This was shot in Memphis,TN on a ride that now resides in Green Bay, WI. It was built in Memphis in 1923 and sold just a couple of years ago.

RockinRickHale...Actually, The Zippin Pippin (or Pippin, as it was known back then) was built in 1912, not 1923.
This is what Wikipedia says about when it was built.
“The Zippin Pippin is one of the oldest existing wooden roller coasters in the United States. It was initially constructed in the former East End Park in Memphis, Tennessee, in either 1912, 1915, or 1917 by John A. Miller and Harry C. Baker of National Amusement Devices. The construction material was pine wood. As the park declined in popularity, the coaster was dismantled and relocated adjacent to the horse track in Montgomery Park, later known as the Mid-South Fairgrounds.”

8 years later.....miss it sooooo much. We grew up in Oxford, Ms. Weren't poor, but certainly not rich. This was the only amusement park I ever went to for the first 18 years of my life.
The nostalgia is nuts. Miss the log ride, too.

Cameraman thank you for your footage this place simply don't exist no more without footage like this I can never show my children of the fun I used to have living in Memphis and how much the world has changed today this video as if I jumped in a time machine and went back to being a ten-year-old kid in Memphis having as much fun as I could

I was born in 1996, and I remember going to liberty land all the time as a child before it closed down. I remember seeing the Zippin Pippin to the left when you entered the fair grounds, and I always thought it looked ancient lol. Didn’t know until much later that it was nearly 100 years old. It as built in 1923.

Thanks for the memories, from someone that can remember the ride when it was simply the Pippin and it resided at a place simply called the Fairgrounds, a place where the old mill helped to cool a person off on a hot muggy day. I care not what others say I say we had the best of times as kids there.

Oh wow!! I am sooooo glad someone filmed this and kept it! AMAZING. Very much nostalgic. The good ol' wooden Zippin Pippin. Liberty Land was so small in hindsight but it was amazing for my childhood! So glad I knew that version of Memphis. There were 2 roller coasters in Liberty Land. The other was called the Revolution. Great memories!

I remember riding on this rollercoaster in 1969 , I was than 12 years old and my class went on a school outing . We went from Greenville Mississippi to Memphis , just to go to libertyLand . What a day that was , I was in the 7th grade and was just learning what girls were made for . The good old days and I had to wait another year before I had the chance to kiss a girl . Like I said , the good old days and what a ride . I mean the rollercoaster and the girl .

well now we have the massive Bass Pro Shops in the Pyramid, Mud Island River Park, Beale Street Landing, lots of parks, plenty of museums like Brooks, Dixon Gallery, shopping malls, Grizzlies and Tiger basketball, Tiger football. Plus any given weekend there are tons of concerts and other shows at various venues around town.
If you ever need to know what's happening around town a great resource is www.ilovememphisblog.com/

OK then. Not quite sure why you wouldn't just SAY what you mean, as if it is somehow more "acceptable" when you don't actually say it. Are you ashamed of your opinions or something? The "ghettoness" of Memphis is a result of the general nastiness of the people of Tennessee, and I know this because I was born and raised there, and luckily got the hell out. Every time I have to go there for something, I'm reminded of just how awful the place was, because it has somehow become even worse. Your comment is a case in point.
