CANADA'S MOST BEAUTIFUL HIKE - BERG LAKE - MOUNT ROBSON
Вставка
- Опубліковано 7 лип 2024
- The Berg Lake Trail is a world-renowned backcountry hiking trail. Gaining just under 800 metres in 23 kilometres, the trail traverses three biogeoclimatic zones.
This trail takes hikers to some of the best scenery in the province. Beyond Kinney Lake, the trail enters the Valley of a Thousand Falls. Fed by the massive Mist, Berg and Robson glaciers, visitors often see huge sections of ice break off or “calve” into the blue/green, silt-laden waters of Berg Lake. Berg Lake campsite is 21 km from the trailhead parking lot. Use one of the campgrounds as a base and take in some day hiking or continue past Robson Pass campground for a challenging excursion.
I completed the hike as an overnight trip as it is much faster when you're traveling solo, but having more time and less snow I could easily have kept going into Robson Pass. Really looking forward to exploring more of this later this summer.
If you interested in this hike ensure you make your reservation months in advance, it sells out extremely fast as it is not a difficult hike, yet the beauty is the selling point.

Most beautiful photography I've seen of this trail. Cool music. You are fine as f***.
Most beautiful hike for Canada's most beautiful man
Im blushing!
Great video…. Planning this trip I. A couple years( trail closed for 2 yrs for Reno ). What time of year was this? What month?
2 years ago, 1 week before the flood that destroyed it.
What month was this?
40 km long trail
Great video! When did you complete this hike? I’m headed up there next week and am trying to determine if there will still be a bit of snow or not.
Hey Geoff!!! I did it the first week of June!!! All the snow is definitely gone!
How were the bugs this time of year?
None!
Great video, we are headed to Canada for a trip next summer. Do you think this is doable as a long one day
50k ? yikes
@@alexanderross4257 that’s only 31 in American;-)
A couple friends of mine did it in a day and went further than Berg. It was 54 kms total but they were hurting units after, would not recommend lol
Nice! I've added this on my list. I read that it is closed right now. Until when do you think it is good to do this trail?
Middle September!
I'm snowshoeing it in a few days. The trail is closed in the summer due to flooding but it's open most of winter and it's absolutely gorgeous in the winter as well. Just make sure you are prepared with avalanche gear.
what time of the year was this?
June 2021
Was that campsite first come ?
The one with Mt.Robson in the back by the river> >/???
@@alexanderross4257 yes that was gorgeous to wake up to
