As a Nigerian-immigrant currently working and schooling in North America, I have come to one conclusion: Social Justice, wokeness and progressivism can ONLY exist in a developed, liberal and first-world nation/region where there are very few existential threats and where the purposeless masses in urban areas have to create some form of ideology to fill the void in their lives. That is why it makes no sense and destroys that society. That is also why rural westerners, non-western countries and immigrants mostly tend to hate social justice and wokeness more than the native citizens.

Yeah, its almost like this is my flesh and blood, I'm naturally am going to have a bond with them. Literally when my son was born I didn't realize how much I cared about him until he had to go to the NICU for a few days and I felt a huge wave of worry. It was then that I realized just how much I care about someone I barely knew. And I never felt that way before. If I hear other children getting sent there for the same reasons I felt sorry and hope the got better. But as for my son, I was feeling a lot. And this is from someone people sometimes call near emotionless. And my gf was able to sense my concern and worry for him. Having to see him in that bed with machines hooked up to him and having a nurse constantly checking in on him. I'm so glad he's healthy now and nearly 3 and a half years old now. But that thought and memory are still relatively new.

“It’s Victorian capitalism that created bed-times”
    Actually incorrect.
The upper aristocracy didn’t care for bed-times they were quite happy to stay up late and drink and eat all night.
It was actually a working class concept that was brought in as it allowed their families to structure their lives around their work, hobbies, schooling, tea-times and sleep.
You could say that it was that of the “oppressive” factory owners who forced them into this (and atleast the people of Victorian Britain can somewhat claim this as those fuckers got worked to death quite often) but in truth it was something of a working class trope already as even going back further they would usually have sleep times to attend farm work, or military work or shop work and so on.
The bed-time isn’t some capitalist invention. It’s a standard time of sleep that people recognise your body needs, especially after working a long shift - something these socialite commies have never done.

And even if you were able to keep your humanity, after you're free you won't be allowed to be hired at normal jobs, so the only road is to the bottom of society. That's why former prisoners end up in criminal business again. To quote a classic movie, 'I stole, I got drunk, I went into prison. Several times.'

It built a sense of self worth, and because of it I know I need to get the fuck out of my parents house. Before covid I'd been planning to move out with a friend, but then covid hit, and he decided to stay where he was at. I could have moved out by myself, but that would have been temporary anyway, because housing prices where I was at soared 700%. So I stayed with my folks, as they were planning to move back to a state I was planning to anyway.
Nowadays, I'm usually gone for most of the day, work and am going to school to get an IT degree. Mainly because I want to live for something more than leechdom (even if I'm not really one as I'm self aware and do whatever I can to make it easier on them, it still feels like it), perpetual boredom and being a member of my school's hidden, toxic socialist club (I know it exists, I just can't see it nor want to find it).
I want to be able to provide for myself and someone else. That's my goal right now. I'm grateful for everything my parents have done for me and my brother. But I also want to make enough to allow them to be supported in their retirement. That, and I owe my dad a damn plane.
And I do it all on 6-7 hours of sleep. Sometimes none, but that's life. Holy Shit it's 3 am. Good night.

I suffer from a personality issue that makes it difficult for me to go to the convenience store get cigarettes. Facing people is super difficult for me. My privacy is a matter of mental health for me. I would be so anxious and uncomfortable in a setting like that that I would break within days, "treatment" or not. They say they are all-inclusive, but it's simply a fever dream to think this is achievable. I think it'd depend on the scenario with the "eat what I make or don't eat" thing. A lot of kids have chores obviously, but don't gain anything out of it. We should still teach kids that they should expect something from their labor, do if you can't do an allowance, give them little privileges now and then. Let them choose dinner on Saturday nights or something, or stay up later, as long as their chores stay being done.
Basically I think there's room to give kids a bit of a say as long as they're still showing the appreciation of work.

The fact that you think that's not enough tells me you're a kid yourself. When you get older you'll realize what I just described usually costs tens of thousands of dollars a year and that doesn't even factor in giving your time to take care of another person.

There's also a time factor with food.
When both parents work full-time (or it's a single, working parent), there are limits to the amount of time you want to spend on cooking.
Now imagine you cook for four (or more). If you only prepare what everyone likes, it's getting rough.
Kids survive food they don't much like. My sibling hates raisins, the rest of us love them. Guess who got to pick them either out or eat them?

Some people wake up early and some are night owls, but when it comes to working together, there is a collective agreement that we will work the same stipulated time. It is not fun to deal with colleagues who have a different time zone, because when you have put in 8 hours at work, then you have to attend another meeting 2 hrs after your work time. I speak from experience, it pisses me off when I am assigned to deal with countries that have more than 3 hr difference.

If you're an adult, your bedtime is 100% self-imposed. The only explanations for this that make sense are that wokeists either want children to be held to the same standard as adults (which is only going to accelerate the collapse of future generations), or they just want any sense of personal responsibility abolished and go full-on hedonist.
The irony is that at the same time they also *need* a powerful and coercive state to achieve their goals. They want to not be held accountable for their hedonism but still have a powerful entity take care of them and make all the important decisions for them. They really are just overgrown children.
