Been playing an arc/stormbrand/orb of storms eventually Lightning conduit trickster. Honestly, right now, I'm just brutalizing acts with the bustedness that is Polymath. It adds so much damage that my terrible terrible dropped rares just don't matter. Gearing was pain for the first 4 acts, after that I scavenged some usable 4 links and that's the build through act 8. I get so much sustain from that same node that it's silly. I'll transition to a full ES set up with ES leech and eldritch battery and hopefully, sometime soon, get a conductivity ring to smooth things out.
I’ve been all in on trickster this league and it’s a solid ascendancy that I would recommend unless the skill you’re using really needs something specific from another one. The first 3 I played to level 90 before switching out of either frustration or inability to find the right uniques to scale the character. LC - it fell short against lightning resistant arch nemesis rares because of the lack of guaranteed shock. Super easy to level with this skill. Soulrend - the damage still isn’t any better than bane, and bane really wants the extra curse from occultist. Moving faster than the projectiles travel is also a really weird feeling SST/Shield Crush - I went the ES overleech route on this and it felt pretty good, but I couldn’t find a seething fury in SSF and was having a hard time scaling damage in T16s without being able to go crit. PC - currently level 82 and doing T14s, feels great and has lots of room to scale up. I can see myself playing this one longer than the others.
Been playing the CA Ballista Trickster build Palsteron made some videos on, trying to experience the good times I've had with the CA build you've made back in Betrayal, this one did involve some Poisonous Concoction for leveling as well. Pretty smooth experience, though not having the Divergent version of PConc made it feel meh on single target. Might be starting this next season as Occultist if they don't nerf it, while the tankyness of Trickster is cool, Profane Bloom looks fun as hell.
Tried an old Slayer Reave Impale. Top-end damage (in theory) still rocks, but boy is it a struggle to get up and going. I haven't played much the last two leagues but my god is physical/impale in a bad place right now.
I started playing this as my first SSF build after your first video and I dropped a Maligaro’s Cruelty in Act 8, which has been really fun. Great content, keep it up.
I'm playing the build and liking it. Had a snake bite glove or whatever it is called in SSF so, cool. In reds on a 5 link but not rushing. Enduring cry with the extra duration is underrated. You hit it like twice in a map
Wither is applied by divergent quality and it solves your main issue. Es mana issue is resolved by a single es on hit jewel. Also, alt quality is a 50/50 hit on lens from base quality, so it's feadible on ssf
thanks Tarke i was about to give up on this league after i didnt like my starter or the league too much, but after your last video wanted to try this as someone who couldnt really get into traps i somehow liked this a lot so maybe i give them another chance someday, but so far its my favorite leveling build
I just set my left click to "move only" whenever Searing Exarch gives the vocal cue for the rolling meteors phase and switch back to withering step when the phase is over. There is actually plenty of time to do it comfortably. Don't know about Sirus, though.
My guy. I decided to give this a shot and i LOVE it. I had some decent spell suppression gear already so i didnt grab the 4 points that give you spell suppress + movement. It feels SO damn smooth for mapping and i haven't had any issues just now getting into red maps. I love how cheap the gear is to make the build work too. Like bro your end game weapon is a flask that mask rolled MIGHT cost a divine? TLDR: Love the build, great work! (subscribing now)
You could use the divergent quality for auto withering if you can get your hands on one if ssf. Edit: I really need to finish watching the video before I start commenting.
Hope I didn't miss it in the wither talk but did you try withering touch support on the totem? Wither step is better for mapping, but wouldn't be the worst boss swap if you need to teleport.
I found a replica rumis concoction and, combined with the action speed buff and the spell block keystone, it basically solved all my survivability issues. Now I’m attack and spell block capped 80% of the time while mapping
I ran into this same issue with withering step builds, my solution was I would do a wither totem setup when doing heavy bossing and step whilst mapping
Is that per projectile? Like throwing 5 out at once and each one has a 20% chance to apply wither? Even with that though, 1 or 2 withers per second (if gmp and g volley) isn't really fast enough to warrant not using totems or withering step as well. Getting 15 withers is crazy damage.
why not drop the attack buff totem and do a wither support totem. that would enable you to drop withering step and just run flame dash as normal. this is what most pconc builds do. totem also allows for higher wither stacks more safely since you don't have to stand directly on top of boss and links only need to be spell totem + withering touch.
Hey Tarke, quick question... Maybe I just missed the info in this video or in the last one, but which Ascendancy order would you recommend ? And prior to getting a 6L, which gems would you prioritize on a 4L or a 5L with PC early on ?
Very fun build on a low budget. I put a medium cluster jewel with Unwaveringly Evil + Wicked Pall and then a small jewel with chaos dmg / attack speed / poison dmg. 73% chaos dmg boost for 7 talent points.
I dropped Asenaths Gentle Touch for the first time in SSF so I want to reroll to a build that scales the explosions. Do you think Occy is the way to go or is Trickster better? Thx. Love your content. :)
Hey Tarke, I was thinking about running something like this myself! Do you think it'd be worth it to use Olesya's Delight if I can cover attributes & res elsewhere?
i dont understand where all the damage is coming from in the pob, i tried to reverse engineer the skill tree and skill links in the pob for pathfinder and raider using the nodes you allocated but instead of 600k damage it says like 20 to 30k. im trying to learn the game better through pob but im lost.
Having played it with Pathfinder, Occultist and Assasin (my favourite) I think it is a very very good skill. Levelling is the best as soon as you have access to the skill. Pop in multiple projectiles and you are good to go. For the blink issue you mentioned, you can still use flame dash and blink just fine in my experience. I didn't even throw in second wind to flame dash, which should make it much better imo. Then again I am so used to playing without blink skills, and I don't rely on them on boss fights (movement speed instead).
I'm running the pathfinder version, with 4 utility flasks my character basically teleports with shield dash and two attack speed flask mods so that's a dream to map on. I run a divine blessing and have an ES/evasion chest and shield with the 120 es regen near a rare and that's active more often than not. I also ditched wither step, got divergent poison conc and then put enhance with plague bearer and the attack speed totem and that's gigga AoE and juice.
Hi, Have you thought about any way to get the 26% Inc aoe breakpoint, or is it just not possible on trickster on ssf? Overlap should go from around 5 to 8/9 and would be around a 50% more dmg on bosses.
the main advantage of pathfinder is you can run a bismuth of ele resist to free all your resist on gear and put IIR everywhere and get a permanent gold flask :^) we magic finding now
Played Poisonous Concoction about 2 leagues ago. Made it to early maps which is good fro me as I can never get the good equipment - can't get Exalts to trade for uniques and still beginner on crafting.
Poisonous Concoction would be such a great league starter if you didn't have to deal with so many finicky bits and bobs, like every time you pick up an identified equipable weapon, it auto-equips it to you and nullifies your ability to use PoCo; or you have to run two life flasks because if you don't, you can wind up in really bad situations where you have zero flask charges because you've used them all in attacking; or you have to spend forever building up your poison stacks before you can use your plague bearer, which imo does not last long enough; or you can't run dash (my prefered movement skill) and self-cast withering step. It was a fun experiment to league start with PoCo, but I don't think I'll be doing it again until some interesting changes are made.
I have a similar issue with my Lightning conduit character. so much cast speed that Eldritch Batterydoesn't keep up even with the leech cluster right next to it. Leech rate is probably gonna be the answer for me but it's the first time ever I've had mana problems with EB. I thought I was SOLVING mana problems IT:DDDD
give temporal rift a try if you find a way to fit it, it wont help to go over ledges like a flame dash but in that Sirus scenario it would have done the job. PS in certain scenarios its more reliable than enduring cry for recovery aswell.
