Combine the tank bag and phone mount by getting a tank bag with the clear window and phone holder. You can carry snacks, extra batteries for your GoPro and other essentials. Or if you are in Flint Michigan like I am you can carry a backup gun and a bunch of extra loaded magazines. 🤣

I wonder how many people have wrecked and been thrown a distance from their bike and hurt badly and can't call anyone to help because they just happen to be riding alone in the twisties. Even if they're laying beside the bike it's likely the phone will be sent a ridiculous distance into the woods from the wreck. I've traveled the united states' and only ever read the road signs and showed up to my destination every time. Keep your phone on you. Trying to read a phone screen while riding isn't the best option for most anyways.

A pair of sunglasses and a clear visor is the easiest day-to-night option, followed by a transition visor, followed by a helmet with a built in sun visor. All are good options, but I don't think it's ever a good idea to rely only on a tinted visor all the time. You need to be more versatile than that.
Also, hell yes on the luggage. With age comes wisdom and a matched set of hard bags. Call me a nerd, I don't care. I can carry stuff, you can't. I win.

I've got got 30L panniers on both sides and a 55L TopBox. It is SOOOOO handy while travelling, especially if going for a picnic or ride with my partner. Before would have to carry a backpack. Now me and my partner can comfortably go for a weekend getaway with the panniers and topbox fully loaded and nothing on our backs or laps. Plus my partner can lean against the topbox as a backrest. Granted I do have the luxury of owning more than 1 bike, this is mounted on my ADV bike while my naked bike has nothing

I always had back pack back in the day had pare shield in it tinted for day if I rode into evening pulled over put clear one on. sunglasses a pain to get on and off in full face plus I could flip up tinted when refueling and going into store or if I need clear quick glance at something. Also had nice clothe and cleaner for the days when bugs were out in number. Good back pack is only thing I ever needed no phone holder or sliders or most of the junk guys use today. I was riding I needed bike gear and open road and gas money LOL

I rode to ride if i was staying over night or going to see family and needed luggage took a car. I am sport bike guy I rode for backroads and speed, did not need anything that back pack could not carry. anything else is weight and slows bike and kills handling and braking. Bike was my ferrari, fast and slick minimal things. if it did not make make bike stop or go better I did not want it. luggage is for cars not bikes. Bikes are for speed and fun, at least for me, but you gold wing guys are cool if you like to travel fine. If I travel I take a car. safer more space for junk and tunes and no rain on me. LOL

Heated grips are a must. We both use the bike master brand. I think they’re about $50/60 and work great. You do have to remember to turn them off otherwise you’ll kill your battery.

Pro tip: make sure your trickle charger is rated for the correct batter type. Most standard chargers only support traditional lead-acid or AGM (absorbed glass mat) batteries. If you have upgraded to a lithium battery (I don't think they come stock on any bikes yet), you will need the appropriate charger, ideally one that can toggle between both types. Also helps to invest in a battery with a built in jump starter for emergencies.

transition/photochronic/photogray visors shields are not all they’re talked up to be. depending on conditions, transition periods can last several minutes during which you may see ghost-like shadows in your visor. Your visual depth of field (sense of perspective) may also be flattened or otherwise distorted. The conditions in which these things happen include tunnels, street lights at night, and shady country roads. Even overcast sky can cause distortion in what you see through a transition visor. Essentially, any time the light is not uniform, even a little bit, your transition visor is going to transition, or at least try to.

Basically its a hand warmer and a tampax pad combined so its a hand warmer that sticks to the seat of your bike right near the crotch area. This earea has many major arteries flowing near it meaning it is an amazing place to heat up when riding. This would be a cool cheap alternative to seat warmers.

If it's actually cold, as in winter, heated gloves work much better than heated grips as you have heat where you actually need it, on the back of your hands where the wind chill is . Heated grips are great if you're out riding on a nice day, and encounter some cooler temperatures, in the mountains for example, as they'll take the chill off in anything but actual cold weather.

Phone mount yes, but not for the new iPhones. The camera gets broken due to the vibrations. I bought an OUKITEL WP5 off of Amazon to serve as my navigation. Just use your hotspot on your iPhone to the OUKITEL WP5. Then, Bluetooth from OUKITEL WP5 to your helmet coms for spoken navigation directions.

I have a Chinese replica of a Ninja 300, I love the bike, it’s great for learning but the speedometer is way off. So I got a Rokform mount, I use a speedo app that is accurate (tested in my car) makes me feel more comfortable learning. Im a chick with anxiety and I was wondering why ppl were tailgating, I was going about 35 in a 45 and didn’t know haha

My first option new bike, getting rid of the toxic lead acid battery. Lithium prostate iron batteries are lighter, smaller, more CCA, longer warranty, last 3-5 times longer vs lead acid, no explosive hydrogen gas, no corrosion or leaking, NO TRICKLE CHARGER, full cranking power to 10% vs 70% of charge needed lead acid,
