lt wasn;t designed as a fast vehicle, it is a small offroad based vehicle, l don't see anybody saying how slow the old Defender was and that was just a bigger version of the new Jimny, l drove a V8 Defender 90 for a while with a lightly tuned 3.5 litre engine and while it it wasn't really quick it did suprise a few people, at 85 mph it started to get a bit scary but would have exceeded 100 mph if l had the guts and l didn't, the new Jimny is okay at normal highway speeds and feels a lot better at those speeds than a Defender would.
