I personally do not recommend showing up to the hospital ready to push...being in transition in the car is NOT fun. I was already 10cm when we got to the hospital and i pushed my daughter out just 20 minutes later. The car ride to the hospital was god awful. I needed to move around and obviously couldn't. Maybe if your hospital is like 5 minutes away then no biggie. Mine was 20 minutes and let me tell you those 20 minutes were hell and by far the worst part of my labor. Sure it's nice to avoid being the hospital for so long but I would never want to be in transition in the car ever again. It's frightening wondering if you are even going to make it and then pain is SO much more intense. It was a huge relief once I could get out of the car and move my body.
I'm ovulating tomorrow and we're TCC this month! I've seen a lot of birthing videos but the way you describe things is so helpful! You have a lot of info other people don't talk about and I am feeling very prepared to hopefully give birth in June 2025!
Thank you so much for sharing. Before I was more informed as a doula I went to an unassisted home birth where moms contractions were one minute apart for hours. It ended with adverse outcomes and nobody was educated enough to know it was time to go to hospital. This video is such a a big help for parents.
Thank you so much for this video. I am currently pregnant with twins, and I have had contractions for a week consistently. Usually, my contractions are 7 minutes to 8 minutes long but stop after an hour or so. I am 1 cm dilated and 90% effaced, but nothing seems to be happening. I know my body is preparing for labor, but it doesn't seem like I'm progressing.
This video is def helpful. I've been contracting for about 4 weeks and have had start/stop labor, but this is my 3rd baby and only one I ever experienced this with. My other kids were 40 weekers. 1st was vaginal, 2nd CS, and i'm going for VBAC. with this one. My doctor straight up told me if I walk into the hospital too early they will probably want to CS me, so.. I have to labor at home for as long as I can. The fear is that my hospital is 38 minutes away AND this is my 3rd babe. So at this point i'm just hoping and praying that my delivery day goes the way I hope. I want to shoot for 4-1-1, but they def want me to come in 5-1-1 due to the distance from home to L&D. It's so hard to know what to listen to lol. Thank God it's almost over haha. The stress of the unknown is so real
I'm from Brazil mama. I'm 28 weeks pregnant so I'm a little far from labor haha but I want to wish you and your baby a wonderful and magic labor, a healthy recovery and a excellent postpartum ❤️ hugs from mama to mama ❤️
I was told I have fibroids I don’t know how true something’s are because they never diagnose me to be pregnant as well as I have had two miscarriages, my ultrasound shows and looks like I’m carrying five
Hi , I am from Sri Lanka. I have had 2 vaginal births and 2 csections. 1. First baby - born vaginally without epidural @ 37 weeks in 2015. Baby weighing 3.190 kg. 2. Second baby - born via An emergency C-section aftr laboring for few hours due to footling breech baby @ 38 week in 2017. Baby weighing 3.300 kg. 3. Third baby - tried for a vbac in 2020. Here in Sri Lanka the doctors allow only to try a vaginal birth aftr only 1 C-section. Was induced with pitocin .5 n doctor vacuumed the baby out. Had a Successful vaginal birth @ 41 weeks. Baby weighing 3.500kg 4. Fourth baby - went for vbac in 2022. Wasn’t dilating so doctor tried the fole bulb method n next day broke my water n contractions started right way. Was at 4 cm from morning 6 till evening 6. Wasn’t progressing. So doc did an emergency C-section again. @ 41 weeks. Baby weighing 3.800kg. 5. Now am pregnant with my 5 baby whose due in march 2024. I badly want to try for a vbac. Am 31 weeks now. Is trying for a vbac possible. Aftr 2 csections. My doctor jus cut off saying extremely sorry we can’t try for a vaginal delivery again aftr 2 csections. Here in Sri Lanka we don’t have midwifery. Only hospital birth. And they won’t allow us to move from our bed from the time we get admitted till the baby is born. Jus lying down on both the sides n giving birth in laying down position. I wish if u could give me some advice regarding a vba2c. My two incisions are low horizontal bikini cuts. Will it be safe if I labour at home as long as possible and reach the hospital at the last min. ..? Or any advice on home birth ..? Plz do reply. God will bless u immensely. I have no one here who is willing for a vba2c. Kindly waiting for ur reply. Thank you.
So confusing my body playing games I will cramp, have pressure and contractions I had so much pressure I thought my water was going to break for hours and then nothing I’m going to go get a membrane sweep
Thank you so much for this video ❤ does this apply for those hoping for a VBAC. Can you labour at home without a doula or midwife? What do you recommend? I'm so afraid of the possibility of uterine rupture.
@@Ash-js2ig update I had to be put on it soon after I arrived it was a little inconvenient. But I was able to walk around and bounce on the ball. I was able to push on the chair with my knees in feet out and when it was time to deliver I laid on my back pushed when they told me . I had a no epidural vaginal birth with no tears for my first baby :D baby was 7.13 pounds I had back pain for 12 hours but the actual pushing part was painless just a little pressure
Also my contractions were super close together and I didn’t get any breaks the whole 12 hours . I wanted to stay home as long as possible but the contractions were very confusing so we went earlier but my hospital left me alone for the most part I was comfortable I would’ve been in the same pain at home. But they respected my no epidural wish
I appreciate this video. I've had contractions that has intensified for past three days, but aren't constant with diarrhea, nausea, and pressure in back and butt .. I was told to wait for constant contractions, even though I live an hour away from the hospital 😫
You can do it. Sounds like baby is trying to get into a better position. Try looking up spinning babies or the mikes circuit to get a more consistent pattern.
@@awerkingmama I appreciate you so much for responding! I used to do the miles circuit stretches , I will start back and I will look up spinning babies as well!
I was praying about this just yesterday like Lord, how will I know when it's time to go? Thank you!
You’re welcome! I hope it helps ❤
Same he re❤

Just a thought what the deal with dry birth

I'm so afraid of the possibility of uterine rupture.
Yes and yes. Vbacs should be operating the same way.
Labor at home as long as possible. Uterine rupture is such a low risk. It increases with induction.
❤✨Thank you… great information❤️🥰✨
What would you suggest if I live 1.5 hours away from the hospital?.. 5-1-1?
Get a hotel, that may help!
Anybody test positive for gbs please comment when u left to go to the hospital for the antibiotics
They will want to have you on an iv for several hours. If you don't have enough time, they may want you to stay 2 days at the hospital after birth.
