UA-cam videos in general have clickbaity titles, but this one is fully deserved. That was one of the coolest Stormgate games I've seen. Awesome to see such large armies, protracted fights, and multiple fronts being fought. Felt a lot like AoE2 at times.
Glad to hear, since it's so new and the maps are pretty small/simple we've seen a lot of people mostly focusing on direct engagements outside of drops, so I thought it was really cool to see so much movement and back and forth in this game. Cheers!
Double Flayed Dragon is absolutely devastating. I think vanguard have to have some hangars ready to go to deal with that addition, hornets melt dragons
Good game to show off a lot of what the factions have on offer. I hadn't really seen any games of this scale so far. It's such an odd WC3/SC2-mix. Especially looking at the Infernals and how reminiscent they seem of the Undead, while having actual "Bio" on the other hand. Interested to see how this one will turn out.
Can’t wait for more replay features. It really felt like infernals was pretty far ahead as soon as he stopped the lancer push in the beginning buts it’s hard to tell without units lost, worker count, army comp, etc.
22:00: Dude, Speed Boost is such BS. Overextend immunity removes very important consequence; eliminates the importance of positioning. What a fantastic comeback! The Dragons were huge.
Skillous displayed a game of somone with extremely good RTS skills but almost 0 stormgate skills. Once he actually starts playing Vanguard to all its strenghts he is gonna be a monster.
Elazer also wasn't making Hellborne and made weavers instead which would have done very well against the bio. Definitely a lot of improvements both players could have made, but this was a crazy chaotic game with constant harass and fights on multiple fronts. Goes to show how high the skill cap of this game is despite being slower than sc2
it costs 500/500/300. also there’s lots of other games where it feels like the -500/-500 meme can’t base it off a small sample and where the better player had the dragons
It's pretty expensive but you've definitely gotta respect it as the vanguard player. I've mostly seen it come out just after the infernal player loses a fight and it seems pretty weak. In this game Elazer used it so damned well though, was really impressive how much value he got
Why is Skillous not putting any units into his outposts? They'd be a lot stronger with a BOB or Exo in them. Eh, he did it later but it felt like it took forever. lol
the "no offense, but european players play boring" cuz of the macro'ing up all the time u mentioned. i was 11times master in HotS and LotV. maybe because of the playstyle i got bored out of the ladder :D. maybe i should try to play more aggressive builds to have fun in this game again. idk if this will work out as a zerg main, but i think its worth a shot.
Attack --> drone + tech --> next attack --> expand and tech --> Attack - that's a super strong way to play Zerg that creates some very dynamic styles. If you ever get bored of EU but have playable ping to the Asian servers try them out, people play CRAZY styles over there that create really fun chaotic games
If youre listening devs, please make a mechanism for players to control the creeps in creep camps. Nobody wants to watch AI units in a competitive 1v1 game. Its outdated and spectator unfriendly.
The saddest part about how half-baked Stormgate is in it's current form is seeing a bunch of RTS fans throw themselves at the game, what a total lack of self respect and self control they must have to be this attached to any kind of representation of the RTS genre. Frost Giant had their chance to release a compelling and interesting product and instead they've shown they are just lighting cigars with 500 dollar bills and slamming their nose in the "sugar bowl". Chance blown, this games gonna be dead on arrival.
Bio really sucks late game. Horrible anti air and dies really fast to splash. Best Vanguard games are the ones where it uses Atlas and Hornets, with support to supplement them
Yeah I feel like you were meant to transition from Exos to Vulcans by the lategame. That or Lancers to Vulcans. The AoE, light damage bonus, and extra durability should deal with Gaunts and Fiends okay.
Animations, and visual effects in this game are underwhelming. You have massive fights but you dont feel the carnage, the intensity of each blow. It looks bland.
it is not stormgate it is icegate, everyunit look like she is a penguin on ice... such an awefull game... damn... not to mention the animation having absolutely no impact... dead game already

give it up dude. Frost Giant is out of money.
@@905JimRaynor give it up dude, you have no clue what you are talking about
im glad u and the 17 other stormgate players will have someone to play with till the end of time
barely a clickbait title
Drinking game: take a shot every time pig says “stompy stomp”
Double Flayed Dragon is absolutely devastating. I think vanguard have to have some hangars ready to go to deal with that addition, hornets melt dragons
Esp. since the rest of the Infernals are pretty blegh or inefficient vs air.

cant wait for 3rd race reveal ^^
its naga
Hope so... or murlocs lmao. @@trumpwonBIGLY
21:50 Loved that reference because it told me how to value the loss in other RTS terms .. please do more of those comparative 'assessments' !
Thanks mate will try to throw a few more of those out there

I want a production tab!
Nothing triggers me more then seeing empty bunkers lol. Specially when all he is building is bio!
I feel like he threw the game with his refusal to defend properly. He didn't need to push so aggressively into the towers with all that map control
Good to see Vanguard punished for going bio only. Need AoE to deal with that crazy Infernal late game
I love how the game looks right now! Can't wait for the open beta!
Those Flayed dragons are some serious badasses
Ah yes the stompy stomp. Very good attack if you're able to hit your target.
Felt like having only empty bunkers was the beginning of the loss for this match to counter the drop harass
22:00: Dude, Speed Boost is such BS. Overextend immunity removes very important consequence; eliminates the importance of positioning.
What a fantastic comeback! The Dragons were huge.
If Skillous would have just made a handful of Hornets, this game would have been an easy win. Elazer was hanging on by a thread for so long.
system shock + exos can also absolutely crunch them, rewatching this game that was another potential missed opportunity even if using the same army

That doom briguer play was really nice probably really anoing too
Great to see multitasking - with the longer TTK than star craft 2, you end up with multiple fronts and exciting maneuvering
The dragon feels a bit nuts to me i dont think you should lose a game that hard off the back of basically a free unit

There are ways to kill the flayed dragon as Vanguard. Skillious just didn't have enough game knowledge to use them.
Game def needs better audio. But looks good so far outside that.
So in competitive play how is it decided who chooses which faction to play as?
give some more information about what patch it is and what changes this patch has
Why is Skillous not putting any units into his outposts? They'd be a lot stronger with a BOB or Exo in them. Eh, he did it later but it felt like it took forever. lol
5:00 I'm EU and unranked but oh boi I'd be aggro. SMOrc
i dont wanna shit on the devs, but honestly it looks like a bad starcraft 2 clone. I just want warcraft 3 done right honestly.
Well we learned that unchecked Flayed Dragons is a very big mistake. lol
haha 100%. I haven't seen them look so damned powerful before, I think they definitely demand you getting a few hornets to shut it down
I hope the terrain gets more detail cause now looks like is w3 lowest graphics settings 😅
Frost GIant had to cap the player count on Steam at 450,000. These guys are amazing!
There was maximum 16,000 people playing according to fgs own stats. What?
Should've transitioned to Vulcans/Hornets imo.
Just found out that StormGate has a new Liquidpedia Page!!!!!!!!!
Pin pls? :)
Looks like SC2

Has PiG criticized the game at all?
yeah it really looks bad
agreed
Vanguard badly needs its next lvl of top bar abilities. Doesn’t seem fair the infernals have all six of theirs
Or just use the existing abilities on the medics instead of thinking that clicking buttons fast alone would win the game like it’s Minecraft pvp
Why are shroudstones so weak? They don't do much damage and don't have much health.
I think its cause they're super cheap to make
Not digging the OverCraft graphics
Shhh. We're supposed to pretend this is the next generation of RTS and not a dumbed down version of SC1.5 for Fortnite kiddies.
It's a beta homie@@allanshpeley4284

the free unit need to be nerfed...omg they move so fast and have too many hit point.
seems like defensive structures are weak af, but I haven't watched much stormgate gameplay at all so wtf do I know

bio is amazingly strong late game lmao. The guy playing made the mistake of not adding hornets to his army.
Bio is always strong, but it needs mech support late game.
