerated use of the firearm but it dose bring up problems. Where as the 43x had non in less time then the xl.
Looks like the XL solidly edges out the 43X standard on +2 capacity and a slightly more compact grip... But now that Shield has released their all metal, flush-fit, 15-rd mags for the 43X, the 43X trounces the Sig on capacity in the standard size.
+Markus Childers - still waiting for Shield Arms to release the mag. If it proves to be reliable, it will be very interesting indeed. Thanks for watching.

The main difference is that you can hold 12+1 rounds and it gives you a little bit more real estate to grab the grip. I don’t see any problems whatsoever concealing this pistol with the XL grip module. Now you can purchase the P365X which has the regular slide with the XL grip module and it is cut for a red dot. A good comparison UNLESS you compare the reliability of the Sigs to the Glocks. Then things start to change when running 5-6 or a thousand rds. or so thru each pistol.
I had a p three-sixty-five and have shot the XL. Now I have the Glock forty-three X. I think the forty-three X has less felt recoil than both. What do you think? Either way the lock is more reliable in my opinion, what do you think?

Thanks for the video. There's on point of confusion however. Your P365 is not stock. It has what appears to be the Xgrip from a 365XL on it and either a grip cover or custom stipling on it. How did you get the Xgrip and what is that grip treatment?
I have seen some reports of malfunctions. However, the ones that I have seen have been during 1,000 or more round burn downs getting the gun extremely hot. Is that a fair and realistic test? I’d like to know what people that are more knowledgeable than me in this matter think. Thanks for watching - I appreciate it.
+club3966 deerhunter so I have the regular P365 with the XL grip module and 12 round flush fit mag and the Glock 48 with the S-15 mag. Very happy with both.
+Rob Laydawood in my opinion it is the balance which it is very nice in the G43x. Its geometry with the shorter slide and longer grip works similarly to the G19x which many people claim it to be their best shooting Glock. Having said that, I shoot my G48 and Regular P365 better than the G43x. I’m always shooting low and left with the G43x and I don’t do that with any other pistol.
@@MDpolo I'm so torn between 365XL & 48. I'd get the XL but if I get an optic, what good is a rear sight that can't be seen in the dark? That's the only reason I'm reluctant to get a XL. That being said the 48 apparently takes longer to get back on target for follow up rounds. It's dilemma that's got me wanting a 48 more. I can cut the slide to place a red dot in from of rear iron sight but I have no option for a rear night sight with optic on XL.
Have you shot them? If not, that’s the first thing that I would do. Go rent the 43x, 48 and 365xl and see which you like best. I believe that you are overthinking this. I don’t have a red dot on any of my carry or home defense pistols. Just my preference.
Hello. I’m not sure what you mean. It’s been a while since I looked at that video, but if I recall correctly , somewhere around the middle of the video I compared it physically to a P365, a Glock 43X and a Glock 48.
Glock lost the subcompact market to SIG, period. The 43X is nothing more than a subcompact with a longer grip, not to mention that the slide on the 43X is gritty. As for the 48, i'll take the G 19 over the G48 all day long. The SIG 320, i don't like the high slide on the gun. That's my opinion. If the gun does not feel good in your hand you will not be able to use it to it's full capacity. Hand size is very important when buying a handgun. Personally , i think the CZ p10 blows the 48 Glock out of the water . It has a bigger slide rail, stronger extractor, better the grip and the guide rode is bigger and stronger,
MrTspeeds07 if all ammunition is removed and no rounds are ejected or fed into the gun and that is checked. The gun is safety checked and clear. Lol so literal.
Sorry, but there is NO comparison of a Sig to a Glock. Especially regarding quality of product. Sorry Glock fanatics, but they are the ak47 of handguns. Yeah they work great, but they are cheap and that's what makes them so popular. I bought my wife a G43x because she shoots it well. Would I trust a Glock with my life.....yes. Would I buy one for the ergonomics and amazing design ideas? Absolutely not!!
@@MDpolo both...you cant make a labor/material intensive product and still be inexpensive. It's not a bad thing. But there's no innovation. They are like the iPhones of guns. Each gen has something "great" that someone else had before. But people looooove Glock.
I hear you. However, for me, its not because it’s a Glock. It’s comparing it to another popular pistol of similar size and capacity. I looked for other manufacturers, but as far as size, capacity and what people are buying - Glock was the right comparison. Thank you for taking the time to watch and comment. I appreciate it. Cheers!
@JusticeAA that's what you say. I say they suck and they are not any more dependable than a Walther, SIG, S&W, so on and so forth. You're a fanboy so they're the best thing since sliced bread. I don't agree . You can think anything you want but they suck in my humble opinion.

Thanks for your video, just subbed!!👍
You’re welcome. Thank you very much for watching and for subscribing. I do appreciate it!
@@MDpolo almost forgot to give you a thumbs up, doing it now!!!
Thank you My - really appreciate it. Just posted a video on the new IWI Masada.
Unfortunately I have seen a few other uploads on the 365xl. There have been a number of them with malfunctions on the 365xl.
I don’t remember seeing any P365XLs with issues. The first P365 did but not the XL
Just subbed, thanks for sharing!!! 🦅🇺🇸🦅🇺🇸
Thank you. I appreciate it very much!
I don't think that the xl can compete with s15 in a 43x. But the standard 365 is very hard to beat for its size
+club3966 deerhunter so I have the regular P365 with the XL grip module and 12 round flush fit mag and the Glock 48 with the S-15 mag. Very happy with both.
@@MDpolo what is the advantage of a 43X? I see no benefit. Between the XL & the 48 which one has less recoil and which is more accurate?
Does the gun fire reliably with the 365 XL frame and the 365 slide and barrel?
I did not fire it in that configuration. But testing it for function, everything worked as it should. Thanks for watching. I appreciate it!
@@MDpolo it works fine...you can buy 365 frames and put on 365xl...
Thank you for sharing.
Sweet comparisons!
Thank you and thank you for watching. I appreciate it very much!
Is the rail proprietary to sig accessories?
Yes. Proprietary rail on all P365s.
Awesome watch! Perhaps you should consider some watch videos as well!
Thank you very much Michael and thanks for watching. I appreciate it.
No mention of a g43x anywhere?
Hello. I’m not sure what you mean. It’s been a while since I looked at that video, but if I recall correctly , somewhere around the middle of the video I compared it physically to a P365, a Glock 43X and a Glock 48.
@@MDpolo yes I found it. Thank you.
You are very welcome. Thank you for watching!
Great review 👍 and comparison. If you could only have one ☝️, would you choose 365 or the XL?
I shoot the XL better. Thanks for watching!
Shouldn't even be a question; XL.
Would get the xl but decided to buy the Walther pps-m2 le edition
That’s a good pistol as well. Congratulations.
It has a bigger slide rail, stronger extractor, better the grip and the guide rode is bigger and stronger,
I agree. Thanks for watching. I appreciate it!
steve MITCHELL The Glock 43 still outsells the 365.
“The gun is unloaded, and safety checked” racks slide with mag in gun.
Yup. It happens. I check all guns several times prior to filming. Thanks for watching.
MrTspeeds07 if all ammunition is removed and no rounds are ejected or fed into the gun and that is checked. The gun is safety checked and clear. Lol so literal.
finger off the trigger when racking the slide please.
Yes, thank you. As I said, all guns were safety checked several times prior to filming the video.
Are you saying that Glocks are cheaply made or inexpensive? Thanks for watching.
@@MDpolo both...you cant make a labor/material intensive product and still be inexpensive. It's not a bad thing. But there's no innovation. They are like the iPhones of guns. Each gen has something "great" that someone else had before. But people looooove Glock.
I can agree with that.
Are you free mason?
I appreciate your question but respectfully I do not discuss my private life on UA-cam. Thank you for watching!
MDpolo Gun Channel no problemo, great content thank you.
Planked so.... yes!
what are you lining up ??????? don't you want to show which slide is longer ??? bad video sorry
Thank you for watching.
Can't anyone on UA-cam do a video without dragging a glock into it ????
Answer : NO WAY !!
Glock 43 looks ugly
