On my google review I saw that 3,500+ people saw that review. That review effected the owner business so much that he had to make custom contact him from a different number. No one cares about a marvellous "customer experience" but they do care about the quality of the goods and the professionalism of the workers. We usually double check the ticket when this happens to verify. If they're calm and civil about it then we don't mind replacing their order. But if they make a big stink like this and/or have already eaten most of their food, then we just assume they're looking for an excuse to walk out on their bill so we just ban them from the restaurant. Better to lose one customer than to have them keep coming back and potentially bothering other customers

I had a customer try to stick his credit card in the coin and bill slots at the self checkout and when I told him that he had to use the card reader to pay he said "this is ridiculous." It'll be funny when cashiers are completely replaced by robots and these idiots have no help anymore. Almost worth being unemployed to see it.
I ran a wee snack bar in a fairly tough biker bar that also had regular people come cos of the free live music they had. One night a smart ar$e guy came up with his empty plate and says it was the worst food he'd ever eaten. I don't have time for that nonsense so just said fine, l'll give you a refund but, next time come up BEFORE you finish eating it. He starts to make a big deal out of it demanding l make another one etc. Next thing huge biker dude arrives at the counter, says he was at the table next to AHoles table, that he'd watched him absolutely scarfing his food and that he needed to pay up, shut up and leave instead of being such a pr!ck trying to scam free food. I swear l could have kissed the dude - he wouldn't even take the free meal l offered him. The panic on AHoles face still makes me chuckle every time l think about it even 30 years later. 😂
As a small business owner for over 25 years my best advise to others new in business. Don’t be afraid to fire that pain in the butt customers. They’re the ones that suck up 90% of your time and resources to add only 5% to your business. It will make you happier and your life better.
I think the only time I’ve remotely acted like this was when there were literal large metal shavings in my food. And even then I wasn’t rude about it 😂
Always fun when customers use what usually are empty threats just to get their way. Especially when they actually don't have an issue with whatever it is, they just want it free. Yeah, that happens. And if you want your employees to bend over backwards to make the customers happy, then you better be paying them enough to do just that.

Yes we were often a little bit slow and still working on fixing things, but she was often there when we had an unexpected Rush. This was during the pandemic so these rashes were really unexpected. She would complain to me who worked the drive-through about being late for work ever food got out too much. She said if it happened one more time then she wasn't going to come back. The next time she was there it was a truck in front of her with a large order. When she got to the window she said, " What did they do order the entire store?!" "Yea. It was a large order." She paid for her food and when she got it she said, "I am never coming back ever again." I thought to my self, "Okay. Glad I won't have to see you again." Never saw her again.

I’ve done it to dealerships where they seemed like they were discriminating me and refusing to run my credit. I leave, Two weeks later they send an email, I read it and don’t reply and forward it to junk. My husband always says “show it with action don’t just say” He’s right, people tend to listen more this way. 😂

Found out that my grandparents internet and phone provider were ripping them off at over 4x the standard rate. I signed them up with a new provider at a reasonable rate and will never use that old one, neither will my friends or family. Businesses that con the elderly are the worst. That's what losing a customer means, you don't just lose one person but lose their friends and family too.

I've had this conversation with a customer who felt the need to harass me for my hair. She believed that more people would stop shopping at our store because i had a hairstyle she did not like. This was after she spent the last 2 minutes trying her best to insult me with leading questions about my own self-esteem. Which is beyond wild for someone with crinkly fake tanned skin and bleach blonde hair fraying at the tips. Her reasoning was that "enough people would stop shopping here that I'd have to chop my hair, lose my job, or the store would shut down and it'd be my fault that our town lost a grocery outlet." I cannot for the life of me understand how these older generations believe that people think this way. I just cant. 😂 Meanwhile, my boss caught wind of this days later and asked me to tell him to confront her next time if she has the gall to try again.
