Not exactly a speed demon but it runs everything well: Photoshop, Illustrator, iMovie, etc. With Leopard I had a few crashes, but now it's running better than ever. Mountain Lion is a great OS. The DVD RW did break, so I opened up the iMac, pulled the drive out and got an external for $30. One repair in 5 years. Not bad.

1:00 pretty sure if you spent like 2 mins cable managing that, it would look 10x better. And what i see in that picture, is freedom. Should anything in that image fail, it can easily be replaced, even if anything internal fails. PCs, Especially custom built ones, give you the freedom to open it up, and replace any defective parts. Can you easily do that with an iMac? No, you can't. That's a deal breaker.

The onoff button on Mac Mini M4 is a joke! That is BAD design. Seen so many people defending this bad design, I don't know why.
I agree that we can put the Mac into sleep so it's almost shut off and we can wake it up anytime, so we almost never need the onoff button. But when we actually need that onoff button, it's important to have easy access! I hope Apple will fix this ASAP and to be realistic we have to wait for Mac Mini M5 or M6... so 1-3 years!

Heat on the outside comes from where? Sure in some cases, exterior heat caused by the internals is better... But when your macbook pro gets hot enough that touching the palm rest becomes uncomfortable, to an end user it is a bad thing.
    And yes, palm rest.
