0:49 Please disregard the '2 inversions.' This was copied and pasted from another review and somehow I missed it. So while it certainly would be crazy if Zippin Pippin did go upside down, it is not true.
Imagine if Zippin Pippin had an Outlaw Run finale! In all seriousness, it’s not a big deal. I make typos from copying text on my videos all the time.
"Come ride Zippin Pippin for the hangtime hell rolls! You won't see 'em coming!"
Hey we are all human and we make mistakes sometimes. I mean, nobody is perfect and it is good that you own up to your mistakes and call them out when you make them. It makes you an honest content creator and that is ALWAYS a good thing!!!!!!
This thing wasn't even on my radar til last year and turned out to be one of the best things ever
T H E E J E C T O R D E A T H H I L L
It was the EJECTOR DEATH HILL that won you and Taylor over!
my first coaster
You guys should do a video together where you talk about This Is How We Roll. That would be awesome. Also I wanna experience the ejector death hill lol
Chris, if you had trademarked the term "ejector death hill", Taylor would owe you some money.
You have no idea how happy I am that there's another coaster review
Zippin Pippin, an awesome woodie: $1
Mine Blower, an unbearably rough ride: $10
I think we all know the winner here!
yea but mine blower is a way better overall ride, and it's a florida attraction lol - nothing's going to be cheap there.
It’s rough, but it’s still easily one of the best in Florida imo. My favorite woodie personally
Calling mine blower unbearably rough is the definition of entitled enthusiast
@@crudkip4326 for purposes of the comment to work, I had to go to extremes for a comparison. It’s rough, but mostly tolerable.
Airtime Thrills: “Ejector Death Hill”
The fact that Elvis died in 1977 and this replica is the only coaster in my top 25 that old, I’d say it definitely makes sense that it’s his #1. He didn’t have options to ride Fury 325 or Steel Vengeance
I think Gravity Group are actually sneaky geniuses. I fully believe they did "the hill" on purpose because they knew they ride was weak. Documentation on the original Zippin is hard to come by, but from what I know that hill was NOTHING like that before the relocation. So, thanks Gravity Group! Literal GG to you!
It was and wasn't. I dont think it was quite that much of a catch air moment. But you caught some kind of air. And the way the car and lap bar was designed the bar had like 4" of travel so you would pop up and almost feel like you were about to fly out or be thrown from the coaster. Especially if you were young and near the minimum ride hight of 48"
I don't think the ride is weak, there's a lot of floater and for me that drop still gives me that stomach dropping feeling.
I rode this in 2020, and I generally agree with your review, however IMO the floater drops are actually quite good on their own, and above average compared to most other out and back woodies I can think of. The ejector hill is still the highlight ofc.
Cool to see this ride getting more coverage from channels like you as it definitely deserves it.
Airtime thrills laid the groundwork, this is just building it up!
I was in the discord Q&A last night. I was the one who asked what the most difficult interview was. Thank you so much for doing it. Iv been a fan for years and always actually wanted to talk to you. Thanks for everything you do I hope for more of those in the future! Keep up the great work!
I was there too! Tons of fun. Except for the trolls, screw them
As a Memphian, I really miss this one. It was here until 2005.. Memphians still mourn it.
I could honestly easily imagine a coaster parody about this
I've yet to do Zippin' Pippin', but from when Airtime Thrills was raving on about it from last year, I've felt the rest of the ride looked okay. I like floater airtime as much as the next guy, especially on woodies, but It needs more than just airtime - e.g laterals with CCI - to have an actual impression on me.
That death hill looks nuts, I think it's one of 2 reasons it's profiled like it is: either Martin and Vlemicx being idiots but it working out (unlike boardwalk bullet when it first opened), or as the rest of the hill is normally profiled, and it's only the first half the crest with the insane forces, that the pathway underneath needed the right clearence, and that was the park's way of fitting the path underneath. Either way I doubt anyone minds.
The Zippin Pippin is a good start for new people to roller coasters
Honestly I was waiting all trip just to ride behind you to see your reaction to THE HILL. It did not disappoint. 😈
Also, those on-ride sequences look great! 😉
Elvis died in the 1977. Back then, this may indeed have been one of the best coasters out there. That one hill had to have been the best airtime element on any coaster at the time.
Supposedly the original zippin pippin did not have that ejector hill
Great Video my Friend. I rode in the back on this ride, and it was awesome. Such a great coaster!
I actually have a few pieces of the original Zippin Pippin because my uncle is a fairly well known figure in the Memphis Area! I have a piece of wood from the original train, and a peice of the track that is still attached to the wood! It's very very heavy too!
Aweosme review! I have ridden this thing too many times to count and the final ejector hill feels as strong as the first time I rode it… it feels like one of the Magnum hills
Considering it's been a minute since your past frequent coaster reviews,I can gladly say I love what's new, and I enjoy how you kept the older style. 12/10
This is the real "King" of coasters. Or at least, the original one in Memphis was.
At least this was the king of coasters for Elvis!
I just rode Zippin Pippin 3 times. Once in the back, once in the middle and once in the front. And it was by far my all-time favorite attraction from my visit to Bay Beach.
The Gravity Group really did a great job with the rebuild, following the original John Miller design almost to the letter.
The ejector death hill was an excellent touch. Also, those that said you get more airtime riding in the back row were right.
All in all, (and again), best attraction in the park.
When this was in Memphis, we didn't have seatbelts or that new kind of lap bar. We had the ancient pull down single bar with about 4" of travel in the bar from the locked position. So you ALWAYS felt like you were going to fly out of the ride on 80% of its hills.
"Its fine and all...I think there are better rides out there" I know! Elvis didn't prefer El Toro or Steel Vengeance?? So weird
LOL Also glad to see reviews are coming back :D
My home coaster! I try to ride it every summer. Never gets old...
Thank you for taking your time to come to Bay Beach
I sadly haven't been there in a long time, life ya know, but I rode this coaster when it first opened 6 times, and I loved it, it packs just the right punch, a perfect beginners coaster with awesome air time. My first coasters at 12 years old were at Great America in Illinois, and they were way too extreme for some of them like American Eagle and Batman, this is perfect for kids and beginner adults a like, and I found quite a few coaster enthusiasts love this ride as well.
The coaster idiots went to Bay Beach as well and they loved the entire park, partly because it's cheap, but they loved the carnival feeling to it and the view of Green Bay. It's an underrated park that I miss dearly.
I'm 33 now, and like I said, life came fast, haven't found a reason to go back since it opened :(
Loved Zippin Pippin. First rode it back in 2018 and wasn't expecting much and man it blew me away. That one airtime hill was incredible. We did Little Amerika and Mt. Olympus on the same day as when we did Bay Beach.
I think that's what I am going to do too. I've been neglecting all of them because if the limited lineups and distance (Great America is way closer).
Fantastic coaster!
4:45 Did you just say yeeted? I'm proud of you 👏
I miss this roller coaster. Rode it all the time in my hometown Memphis…
Thanks for the honest review, it's definitely a bucket list Coaster for me, but at least now I won't be letdown like I was after riding Time Travler at SDC.
That one moment looks the most fun
No wonder this was The King’s Favorite Roller Coaster!
I lived in Appleton for 2 years, and would always drop by for a few rides whenever I was in the area. ZP is a great ride considering it’s location. My first ride on it, the ejector death hill caught me by complete surprise. I actually couldn’t believe what had just happened.
Quick question, what months is it open
May through September
When it comes to the Zippin Pippin I might be a little biased because it was my first roller coaster that I ever ridden when it was at LibertyLand,I’m glad someone bought it and didn’t leave it to rot,I haven’t ridden it since LibertyLand closed in 05 but I would love to ride it again.
Airtime thrills called it the ejector death Hill which is where it got its name from
One of the people at gravity group who was at no coaster con said that the ejector death hill probably isn't supposed to be there and it was actually an accident which is kinda funny
it is literally the best thing in the world
A Review!!!! This is shaping up to be a great day
Your editing in reviews has improved so much over the years.
Tomorrow I will ask my family if we can rent “This is How We Roll” so we can watch it this weekend. The trailer is so fascinating and the animation outro is one of my favourite songs.
2:07 DEATH EJECTOR AIRTIME HILL!
Good to see another review! Plz keep the reviews coming:)
I have family in the area and I love going to bay beach- it's honestly about 2 hours worth of park max but it's cute. My 65 year old grandpa went on zippin pippin and that was a time LMAO! They have an insane fun slide and a cute kiddie train too. I'm short so I can make it on :)
Now that's what I call ejector!
Also the first big(ish) roller coaster I rode was also a wooden one called zipper dipper!
Zippin Pippin is the best coaster in Wisconsin! Yes, it IS better than Hades 360.
It looks a decent bit better than Hades honestly. If I prefer Cyclops to Hades, I cannot wait for this thing
Great coaster hardest rocks tho
Best maintained wooden coaster in Wisconsin... Besides Little Amerricka
It was your original video over the summer that made me alter my original plans and include Bay Beach to check ZP out. Best 3 bucks I've spent. Plus they let you record on ride.
1:50 - unfortunately steel vengeance did not exist in the 1970s
Riding Zippin Pippin then going to a Packers game… ultimate Green Bay experience
I love Elvis, and this ride.
We need a coaster parody of this
The death ejector hill at the end is awesome.
I love the name ❤️ zippin pippin🤣🙌
You need to read up on the history of the ride and Libertyland where it was in Memphis.
Taylor: “It’s in the middle of nowhere”
Packers fans: smh 🤦♂️
Also Rodgers 100000% owns the bears
@bennett veith he's not wrong though. Green Bay is in the middle of nowhere. It's famous for ZP and Die Hard Football Fans but neither changes it's location.
I got my husband (who dislikes coasters) on this several years ago, thinking there wouldn’t be any ejector, and boy was I wrong with that last moment 🙈😂
This could be a roller coaster for starters
Actually, if you work at an amusement park you can pretty much come in and uniform and get changed into civis. Then you can ride as much as you want and you’ll get payed for it.
“You are gonna get YEETED out of your seat”. Taylor just coined a new phrase
Would you rather ride Phoenix, twister, and impulse once or this ten times?
Zippin pippin has 2 inversions you forgot to mention 😂 Still an awesome video
This is technically my home park but my main home park is sfgam. This is pretty like viper with hints of Goliath-like steep drops and whatnot, underrated but it is a lone wolf so i guess it deserves to be underrated a little
I forgot to remove my cell phone from my shirt pocket and that ejector hill sent it flying. No more cellphone. It was in pieces under the track.
Airtime Thrills, this video is for you^^
DEATH EJECTOR AIRTIME HILL!
Cool didnt know this one had inversions!! :P 0:06 i guess the backflips of joy after riding this counts ? :)
0:49 Please disregard the '2 inversions.' This was copied and pasted from another review and somehow I missed it. So while it would certainly be crazy if Zippin Pippin did go upside down, it is not true.
@@CoasterStudios no problem at all I were just imagining in my head if someone somehow managed to install zacspin trains on this during the “triangle airtime hill” 🥳
THAT HILL
Went on it back in 2014
Elvis Presley died in 1977 so it's a pretty good guess that this was one of (if not) the best coaster at the time.
1:50 I mean, he died in 1977 and he probably wasn’t traveling around the world riding his roller coasters so from 1977 standards this could’ve been the best roller coaster in the world.
So you can either ride this awesome coaster 10 times or ride the Manhattan express for the same price. I think the choice is clear. We’re going to Vegas baby
whooooo another review
ElToroRyan just put up a video and he's wearing a Zippin Pippin shirt then this shows up in my feed almost like a response to the hype.
8.5 sounds a bit high for a ride with one stand out element though.
1 buck? awesome! unlike coasters like the one at the New York New York hotel in Las Vegas that almost cost the half the price of some actual full fledged amusement park tickets!!😬🤦♀️
Brace myself every time for that final ejection.
I personally know someone who was in a car accident. I think that person would have PTCD on that hill
I wonder if the original coaster that Elvis went on had that air time hill?🤔
i love how every enthusiast calls it an ejector death hill
Man if New York State had a cedar fair park..... that would be so cool, I even have coasters planned if that happened, so coaster studios would you visit it if it happened
So…99% of this ride was made in no limits and 1% was made in rct3 (that 1% being the ejector death hill)
Seems legit…
If there weren’t any restraints you would be on your way to the international space station.
What are some of the other coasters that are gonna get reviewed? Because I saw you were re-reviewing coasters from older videos. I’d like to see a re review of Skyrush
I have a few in mind! Mainly old reviews of notable rides from 2015 or earlier
I would have rather spent my time at Bay beach instead of splitting my time between this and mount Olympus.
can we pleaaase get a renegade review?
There will be one, don’t worry :)
re review raging bull pls
Same ranking as phoenix?!!
WE
WANT
PARODIES
The last one was 1.5 years ago. (I believe it was West Coast Racers)
@@coasterhockygamingboy9549 that’s right
Are you going to review comet at great escape?
It’s on the to do list
so basically. 97% of the ride is Zippin... but watch out for Pippen
how does this have 2 inversions?
0:49 Please disregard the '2 inversions.' This was copied and pasted from another review and somehow I missed it. So while it would certainly be crazy if Zippin Pippin did go upside down, it is not true.
@@CoasterStudios i was like did the theory’s of mystic timbers shed come true but on zippin pippin lol
I would like to see a list of extreme airtime moments on not extreme coasters. The only rides I can think of with moments like that are this, Jack rabbit, Thunderbolt, and Classic Coaster
Day 38 of seeing how long it takes for Taylor to respond to this comment
Why is this park so so so cheap.
It's literally a city park IIRC.
