Hi Alice! Thanks for the video. A question, for women who wants to VBAC, if their water breaks (trickles) out before labour/contraction starts, what is the best way to proceed? I heard that artificial induction (pitocin) isn't recommended for VBAC candidates, as that could increase the risk for uterine rupture. Please kindly advise. Thanks very much! 🙏
You are correct that most providers do not use pitocin with VBAC labors. I would say time and movement (position changes) in order to get contractions going would be the best options in the scenario.
