Everyones labor is different. I woke up and lost my mucous plug. I said Im having a baby today. Went to my doctor appt scheduled that day, only 1 centimeter. She said maybe next week. I said, "No, today". Contracts got to less than like 3 minutes apart so I went to the hospital. The hospital told me you're only 1 cm come back tomorrow. I refused to leave because I knew I was in active labor. They finally did an US and seen my fluids were low and decided to admit me. By time I was admitted, and given an epidural, I was 5-6 centimeters. A couple hours later I gave birth. If I had listened to them it would have been a home birth.
I'm a FTM currently 40+4 days pregnant and I've had a terrible cold for the last 5 days. I'm still not feeling myself 100% but it's so reassuring to know that this is normal. I had a feeling it was my body's way of preparing but I haven't heard anyone talk about this symptom before. Thank you for sharing, your videos have been soo helpful throughout my pregnancy.
This is why I do what I do and share the knowledge with everyone! To educate and empower all women! Hang in there mama, you are nearing the birth of your baby and I am so excited for you to hold him/her in your arms soon.
Lost my mucus plug I think at 37 weeks and five days. I'm at 39 weeks now and still have not gone into labor. Luckily I knew I could lose it well before labor so I wasn't and haven't been concerned but baby can come whenever excited for that day!
I’m currently watching this at 36.5 weeks with Covid ! You just made me feel less stressed about it lol so thank you . I also do get moments of nausea and I have been more tired . (Aside from these Covid symptoms .) it’s crazy I told someone this third trimester is reminding me of the first trimester the other day and then you said it in the video. I feel good like I’m right on track now
9 hours of prodromal labor and still no baby. Its exhausting. Midwife asked me what my labors are usually like (baby #6) I said, Usual? What do you mean? No two have even been similar! I was convinced baby was imminent. And here I am, still waiting.
i’m 36+3 and i have every single one of these signs except bloody show and my water breaking lol. i had no idea cold & flu symptoms and vomiting was a sign! i was so scared of being sick and going into labor bc i’ve had a feeling my baby is coming early so this is so relieving!!!
I appreciate you! With my first baby I didn’t have any symptoms except for contractions from 12 weeks on and I didn’t know what it was so I just went through it. With this one I’m in my mid 30s so I feel the need to be a bit more informed. Thankfully this one feels like the first one, but you have been so helpful in preparing for things that could happen. 8 years feel like a lifetime.
42 weeks today, been having Braxton hicks for what feels like a month now 🙄 but! Just got dia-ea 😂 out of no where and some strong pain in my back and low abdomen so hoping it’s FINALLY go time 🤞🏼
Thank you so much for making this video- this is so reassuring!!! I am 35+5 days and I was feeling so worried experiencing nausea and diarrhea. I love your whole channel and it's really been an amazing resource with my first pregnancy
I was so afraid not to catch a cold during preg and here I am week 36 with a cold 😅 it's not so bad, I treated it with vit.C and honey syrops made at home. It actually feels good to have my nose running, as body is getting out toxins and bad energy, so.. Now hearing this from you made me feel even more safe ❤🙏thank you for you attitude, it helped me lifting my spirits up during my first pregnancy. I read alot about it, but hearing others with the same thinking complets the story for me ❤️
Talking about labor lol. I was in labor and didn't know it. The only thing I questioned was going #2 sooo much lol...then not but an hour later my water broke and that's when I knew.....but still didn't feel like it though. Got to hospital and was 4 cm dilated. Never really felt like I was ever in labor the whole time. My mom was the same to an extent.
Same. I don't notice labor until transition, I can feel pressure, but it's not painful and I can kinda ignore it. I played it on the safe side and wanted to make sure my midwife was able to get to me in time, because if I waited, she may not have made it. Turns out prodromal labor is a thing and it's obnoxious.
My day was super chill and nothing different. Come 10pm, I thought I had a trickle of water after my bath. Few min later contractions hit like a bus. Bloody show a few min later. I had my baby within 50 min.
Currently pregnant with baby #2, and I'm 38+4. I'm so glad I watched this video because I started feeling the cold like symptoms/sinus today. Although I didn't feel like it was an emergency, it's nice to know that this is a possible symptom of my body preparing for labor. I didn't experience this with my 1st. Thanks for sharing❤
My water broke and I was not contracting. Later, I rushed to the hospital and ended up in c section. But now I am waiting to deliver my baby number two. This is so helpful
@@AndiieTeeit was maybe because I was induced with pitocin, not too sure. My first one I had lost mucus plug a few weeks prior. Second one I don’t remember ever seeing a mucus plug. This time I’m not planning on inducing. I’ll let you know the difference! (37 weeks w #3).
Why did my prodromal labor start at 34 weeks? If it wasn’t for the internet I would have gone to the ER, but the internet is a great resource to learn about these things
I can’t speak on why that happened for you. Some babies do different things and having support along the way is important to figure out what could be going on. So glad you found the info you need!
I didn’t know you could have Braxton hicks so early! I’m 23 weeks and have had some pains that I figured were just my body settling with the baby, but I also have really painful periods. So this feels like almost nothing compared to that! I’m going to go learn more and see if that’s really what’s happening
What if you have a bacterial infection and your water breaks? Should you run to the hospital? Would that affect your baby? Or would you still suggest to wait for contractions to go to the hospital?
My water broke on its own. I had gone 29hrs like that and was completely a oh okay. I think it's just really a fear mongering thing. So long as your surroundings are clean. That was my experience. One must use common sense.
The risk of a severe neonatal infection increases after 12 h to ~1% compared to 0,5% without premature rupture of membranes. You can choose to receive antibiotic prophylaxis and wait up to 72 hours, if labor established... According to the guidelines of the German society of gynecology and obstetrics. (showering and bathing is allowed and you should not get a cervical check if you are not in labor or induced to reduce the risk of infection).
Im 37+3 pregnant and have been experiencing everything but the mucus plug, bloody show, and water breaking for 4 days now. This is my 2nd baby and im praying she comes in her own this week or else im facing an induction or c section due to babys size and previous shoulder dystocia. My first I was induced at 39 weeks and we experienced a mild should dystocia (no injury to baby and i didnt even tear). But because of that and the fact this baby is measuring bigger than my first, they are pushing a c section. Hopefully she comes soon❤
My water broke after a late night and post coitus. Like, as soooon as i began to fall asleep. 48 hours after, i was told i had to go to the hospital as i had not dilated past 4cm. I havent heard any clear info about this yet, and i have been looking. What is your take on that? My midwife never educated me on the matter 9 ½years ago even though i did say i was oblivious to it all and whatever info she could give me, certainly was not given.
This honestly depends on the provider, unfortunately. I know women whose babies are fine days after water has been broken but so many factors go into ensuring your and your baby's safety (i.e, color and odor of fluid). That being said, it is important that if your water breaks first, you shouldn't try to force yourself into labor if you don't have to.
@awerkingmama everything was good. Her reasoning was it was standard essentially to go. Apparently she is known now for doing bait and switches. There were only good reviews for her when I was seeing her, but afterward, several stories I read up were very similar to mine. I waited at the hospital for her and eventually fell to the cruel graces of what most women face there.
I am 30 weeks (ftm) and I’ve had a rough, painful pregnancy so far. I was in the hospital last week for leaking fluid, but the amnisure test came back negative and my ultrasounds are looking good with fluid. For the past week I’ve been experiencing a lot of these symptoms. I had lost my mucus plug mid second trimester, but I guess it was fine and built back up? I haven’t had a bloody show or felt my water break though. When should I be concerned? Are these also just normal for 3rd trimester?
I am not a doctor and cannot tell you what it means, if you feel like you need to see your provider please do so! Maybe you are in the beginning stage of labor and movement would be good for you but I have no idea because I don't know your history or condition.
What about being super emotional? I haven’t been emotional any more than normal this whole pregnancy, (I’m typically pretty chill) but the last few days I have been so much more emotional, 35 weeks and two days right now

🎉🎉🎉congrats new mama and how did you know for sure your mucous plug was released?
Noted ✅️ stand my ground 😅
Hey, was this your first baby? thanks x
And a home birth would be preferable to many. No one ever believes I'm truly in labor either.
