The Berg Lake Trail is located in the Mount Robson Provincial Park, British Columbia which is a 7-hour drive from Vancouver. It is a popular hiking destination so booking a campsite along the trail is a challenge. Campsites are usually fully booked after a few minutes the reservations were released, so advanced planning is recommended. Visit the BC Parks Discovery Camping website for more details.
This hike happened in September 2020 (which is before my UA-cam channel so please excuse the quality :-).
Our plan was quite last-minute and we were lucky to get a one-night reservation at the Robson pass campground. This is not ideal and I would recommend at least 3 nights preferably on the Marmot or Berg Lake campground as the trail forks of various day hikes are close to these sites.
We stayed at the Robson Meadows campsite on our first night after driving from Vancouver and stayed at the same campsite after hiking back.

To Kinney Lake Campground 7 km; 180 m. elevation gain
To Whitehorn Campground 11 km; 350 m. elevation gain
To Emperor Falls Campground 16 km; 550 m. elevation gain
To Marmot Campground 19 km; 815 m. elevation gain
To Berg Lake Campground 21 km; 800 m. elevation gain
To Robson Pass Campground 23 km; 915 m. elevation gain
Snowbird pass hike 24 km roundtrip from the trail fork near Robson pass; 1331 m.

Yes, its unfortunate that the flooding happened but good to hear nobody was hurt. I have some friends who booked their campsites but have to cancel their trip. I'm grateful I did this hike last year.

We have been also to Mount Robson but we don’t do hikes only small walks because my wife Hélène had a sore knee .

Amazing place! How long did your hike take?
Yes it is 😊 Thank you ☺️. We hiked for 6 hours on the first day and 10 hours on the second day ☺️. Not ideal, but we only got one night camp reservation, so we made the best out of it 😊. Have a great day ☺️
