Thank You Luke.!!GOD BLESS you!
Thanks Emily!
I did that hike when I was 14. Beautiful route.
My uncle took me on this trip when I was 13. That was the trip that cemented "it" for me. Brought back vivid memories on this one. Thx.
I grew up with the mountains nearby and the beauty you find by hiking into remote areas is stunning. It's always sad for me to have the natural beauty enshrouded in smoke - something that happens more often now than in my youth. I can understand why you welcome the rain. Thanks for showing this and introducing peace into my life.
Thanks Pete!
I did this with a good friend about 10 years ago. 3 days of beautiful, sunny weather and some of the most spectacular scenery I've ever witnessed. I would recommend this hike to anyone. Emperor falls was awesome! Thanks for sharing this. It brought back a ton of great memories.
Sweet, I'm glad you got to have a beautiful experience at this place as well!

Spectacular despite the rain and smoke! And so much fast water ... wow. Thanks for sharing yet another adventure in the Canadian Rockies.
Thanks Kevin! Ya there's a ton of fast moving water, which ends up flowing into the mighty Fraser River!
wow, this is amazing!
Thank you!

So happy to see not only an upload but a long video..loved it!! Breathtaking views! I’ve never seen a glacier in this way before. Great video as always ❤️
Thanks! It could have been longer too... I cut out a lot of shots. I thought 16min was long enough! haha
Great adventure!

It definitely is a cool place! Thanks James!
🌱 Thank you for appreciating the beauty others miss and saying it out loud. I love moss covered everything and when ferns 🌿 grow out of rotten trees! ❤️ your videos, Luke!

We were there this summer, but only had time to go to Kinney Flats and now definitely need to go back! Loved this, thank you! We shivered when you did the dip in the lake!
Thanks Gordon and Miki! I hope you go further next time!
Incredible video Luke! That must be a place that you’ll never forget. I want to go to Berg Lake so bad. I have dreams about going there.
Absolutely, I hope you get to go there!
I think spectacular describes it
It definitely does, thanks Olexiy!
Excellent editing
Thanks!
Never been on that hike but have definitely wanted to! Crazy the amount of bikes in the forest haha. Thanks for sharing your adventure!
Thanks Mackie!
Absolutely incredible. Living vicariously from my comfy couch and big screen. Inspiring me to get off my butt this summer.
I'm happy for that, thanks Terrence!
Mount Robson is my favourite site in the Canadian Rockies. Not much of a camper and likely see Berg Lake via a helicopter one day. Did hike the trail and got as far as Whitehorn station before heading back to the parking lot for a day hike. Was very smoky in the area August 2018 when in the Robson Valley.
Ya, Robson truly is an awesome mountain! I was really worried about the smoke too, and was very relieved when it lifted on our trip, around the same time as you were there
One day hike in is very good congrats
thanks!
lifeofluke what was the vertical climb to reach Berg Lake?
Great movie! Thanks greatings from germany
Danke!
Bitte schön schöne Grüße Danijel :-)
Visit Nepal if u love adventure....there are lots of place you will surely love...love from Nepal 🇳🇵🇳🇵
Hey Denish! I'd love to go to Nepal, it would be incredible!
great film Luke (apart from the Berrrrg joke :) ) Absolutely stunning and great enthusiasm. Wish we still had glaciers in Scotland
Haha, thanks Tarry! Go to a Scottish bothy for me!
@@lifeofluke as soon as restrictions are lifted I will mate. Cape Wrath as far North and west as possible on the mainland!
👍👍👍😍
Great video! Was this August? We are heading there next August with our kids. Hoping for no smoke from fires!! 🤞🏻
Thanks! Yep, this was the first weekend in August
Hi. Great video. Heading here next month. What glacier did you guys hike up to? Thank you.
Thanks Gavin! That's the foot of the Robson glacier we were next to.
I always wished I had gone there. You are a perfect host. You are on camera just enough, but the views are always the star. You are also quite handsome and you give an emotional charge to the excitement of the trip when you are on screen.
You're making me blush over here, thanks John!
Deffo on my bucket list hikes to do, awesome photography as usual, cool tunes too, what's the last song on your vid? I've tried to trace it but can't, thanks in advance...Happy trails
Thanks David, the last song is Sakura by Karakter: ua-cam.com/video/QrlDXHjwS7M/v-deo.html
Cheers Luke...my music confusion ends, love your stuff, prior to visiting BC 2016, and 2018 I'd looked for stuff on Gimli and loads of other stuff in BC, your vids are by far away the best and inspire me to get back and get out there.. Happy trails bud
I appreciate that!
Great footage, we love how you put this together. We just got off the Berg Lake Trail as well, and it was amazing! Adding our support to a fellow outdoor enthusiast, and creator! Great work guys. HIGH FIVE!
Thanks brother! Much appreciated!
Eu queria ir no lugar desse
voce deve, Irineia!
Hey Great Video! I was just wondering what camera gear did you guys bring in?
Thanks Qifan! I brought my sony a7s and 3 lenses to Berg Lake
@Ivorine Bear canon 17-40mm f4, sony 55mm f1.8, canon 300mm f4
@@lifeofluke Hey another question, did you use an insert to pack up your camera gear and did you bring a power bank for the sony batteries? Thanks! :)
@@qifanzou5886 I didn't use an insert to pack my camera gear, I just wrap it in my jacket or other clothes in my bag. No power bank either, that was something I didn't have at the time, and I could have recorded more including star timelapses if I had more battery life.
my buddies and I will be there in 2 weeks. Do you see the smoke conditions getting worse?
We had some smoke while hiking the Berg Lake Trail, and we still loved it! You guys are going to have a great time on this trail!
Right now it looks good, but I can't say as the smoke can come and go at any time
Is the trail still closed ?
Yes, unfortunately. BC Parks said last year they decided "to keep the trail closed throughout the 2022 season and prepare for a phased-opening approach" that is "expected to take several years"
...which I think is a bit crazy.
