Michael Hutchence was one of the most charismatic frontmen in rock history. INXS was fucking HUGE in the ‘80’s and ‘90’s. I saw them more than any other group, from nightclubs to arena venues. RIP to an unreal talent.
This has to be one of the best live performances ever. The whole concert is iconic. Michael had them eating out of his hand. The band were on fire. The height of their powers and killing it! INXS were a LIVE band. The albums were fantastic but live is where they shined. The crowd participation was just so awesome. Oh Cliff, Michael was definitely saying it to you when he was getting him hard..was looking right at you!
As an Australian it's sad to realise that that era of Pub Bands coming up doing weekly gigs in front of rowdy live audiences to harden their steel is behind us.
There wasn’t a woman alive not in love with Michael Hutchence in the 80s. The voice, charisma, moves, sexuality, he had it all. INXS was special and he was the quintessential front man. Dig into that rabbit hole! Mystify (my fav), Need You Tonight, Suicide Blonde, Devil Inside, Never Tear Us Apart, Original Sin, New Sensation.
When this concert was in cinema 2019 only one evening, I went for miles to see it. This was so intense,I had the feeling I was becoming part of their show.
I went to an INXS concert on accident. Best stage presence of any lead singer I’ve ever seen. That guy worked the crowd. During suicide blonde the stage was flooded by blondes and they took their shirts off. They played it twice due to the great reaction.
Best frontman, best live concert I’ve ever been to. He was like Mick Jagger and Jim Morrison rolled into one, plus with his own magic. The band is amazing.
EPIC, thanks Cliff. This is Michael and the INXS boys in their absolute element. You can't go wrong with ANY track at this concert, but I'd do a few more of their tracks from this if you can, maybe starting with "New Sensation" 👍
Remember the Columbia Records Deal? 12 cassettes for a penny? I took advantage of that, and one of the albums I got was "Listen Like Thieves". At 13 years old, I went and bought their back catalogue and have been a lifelong fan ever since. I got to see them in 1991 in Syracuse, NY. Awesome band!
A terrific Aussie band who i believe are waiting to go on tour again in 2024. Michael is obviously sadly missed, but I certainly will go to a concert at 73 yo.
I saw INXS, in 1983, they were new to the USA. I was at a 3 day concert in SAN BERNARDINO CALIFORNIA. Of course too many Bands 👍. But INXS has really BANGING SONGS…. Sad ending for lead singer Michael Hutchensen ♥️
You don't hear a rhythm section like that much anymore. Locked in, unfaltering drum and bass groove that provides a solid foundation for everyone else to riff over. Powerful.
Michael and INXS were so big .. he was so handsome, sexy and enigmatic.. sadly missed.. if you ever want another great one Cliff, I Was Standing..he had one of the most recognizable voices..♥️🥰♥️
@@Kimmy58 yes lol I thought I had written that .. I was writing some lyrics and meant to write the title got distracted by who knows what.. lol 😂 adhd what a ride.. thanks I didn’t mean to give Cliff the wrong info.. it’s actually one of my favs.. 🫶🏻♥️🫶🏻
lol… you are an extremely funny and entertaining guy. You need to go on the road 🙌😆 This particular concert is one to watch over and over again. The vibe, the interaction, the moves, the crowd. Simply amazing! They were all on their game this day and as you mentioned, he worked that crowd like no other. Such an amazing charismatic and talented front man he was. Loved INXS 40 years ago, and still have them on my playlist and listen to them weekly if not daily! Great job😊
Hello buddy 🎉🎉🎉I was there at that gig epic awesome amazing brilliant 🎉🎉🎉 nearly 90 thousand ppl attended this gig the front man is Michael hutchence omg omg omg he was epic brilliant awesome he passed away about 26 years ago and I still miss him saw inxs loads of times live 🎉🎉🎉just mind blowing he can perform single and gets the crowd goin as you can see luv him as a total musician 💕 the atmosphere was wow wow wow wow 🎉🎉🎉
Thanks Cliff these guys were one of my first CDs ever and they were never the same after Michael passed. But they still are around with different leads to keep the INXS legends alive ❤️
Michael's so playful on this song. And all the guy's taking turns shining. They were a very 'together' group. I truly miss them. Thank god they left this video bc its timeless!
You never heard of them 'cos in 'merica they were confined to black radio stations - back in the analogue days... That "type" of music is funk, mate, so no surprise it's not "your" kind. Check out the video for Original Sin and imagine the mind-flock lyrics like white boy/black girl caused in white bread MTV land, back in the day!
Fuck me… I haven’t seen this in decades… I was a huge fan at the time… Hutchence single-handedly fucked Kylie Minogue into bringing out the best work of her career!
Not true. he died because of a brain injury that wasn't propperly treated, meds that weren't propperly monitored, and a psycho girlfriend who might as well have put the belt around his neck. all these things were the awful storm to cause him in a moment of despair to suicide. stop spreading false rumors started by an absolutely toxic paula yates.
@@aliarobinson6617so true his personality so changed from that brain injury. Very sad that all these things contributed to his death what amazing talent he was.. he is so very much missed. 🧐🇦🇺

INXS was a popular group back in the day, but you dont realize how popular they were till you watch a live video of the groups.
Hell yeah…INXS was awesome
INXS were absolutely amazing live. Michael was Australia's answer to Freddy Mercury as far as I'm concerned
So relatable
Michael frickin OWNED that massive crowd

INXS - at the top of their game and so many brilliant songs.

From Aussie pubs to Stadiums the INXS lads conquered the world by 1991
Live ..as in living Live baby Live..chorus from New Sensation.
One of my fave live concert performances ever, Cliff.. Hutchence was amazing ❤
INXS was always a fav. Huge crush on Micheal, miss you! ❤❤

The band were awesome but there will never be another Michael ❤️
I had my parents drive three hours so I could see them at a MUCH smaller venue in 1986. So glad I did. 😢

I never get it right *vinyl
INXS were massive in the day. Their music kicked ass.
When I think of iconic music from my young years this band is it. Now I need to find a boombox and a blank cassette tape lol
I was at this concert and I can't tell you how much it still gives me chills watching this performance all these years on. Glad you enjoyed it!

Aaaahhhh.... Michael, one of the best frontmen ever and gorgeous. I'm so old, I got see them with Michael a couple times then again with JD Fortune
The crowd was said to be between 72-74000 People° ❤
They were awesome. Michael was the sexiest lead singer ever
You should watch the whole Live Baby Live DVD
INXS was incredible sad story
The old Wembley Stadium held 82k. I thought it was 72k but wiki taught me better 😉
Huge crowd … no cell phones!
