Meconium isn't necessarily an issue, there's a lot of good articles about how normal it can be! Aspirating the meconium is the biggest issue, and usually caused by that distress you talk about (pitocin, etc). I love that you encourage women to stay home! Happy birthing, fellow watchers!
With my second I had leap out of bed thinking I had to go to the restroom. Felt something pop and was like oh shoot my water broke. This was at 11ish pm. Went to the hospital right away. Not knowing this info. But thank goodness he was born at 2 am. It was the easiest and less painful birth experience. Wish they were all like this. 😊 I have 3 boys. Pregnant with 4 now.😬
@awerkingmama Thank you! Yes, I feel like I can do this again. Just going to move more and work on my no's. Hubby doesn't feel like we should do a home birth. So hospital it is. I was induced with 2 of my pregnancies, no epidural. I'm going to avoid that this time if they bring it up. Not due till August. 😀
Thank You so much for this information. I feel grateful you share your experience and teach all women to advocate for themselves and to speak up about what we want for our pregnancy. I am one of the ten percent of women who had their water broke and did not go into labour. I did not know about this until during my time at the hospital. Please keep sharing, I hope to hear more of these stories so I can feel more secure and confident in advocating for myself the next pregnancy I have. Thank You for being who you are. I wish I knew this information before I went to the hospital.
With baby #2, my water broke at 11:45. I didn't know about laboring at home and went to the hospital. By 1:45, Dr was talking emergency cesarean because baby might have "infection", "fetal distress", "dry birth", etc. 😢😢😢 . The team made it sound like nothing was left inside my womb.
Same thing happened to me with my first pregnancy. They tried to induce me but my son’s heartbeat wash dropping and we decided to have a c-section. I’m pregnant again and I’m trying to have a VBAC.
This information has been really helpful.... My water broke yesterday around 6pm but no contractions I was super worried if I most go to the hospital or not I will stay at home and wait for 24hrs
My water broke with both of my pregnancies, this last time I asked my OB if I could labor at home and NOTHING happened with my labor progression for 24hrs 😢. I would get contractions and they would die off. So ofcourse I had to go to hospital and everyone pushed me to get induced because it had been too long, and that was so painful so I got epidural. Thankfully I had two wonderful vaginal births, but is something wrong with me? Wondering why for both times my body didn’t go into labor after an entire day of my water breaking, and I’m always curious to know if it ever would have gone into labor if I waited
Same happened with my last 2 births. I was induced w pitocin after 12 hrs w my first. My second rupture of waters I stayed home and baby was born on the 3rd day. I would go to hospital and check my water level and fetal stress test and then leave against medical advice. Important thing is your babies are here and you are healthy :)

You're absolutely right!
Hi, so you saying mecomium whilst in labour is ok? Does it not cause issue to the baby ?
Once the baby swallow it is harmful and the baby should be suctioned right after birth @@MA-vp6us
The first thing I learned when studying labor: it’s not gonna be like the movies.
How it went: exactly like in the movies 😅

This information is just so important. We need to be educated on our reality Vs the fear and doubt they instill in us. Thank you ❤

That sounds scary, I don't love that they scared you! What were the results of your birth?

@@humantalitycounseling WOW on the third day! That’s so amazing 😭 Was baby perfectly healthy? When did you labor start to pick up?
It is not dangerous for the baby loosing ambiotic fluid?
Mine happened just like the movies 😂
