It's pretty funny that it was mostly just lacking contrast. Maybe they thought the texture would be visual noise? It's a real problem with some SC2 (specially Zerg) and specially WC3 tilesets.
This video was soooo well made. And I know this is so much work to put everything together. Congratulations for your awesome work. You got a subscriber.
constructive criticism here, please put in some effort to normalize the level of your audio. it's incredibly simple, download 10-20 seconds video from an established youtuber, put it in a video editor, check how far the audio level peaks in your software, usually set to peak at -5db to -10db, then put in your own video, crank up your volume knob in your video editor of choice, up until you see the audio on your video to peak as high as the professional video did. as it is now, i have to increase my volume from 20 or so on windows to about 80 so i can actually hear what you are saying, it's a big issue with an easy fix and takes literally 10 seconds to understand and learn forever. good luck
The visual improvements are so good, even better when you see them side by side!
Actually looks like a different game. It's mad
I admit, I'm shocked to see that the terrain was actually meant to have texture after all
