@@Zach.Richardson ---"Sky of Soot" you say at 2:00? That was pretty good conditions in wildfire situations, actually, I think it adds a lot of mood to the place, I have lived in this region 20 years, and incidentally, you are NOT going to hear wild animals bellowing or grunting the woods, they do not do that, unless you are within 50 meters of them. Forest Fires have been an inherent part of the natural environment of Western Canada for millenia, although in recent years, probably due to global warming, the forest has been much drier than usual and the situation much worse, especially in August.

really love the narration, how the videos were taken, the music, how it is presented, and also - the natural inclusion of the people journeying through the Canadian Rockies. I was blown away by seeing this UA-cam video 3 yrs ago - that made my once dream come to fruition 3 occasions now since I've watched this 3 years ago. this made me go back again and searched this particular UA-cam from Zach Richardson superb work of art I must say coz it is done beautifully. God bless you more.

Were you there super early in the morning before people showed up? Usually we would be surrounded by hundreds of others enjoying the same wonders. However, you were able to create beautiful shots as if the parks were there just for you. So awesome.

June would likely be better than August or September when we went. It was very dry. We had an atypical year because of all the fires. We stayed at an Air BnB and from what our host was telling us, usually August is the best month -- but that also means the busiest. Hope that helps.

Hey Moktan, thanks. I didn't use any filters or LUTS. I pretty much just color correct my footage without much grading. I don't like loosing the natural blues and greens of the mountains. These videos were edited on Premiere Pro from Adobe. However, that being said I've since moved on to editing on Final Cut Pro X and most recently to DaVinci Resolve 17. Of the three I've found DaVinci Resolve the most comprehensive and financially feasible option. Adobe is a rip off in my opinion and wasn't worth the monthly fee.

Moraine Lake is 10 km from Lake Louise, there used to be a trail connecting them but I think it was de-activated, there are many, many trails around both lakes and the valley 'tween them, but you would have to go overnight to reach Moraine from Louise via the high route, and I am not sure if the Park allows camping in that area, I doubt it. Another rule is everyone must go in a group on some trails, as Grizzly bears are making a comeback in this area and there is more security in a group.
