This video brought me to tears.
Me, Grandpa and Grandma used to do this at least twice a week in the province. Although we don't have money, we catch good foods, we cook them and we have a blast eating.
Both of them already passed away years ago. Now, I'm an adult living in the city where everything have to involve money. The city life is eating away the happy fisherman inside of me.
Your videos are amazing, so is your family. Thank you so much for sharing.

This all looks so real and authentic , the whole family aspect brings it to a whole new level. I don't know much about this, as I live in the middle of land-locked and cattle-fed USA, but I love sea food, and am entranced by how you find them, and how much care you have for the little creatures you put back (turning them over, putting the heavy end down; putting little fish back into the seaweed; covering things back up to make sure they live to see another day). I know you're looking for specific foods and sizes, but it's incredibly educational for me. I'd love to go on a "vacation" and have you show/teach me, or the opportunity with someone else. 55 years ago l worked the shrimp trawlers out of Florida. Lived on the boat or on the beach. Money was tight had to know every species of edible clam. The inshore Florida scallops weren't as big as yours. However on the 3'rd sand bar from shore, about 3ft at low tide, were the Pen Shells a large relative of scallops. They weren't as sweet as scallops but their adductor muscle was twice as big. Used a drift wood and palm frond fire, threw seaweed on top, then clams & Pens, more weed and sprinkle with seawater.. Occasionally, a Stone Crab with a fresh coconut milk as a chaser. Seems when one has nothing, every little thing is great.

Five minutes of that teaches you more than 3 years in primary school. However, my primary school wasn't bad either. What a great family activity. James doesn’t seem to share the passion for eating your harvest, but I notice you always offer. He’ll grow i to it, I bet! Thanks for bringing us along, in a figurative sense.

Mr. Jones - Thank you very much. We are an outdoors family and love the shore. The little man doesn’t yet enjoy proper seafood but he may one day. All the best to you and your family and have a great week. 😊👍🏻🐚🦀

Anyone else find it hilarious whenever he wakes up the crabs and how they wake up stretching like a person?
