I’ve switched out my AirPod pro 2 ear tips with foamMaster ear tips and they stay in my ear for hours with better grip until I’m done using it. Plus those foam tips do a much better job at optimizing the noise cancellation feature on the AirPod pro 2 compared to the default silicone tips it comes with
Nice review. I have Bose quiet comfort 2. They’re amazing. One thing I’ve found though is that if the firmware isn’t updated on the charging case they will show the single flashing amber and white lights stating there’s a problem and to contact the manufacturer. After updating the firmware, it works fine. I did extensive research on these three before going with Bose. Thank you for your review!
I think Bose is quite good in noise cancelling. I’ve been using Bose for years and my ears never sore and I think it’s better that it loses it’s noise cancellation in high volume settings/surroundings for safety purposes.
I went for the Bose QuietComfort Earbuds ii they are fantastic and for me being very noise sensitive and a very frequent business traveller they absolutely make the most sense. The adaptevness of the noise cancellation wins it for for me
Me too and I got the Bose QCIIs for $249 this Thanksgiving, $50 off from original price. Btw I have all 3 of them so I can totally relate to your review, I'll be returning the AirPods Pro 2 though coz I'm satisfied enough with Bose QCIIs and Sony XM4s.
How has your experience been with the QCii's bluetooth? I'm on my second pair of these (returned the first pair) and it seems like I keep getting plagued with bluetooth issues. Whenever I open Spotify, the music stutters and stops playing from either left/right and fixes itself after 5+ minutes. It's def not my phone (Samsung N9) either bc my QC45's have zero issues with connecting with my phone.
I was almost convinced to buy the bose, but when I heard the mic test I changed my mind. For that price I just want no compromises. So thanks for the thorough review
The Problem is that recordings sound even different to real phone calls. I can do fine recordings with my Jabra Elite Pros but phone calls on Androids are terrible
So, what did you buy then? I'm looking for something with the best mic. As in, something that cancels out most 'disturbance' so the other person can hear ME the best.
I’ve watched a ton of these reviews for these three buds. Many good videos out there, but your video did maybe the best job of actually showing-not just telling. I already bought the Bose QC II before seeing your video, but I’m still watching reviews because I want some more clarity. The way you showed the fit, all the tips in detail, and squeezed the foam was so helpful. No other video I’ve seen did that. Really nice job. The line graphs were uniquely helpful too.
I actually tend to prefer the stock tuning of the Sony's. They offer a nice emphasis on and texture to lower mids that's lush and unique. There's also a fair amount of high treble which gives everything a nice sparkle and airyness. Things like vocals do take a bit of a back seat, but I feel that the buds have good enough separation that everything tends to sound fairly well defined. That said, I am a little treble sensitive, so others might experience it differently. I occasionally experiment with more treble in the EQ but the original sound usually does me well, especially with very long use times.
@@stefanplusplus917 if you are using Bluetooth buds, you're not an audiophile at all. + Sony is the only one which can transmit higher Bluetooth frequency with Ldac. The reviewer is probably using an iphone which is just an overhyped device. To play audio with the LDAC codec on the WF-1000XM4 earbud headphones, you need a Bluetooth playback device that supports LDAC. Usually Xperia 1 series.
Went over several pages that compared those earbuds and didn't help much with my decision. This video was extremely useful for that purpose due to the great explanation and comparation you did on those 3 options so I really appreciate your effort with this video! The decision went down to what I prefer between apple environment + better mic or being able to change the sound settings on the Bose's so the Airpods pro 2 won. Thank you again!
The AirPods Pro 2 are incredible. The sound is great.. controls are great.. ANC/Transparency is amazing. Then.. the case has a U1 chip while each bud has an H2. They are beasts and have some features better done than $1,000 headphones.
I got the WF-1000XM4 since release. Speak to chat is absolutely wonderful, the amount of times that someone walks up to me or if I want to quickly focus on traffic is making this feature an absolute lifesaver. I only with that there was no white noise when using ambient mode. And I wish that I could toggle it with a tap or a voice command. The noise-canceling is perfect, the battery life is more than enough. Only happens sometimes that I lose battery, but that's only when I forgot to fully charge them. The ear tips still work well, and I have had no problems with them. When putting them in I do have to squees them like when putting ear plug in, but they will settle after a minute. Makes them never fall but also not as nice to put in and out of your ear. Oh ye, the sound is fantastic! (Not an audiophile) but it's worse than the headsets obviously but I would trade them any day for the convenience.
@@rosekristel I meant toggling the speak to chat feature. Yes tou can toggle noise cancellation and ambient, but not the feature that lets you talk to turn om ambient
I went for the AirPods. Seemed like the perfect fit for me as I do go to some rock concerts and the adaptive transparency has been a lifesaver when in front of the big speakers trying to take pictures. The squeeze controls are also way superior to the touch controls on other earbuds, as you can easily adjust the buds in your ears and not accidentally trigger anything. If you are seriously so lazy that you can’t be bothered to lightly squeeze something a few times then go for some other buds. The noise cancellation is really good as well and when combined with music at somewhere around 75 decibels I have not been able to hear anything but the music. Edit: also I completely disagree with this guy when he says “go for the AirPods if you don’t care that much about bass”. It’s a very balanced sound and the bass is just right. It can be slightly punchy but it’s never overwhelming. It won’t be popular with fans who are complete baseline junkies, for that I would have a look at the skullcandy crushers as they have a literal bass slider, but for people like me who want bass but don’t want it to overlap any other sounds it’s perfect.
You should never use the AirPods Adaptive Transparency as safety earplugs for concerts or similar louder environments. They don’t works as earplugs, and won’t protect you against ear damage. Cause sound vibration will still damage your ear canals without proper earplugs.
Heads up, the following comment is of a headphone user who cares mostly about sound quality. AirPods Pro 2 are the best wireless earbuds of these three dude. The frequency curve is the mostly flat out of the box which, if you didn’t know, allows for the best sound quality. Good headphones have a flat frequency response curve, just look at an audiophile headphones’ frequency response curve. You can also adjust in the settings what kind of listener you are and if you like more bass, you can set your AirPods to be more bass heavy. You just sound like an apple hater lol.
One thing to consider as well is that there is no tracking feature on the Bose quitecomfort earbuds. Which should be a must for all small wireless devices.
@@vesky1314 Unless you're buying another charge case with a clip, where do you suggest I can put the tile? Because it won't fit inside and there is no place hang it..
at 3:34, the touch controls can be enabled for volume in the headphones app ! you would have to either sacrifice seamlessly swapping between noise canceling/ambient sound or playback functions since there are only two ear buds O.o you can also choose the tap functions for both earbuds or they can just be disabled entirely
I love my Bose so much, reminds me of galaxy buds+. Only issue I've had is they can be a little glitchy but not enough to be a real issue. I am curious to see if they'll last through all the shadow boxing I'll do. UPDATE: they only lasted two months lol. In their defense I think I probably got a faulty pair but still a comical amount of time. Loss of volume, crackling, painful thumping, and inconsistent noise cancelling. UPDATE 2: the new buds died in two months too, I can't recommend these. I'm not sure if any other earbuds would survive either but my Samsung's lasted me for 3 years so something to consider.
I have been through 2pairs of galaxy buds+ as the first pair started not holding a 10hr charge all day. I am thinking about upgrading to the Sony xm4 or Bose Quietcomfort 2. I mainly use them at work in a shop environment listening to music. My goal is the same battery life as the Buds+ but a better sound quality/fit comfort.
@@chasen432 I've tested the battery, lasts 5 hours on phone calls which I'd imagine are the most draining use. The charge time to recharge is insanely fast so it makes up for it a little. Just make sure you get that extended warranty!!
Well, to be fair, there are a lot of tech channels on UA-cam from big companies like CNET, Tech Radar, Digital Trends, TechCrunch, Engadget, and also big tech UA-camrs like EveryApplePro, LinusTechTips and Unbox Therapy, etc. but I get what you mean, he really knows what he’s talking about when it comes to technology so because of that he should have more subscribers, but like I said, at the same time, I understand why he doesn’t.
It's a very overcrowded niche and it takes a lot of time to build a fan base. Also, it seems he started uploading videos consistently for the past two years. At his current pace he should reach 500K in a few months.
Yeah but no, because you either lose noise canceling or play/pause/.. control. Plus one tap should definitely be making the music quieter if it has to be quick. I would love Sony to let the user customize all controls but no…
@@Eat_My_Damn_Chicken I don't know what you listen to, but in my world, not every UA-cam video, song, or audiobook has the same volume. So I think we already agree that it makes sense to adjust the volume in between. If I am now busy with something I have to reach into my pocket every time to adjust the volume. In addition, I often do not carry my phone with me, for example, after showering, then I have to go extra to the phone. When I go for a run I put my phone in my armband because otherwise it wobbles around so much. If I have dirty hands I can still use my wrists to operate the headphones. I can't operate my cell phone with my wrists.... Are the scenarios enough or do you want more examples? 🤔
It should be noted that on the XM4s it also has the same adaptive transparency mode as the pros and Bose. This is in addition to the excellent speak-to-chat function. The latter is far from a gimmic but rather an incredible quality of life improvement feature that is well thought out and almost flawless. Also battery life on the Sonys is double what is stated in the video. 8hrs with ANC and almost 12hrs with ANC off! Far cry from the 6hrs mentioned in the video. Have had my pair of XM4s two months now and 8-12hrs is spot on and what I get. That's before needing to recharge buds in case.
I agree, I've had the XM4s for a year now and my biggest correction to his overview would be the battery life. He said 6 hours for each of them, but I usually get double that with the Sony's. I average 10-12 hours, which is a game changer if you're wearing them to sleep through a noisy environment.
I had the Sonys but the batteries crapped out and Sony refuses to replace it for me, it’s a known issue and Sony just rolled out a software update to correct it but it only works if your batteries aren’t already shot. I loved the Sonys but I just got the airpod pros 2 to replace them and I’m just as happy, both are great headphones and you can’t go wrong with either. I’d go with Sony for sound quality and apple for convince
@@mackmuhlbeier4531 that's surprising. I got the xm4s at launch and had the battery issue too. They replaced mine no questions asked after like 10 minutes of chatting even though they were out of warranty
I own the Airpods Pro 2 and never tried the others... but being very balanced/neutral while still translating a lot of detail and deliver an immersive experience is precisely what I'm looking for in any headphones or speakers. As a musician who has been mixing and mastering music for 15 years, I like to hear things the way they've been intended to be heard and not ''enhanced'' in any other way. Just like I use calibrated TV and monitors, without any gimmicky options enabled or tweaking done to ''enhance'' any aspect of the imagerie, so I can see colors as the colorist was seeing them (or as close as possible).
I’ve owned all three of these earbuds, and I ended up giving away the Sony’s as the foam tips were simply too uncomfortable for me. I couldn’t wear them for more than an hour without causing my ears pain. As for the other two, the AirPods are so ergonomic that I’d often forget that they’re in my ears, but they frequently slip out of place. The Bose’s are more noticeable, but never cause me any discomfort and stay firmly in place. Awesome video❤️
@@jobra7624 All Sound great, but I prefer the Bose. I find them to sound incredibly clear and crisp with a good amount of bass; but it’s completely subjective. I would say to go with the ones that have all the features you need, as each pair provides wonderful audio quality 😊
Great review! The only thing I would add is on sound quality you left out spatial audio of the AirPods. I think a lot of people would prefer the sound of special audio over the Bose and Sonys
@Ro Han it's not a closed option. It's actually a part of streaming services like Tidal, Deezer, Amazon Music has it too. The ones that don't offer it are Apple and Spotify.
@@lordchaz2k ok sorry then - but don’t you always have to pay extra for it at least? You want it on PC - you have to buy the codec or something, you want it in some streaming - you have to get an upgraded option. Basically paying for each device or service you want to use it on?
I haven’t tried the Sony’s, but I had the AirPod Pro 2’s and Bose QC 2’s and it was definitely Bose all the way for me. I really wanted to be happy with the AirPods Pro 2’s for their Apple ecosystem friendliness but it really wasn’t close. The Bose had better noise cancelling, better sound, and so much more comfortable because they don’t require as deep a fit for a great seal. That said I really do like using my AirPod 3’s for watching the Apple TV. I’m not in desperate need for noise cancellation. I can enjoy the spatial audio, and I love that I don’t have to jam them into ear canal to sound good. I know I’m in the minority. I know people love their AirPods Pro 2’s. My wife likes hers. Like I said I really wanted to, but if your on the fence you really got to at least try out the Bose QC 2’s. There are shortcomings for sure, but the comfort, sound, and noise cancelling is insanely good.
@@alvlahoss3018, no wireless charging. If you’re heavy in the Apple ecosystem then it’s not as seamless to connect with all your devices as AirPods. Bose got the really important stuff right though….noise cancellation, comfort, and simply incredible sound.
@@ryant1236 it's there. I don't use transparency so I don't notice it really but I can see why it would irritate some people. What they don't mention is that airpods can have a coil whine when nothing is playing too so it's more common than people think. Mileage may vary.
I tried the air pods once but the sound was just too bright for me and I didn't see a way to adjust it. When I got the Sony XM4's I was really disappointed until I ran the tuning app, wow. When you adjust them to your own taste they are marvelous. I use them mostly for driving and cutting grass, I have a very large yard that takes several hours to mow. While I can still hear my lawnmower it is VERY soft and I can enjoy music or audio books easily, it makes cutting the grass a pleasure. I recently got the Sony XM5's. The batteries on my XM4's gave out. I sent the Sony SM4's back to Sony after having them for a couple years and they replaced the batteries at no charge. Before sending the XM4's back to Sony I had an opportunity to get the XM5's, the newest Sony, it didn't occur to me that you could replace the batteries in the 4's. I like my 4's, I like them a lot but I think I like the lightness and size better on the 5's. There is only a little enhancement of ANC on the 5's over the 4's but you can wear them for 6 hours and not even think about comfort, they just don't bother you and I think their transparency mode is really special unless you cough while mowing. Because the XM5's are so comfortable I was really leary of using them to cut the grass, I just didn't beileve that something so comfortable would stay in my ears, I haven't had a problem though. I don't think you can go wrong with any of these earbuds, there is no good better and best only best bester and bestest (I know that isn't a word but works for me) perhaps. I have Sony over the ear headphones XM4's and I find the ear pods far superior I think mostly because of the foam tips that cancel a great deal of noise even without ANC turned on. In less noisy environments ( not cutting grass) the extreme quiet of the earbuds makes the nuance of sounds of orchestras or perhaps any kind of music easy to discern.
One nice feature the airpods has is being able to adjust the sound according to hearing test audiogram. Also for the music app even though you don’t have full eq, you do get eq presets to choose from from several musical categories.
For me the audiogram is useless. You have option A: with bass (standard) or B: no bass… Maybe who listens only podcasts. I read Apple Music has an eq, but I don’t use Apple Music.
@@Kikuyo2 The audiogram that you make in the settings is pretty useless but you can use a third party app to get a better audiogram and then use that instead. I used the Mimi hearing app from the App Store and it made a noticeable improvement. I recommend trying it out.
These are an improvement over the 1st gen buds. ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxK5mc3yw4xA7Mf2j6k6n1Uqv_KUgrKdeM Pros: The fit is fantastic. This is the biggest plus. They stay in my ears when running and become unnoticeable. They are tight but comfortable. The sound quality is about the same as the 1st gen buds. They pair more easily with my LG G8 ThinQ and immediately reconnect when removed from the case. The sound balance is excellent, good but not overpowering base and clean mid tones and highs.Cons: The noise cancellation is good but perhaps a little less effective than the Bose ANC on the 1st gen buds. Passthrough mode as not as good as the 1st gen buds making it a little more difficult to hear conversations when in passthrough.
I have some problems with the Bose QC Earbuds 2. The sound quality, fit in the ear and the noise cancellation are great but the noise floor can be very noticeable and quite annoying when listening to quieter songs or if I just want to block out noise to read. It's like a constant fan or rain white noise in the background that doesn't really disappear like other ANC headphones/earbuds I've used. It's at this strange frequency that is different from let's say APP2's slight white noise. Aware mode also seems to INCREASE the volume of outside noise at times, I've had to set up a custom mode to prevent this. Additionally, it's completely absurd that these earbuds cost $250+ and do not have an option to completely disable ANC. I don't necessarily need to have it on all times and when the two options are complete NC with an annoyingly loud white noise or aware mode with hissing, sometimes I'd rather have none at all... Final warning, the app connectivity and software issues are ridiculous with Bose. They have a history with this in the past and this sadly does not end with these earbuds. TL;DR - If you don't care about the software and you just want amazing CONSTANT noise cancelation (you can't turn it off), great fit and great music quality, go for the QC 2 Earbuds. Otherwise, if you have an iPhone, go for the APP2. The difference in software/hardware integration with zero issues is absolutely day and night in comparison to Bose. Bose wins in the hardware department, but they really, really need to get their shit together in the software department.
For me, clear sound and phenomenal convenience in my daily life and work life made me choose air pods pro 2 over everything else. If you're an apple user, it's just so well integrated into the ecosystem - it's crazy. I wear them at least 8h a day. Even if I'm not listening to anything all the time.
Foam tips wear out faster. Swapped my Sony foams for silicon after a week. Some swear by the foam. All I can say is that it's *different* so your mileage may vary. I grabbed spinfits, they won't break the bank. Something to consider.
Great video! Honestly I’d say the Bose definitely takes the win overall. The sound quality in the bose is super crisp with so much detail and so much bass for such small buds. If anything you could always play with the EQ settings to your liking and make the sound “warmer”. I’ve had my earbuds ll for a couple months and I’m in love with them. I gotta say that the comfort is phenomenal as well. As someone who has oily skin with any other earbuds without a stability band of some sort, like the Bose’s, would constantly be slipping out. Lastly, the NC in the bose is far superior than any other NC earbuds I’ve tried. They get super quiet! Almost feels like as if your ears popped but yet comfortable. I would EXTREMELY recommend the Bose Earbuds ll.
About to order some! I just lost my 1st gen Sennheiser Momentum buds on a snowboard trip and can't say I am too mad since I have a $300 Verizon gift card sitting in my email. I've had a pair of QC-35s for 6 years so it's going to be awesome having noise cancelling in such a small form.
I got the bose qc2 for 225, they are absolutely amazing. The only reason to go for airpods is if I had an iphone. Things like wireless charging don't really matter when you get 24h of usage out of a charge. ANC is great, and I can go for a run without them moving an inch
Wait wait wait... What do you mean all the buds have the SAME BATTERY LIFE? The Sony XM4 earbuds last 12 HOURS WITHOUT noise cancelling and 8 hours WITH CANCELLING.. Holy crap that's a HUGE THING TO MISS 🤔
Was gonna go for the Bose but the Sony's went on sale for 200 and I couldn't refuse the offer. I've always used Sony in the past and right when I was gonna make the change, they get me :)
Just bought a pair of Bose thanks to this video. Looking forward to getting them within a few days. Thanks for a good overall comparison. Was on the fence between the WF-1000XM4 and the Bose. Was gonna go for the Sony's since I have a pair of Sony WH-1000XM3 (the headset version), but you convinced me otherwise. Great video, keep it up!
Have you faced any issue with connectivity? I have read so many reviews where people are saying it disconnects without any reason and you have to put them back in the case everyone to reconnect. Is this really an issue, if yes how are you handling it?
Putting sonys with largest tip into ears without squishing. Also, you can use silicone tips from any other pair of in-ear headphones on sony quite fine. Using ones from Sennheiser and fiio occasionally if I want some difference. Doesn't affect ANC all too much in my case.
Thanks, you clarified a lot of features. One question relating to Bluetooth and radiation. Did you test as to the radiation emitted by each? Also do any of these earbuds or any others still provide noise cancellation when Bluetooth is turned off? I hesitate to have a Bluetooth device in my ear emitting radiation. Thanks.
Interesting take. The Sonys are significantly more expensive than these other two products, and by every other account, completely worth it. This is the first reviewer Ive seen that didnt give a almost unanimous win to the Sony's. I was pretty sure it was well known in the market, their noise cancelling is the best.
I use the Bose. The Achilles heel of the hose is it's case lid hinge. It becomes shaky and loose after few times of use. Definitely the case sturdiness has to be improved. It feels like the lid might break anytime. Then, the firmware update and connectivity issues across iOS and Android .. I have faced issues with connectivity after 2 months of use. Otherwise, these are good pair of earbuds.
Definitely. I'd bought a pair of qc 2's a year back and now the case lid has completely come off. Bose customer service is terrible and denies to repair/replace the case. And just recently, the left earbud has stopped working completely. Going to buy pro's now.
Great video Mr. Chang. I just purchased the airpods pro 2 two hours ago and my god they are exceptionally great. My previous earphones where the WF-1000XM3.

Great video! though the AirPod Pro (2nd Gen) are more convenient within the ecosystem... even after adding foam tips - the ANC & Sound Quality from my Bose QC II's were just better in my opinion, which is what I prioritize - sent the AirPod Pro's back.
I have the original Bose QuietComfort earbuds, but the it's hard to keep them in my ear. I want the QuietComfort Earbuds II because of their design and are able to stay in my ears better.
had to return the sonys for this reason and am considering buying the bose qc 2s for a better fit. i just hope the body is smaller than those gargantuan sonys because i cant find many size comparisons out there😅 sonys wouldnt stay in my ear for even 1 second because they were so huge
Which is best for wearing when mowing the lawn, to block out the lawnmower sound so I can hear the music without having to turn up the volume too loud. Thanks
For what it's worth, I own the airpods 2 pros, and I have owned or have tried multiple other earbuds, including the Samsung Galaxy buds 2 pro. While it's true the airpods 2 pro doesn't have as much bass, I'd say the quality of the bass is so much better and more balanced. I find wayyyy too many earbuds or headphones nowadays have so much bass, that it's actually.... disorienting? Makes me feel sick in a way. I don't know how else to describe it. Having a more balanced sound profile makes the different bass frequencies stand out more to me personally. If I had to compare the airpods 2 pro sound to an actual headphone, I'd say they remind me of my Sennheiser HD650s. Balanced, and warmer. Very, very pleasant sound to me. Update: am currently on vacation in Irvine, California. Picked up a pair of momentum true wireless 3 and Bose QC ii earbuds. The sennheisers are not great. Lot of bass. Not too full in the mids, treble seems smooth but there isn't much of it. Bose qcii are pretty good. Mids are pushed back, but the bass and treble don't feel too strong to the point where it's bad. Noise cancelling on them was very good. I returned the Bose because I didn't find them better than the airpods pro 2. I can't return the sennheisers, so I'll be keeping them
Had Jabra, bought Sony WF-1000xm4 after I watched multiple tests. They were OK, although everybody I called said they struggled to hear me and it’s the third time something is wrong and I need to send them in for service. I’m done, my wifes AirPods from 2019 is better and never needed service. Really tried not to, but i’m switching over.
Just leaving a comment here about the Sony's WF-1000xm4. I bought them on launch and worked flawlessly up until my warranty ran out and now they drain fast and now the left earbud won't even connect or charge. I loved these buds, they sounded amazing and you could customize thanks to the app. So beware, you'll love them but might get unlucky with a defective pair :( . RIP
The Sony's have CUSTOMIZABLE controls! They are configurable using the app and thus you can adjust the volume with the touch controls if you wanted to.
Why does nearly every reviewer insist on saying you can’t customise the sound on AirPods. Firstly there are preset EQ levels. Yes they are presets but it’s still changing the EQ levels to your preference. Secondly you can go in to the accessibility settings and change the sound via Audiograms. Either imported from a 3rd party or you can do the on device test and it actually can change the sound of the AirPods quite drastically. Of course it’s easier to just have a manual EQ but to say “you’re stuck with what you have” on AirPods is just wrong.
I have small ear canals. I can wear AirPod Pros for hours and be fine. I’ve never had that experience with any other brand, I always feel discomfort or pain. I wanna test try the Bose Quietcomfort. But that’s not exactly easy to do. I also once lost headphones for about 5 months. The Pros make that a much harder feat. Looks like I’m buying Pros again, cheers for the comparisons mate.
Nah he leaves out loads from the sonys. They by far have the best quality sound with not only customisability but DSEE extreme and LDAC. Plus they have 12 hours battery life not 6 like he said. Also it’s super easy to just use silicon tips if the foam ones are annoying, and the black foam tips last ages. Not to mention they also have adaptive transparency.
Hey man! Question for you! So really the two most important things for me would be music/podcasts and taking calls. Is there one that would be better for this need?
I've tried all three of these, and in my opinion, the Bose QuietComfort's blow the other two out of the water in all categories - everything from sound quality, comfort, and and noise cancellation. I also graded them on their ability to stay in during intense movement workouts (e.g. fast running & HIIT-style workouts), and the Bose stay perfectly in place during the most aggressive movements, while the other two feel like they're falling out (and eventually do fall out) with just light walking. I'm seriously not trying to be a Bose fan boy here but I honestly don't understand how the other two even compete with the Bose. To be fair, the one category I'd place the other two above the Bose would be call quality, but that metric has the lowest importance for me personally.

@damianwojcikiewicz3951 you have a tunable EQ. But it will never beat an overear headphone set. I am very very happy with sound out off the QC buds
Is there really a “white noise” sound when there’s nothing playing??

Right, like how a 300 earbuds have a cheaper mic than a chinese cheap ones
The Problem is that recordings sound even different to real phone calls. I can do fine recordings with my Jabra Elite Pros but phone calls on Androids are terrible
So, what did you buy then? I'm looking for something with the best mic. As in, something that cancels out most 'disturbance' so the other person can hear ME the best.
Really terrific review. Balanced, clear, concise yet very thorough - excellent work!

@@manumukherjee7715 still sound amazing, just the battery life got worse on one of the ear buds but nothing preventing me from using them
I went for the AirPods.
@@callisvitorhe’s an AirPod user, so clearly he doesn’t make the best decisions
Heads up, the following comment is of a headphone user who cares mostly about sound quality.
AirPods Pro 2 are the best wireless earbuds of these three dude. The frequency curve is the mostly flat out of the box which, if you didn’t know, allows for the best sound quality. Good headphones have a flat frequency response curve, just look at an audiophile headphones’ frequency response curve. You can also adjust in the settings what kind of listener you are and if you like more bass, you can set your AirPods to be more bass heavy. You just sound like an apple hater lol.
apple dickrider
Bring earplugs to concerts, AirPods really don’t help with deceasing that much noise. However use AirPods for audio and noise cancellation

One thing to consider as well is that there is no tracking feature on the Bose quitecomfort earbuds. Which should be a must for all small wireless devices.

@@vesky1314 Unless you're buying another charge case with a clip, where do you suggest I can put the tile? Because it won't fit inside and there is no place hang it..

you would have to either sacrifice seamlessly swapping between noise canceling/ambient sound or playback functions since there are only two ear buds O.o
you can also choose the tap functions for both earbuds or they can just be disabled entirely

As for the other two, the AirPods are so ergonomic that I’d often forget that they’re in my ears, but they frequently slip out of place. The Bose’s are more noticeable, but never cause me any discomfort and stay firmly in place.

Great review! The only thing I would add is on sound quality you left out spatial audio of the AirPods. I think a lot of people would prefer the sound of special audio over the Bose and Sonys
For real
Sony does have HiRez audio in it and actually recommends using the buds with spatial 360 audio capable settings.
@@lordchaz2k not sure my info is still up to date, but as far as I know Sonys 360 is a very closed and proprietary (mostly paid) implementation
What are the shortcomings?
@@alvlahoss3018, no wireless charging. If you’re heavy in the Apple ecosystem then it’s not as seamless to connect with all your devices as AirPods. Bose got the really important stuff right though….noise cancellation, comfort, and simply incredible sound.

What’s the loudest earbuds
The Bose QC buds also do EQ adjustments using their start up sound! Its nice to see this tech making its way into a lot of devices

Bose wins in the hardware department, but they really, really need to get their shit together in the software department.
did you have the white noise problem on bose? i had the same issue on airpods pro 2 and returned it twice. I was looking for a new headset.
Loved the clean comparison ❤ only missing more detailed charging comparison. Like what does 5-10 Minutes of charging give me in listening time.
Not really sure why a lot of people say the AirPods have little bass. I own the 2nd generation Pro’s and the bass on them sounds absolutely amazing.
Have the pros 2 and really like it, but I have to admit BOSE is on a league of their own with ANC.
Foam tips wear out faster. Swapped my Sony foams for silicon after a week.
Some swear by the foam. All I can say is that it's *different* so your mileage may vary. I grabbed spinfits, they won't break the bank. Something to consider.
great video, it is really helpful ! never fails to impress me as always

I just bought them but returning them for the same reason. Not sure if I want to even try the new gen. Headphones might be my only option.
@@olive4naito I thought about that too, but I like the the Buds better
had to return the sonys for this reason and am considering buying the bose qc 2s for a better fit. i just hope the body is smaller than those gargantuan sonys because i cant find many size comparisons out there😅 sonys wouldnt stay in my ear for even 1 second because they were so huge
very good info short but sweet. keep up the good work friend :)
Which is best for wearing when mowing the lawn, to block out the lawnmower sound so I can hear the music without having to turn up the volume too loud. Thanks
Go with the Bose, its the best ANC I have ever tried, and I have the Sonys, the AirPods Pro and the sennheiser mtw3.
I can't return the sennheisers, so I'll be keeping them
The amount of hard work and effort put into this video👏👏💯💯
Fantastic video, very thorough.
RIP
What bud offers the best talking or speech function?
Love the combo of tempo and information great video!
Thanks for this wonderful video. It really helped me out tons!
The Sony's have CUSTOMIZABLE controls! They are configurable using the app and thus you can adjust the volume with the touch controls if you wanted to.
Thank You, Your video is both informative and entertaining.
Great video ! Very thorough analysis but succinct at the same time.
Such a great review. Thank you so much. How long does it take to charge each set?
I have all 3 with me right now and I am still preferring to listen on my 🎧
I have small ear canals.
Can you listen to one earbud at a time on the 'boise'? Left and right ?
Great video as always, Josh!
Great content man really helpful
What a great, well presented review👍🏼
That's a really well done review!

I have something for you..…….
Hey man! Question for you! So really the two most important things for me would be music/podcasts and taking calls. Is there one that would be better for this need?
Super useful video! Definitely one of the better ones on this topic
Thank you
I've tried all three of these, and in my opinion, the Bose QuietComfort's blow the other two out of the water in all categories - everything from sound quality, comfort, and and noise cancellation.
Is the white noise on the boses bad? Because that’s the only thing I’m really concerned about not liking with them
Great video, returned my Sony as the fit was frustrating and the white noise issue is real
i love this. also, you called it a fun graph?
Thank you so much for that review!
