Lightning Conduit has been pretty fun honestly, feels a little squishy after playing vaal dd last league but it's got good feeling damage at a pretty low budget.
Exsanguinate/Reap Spellslinger Corrupting Fever Trickster. I loved ignite builds because the dot would just spread, but Exsanguinate is different in a way that I can't explain, but makes me enjoy it even more than ignite proliferation
The energy shield recharge thing with EB isn't a bug, energy shield recharge is only stopped by damage, so you're always recharging until you take ES damage but you can't unless you take MoM
Frost Shield deals damage to your ES and prevents recharge! Frost Shield is a pretty decent extra defensive mechanic with Diadem since the Diadem recharge allows you to maintain Frost Shield without having to wait for the recharge delay
@@XorusVII Actually that was a bug. I remember what you're talking about cuz it was in betrayal. For a few patches it'd just stop your recharge but they fixed that a patch or two into the league. I remember cuz I convinced a friend to do it to solve all their mana issues and he was PISSED at me that he didn't have any mana sustain...
btw if for the people who don't have the diadem, you can pick a claw mastery to get life and mana gained on hit to be able to easily sustain the cost due to the overlap hits, and it also gives you 3% more dmg because of the trickster node
the leech mastery is only 2 nodes away vs claw mastery near poison fang 5 nodes away with the mastery. also vicious projectiles gem decreases some leech. i use cruelty instead on other pc builds. and with the cruelty being another charge i guess it plays very well to this build.
Not sure if it has been mentioned in comments but a great node to pick up for trickster is the elusive dagger node and then take dagger mastery which makes you do 8% MORE damage if 5 poisons on target. Elusive + MS on the small nodes are nice as well so it isn't a complete waste for just the mastery. + Polymath means another 3% cause dagger mastery.
I played a trickster to 96 using lightning strike. I had every charge generated and it was super comfortable. I personally did ice bite with frenzy stacking and a white wind. Worked wonders and hit about 2m dps on lightning strike with ssf setup. Edit: I played iron reflexes and had 50k armor, felt very fine for me. ironically a very similar tree, i ended up getting around 5.2k hp
Poisonous concoction is pretty insane. Probably one of the best builds I have ever played for clearing the acts on league start, the damage is just absurd
really nice build. I like it a lot. Wouldn't it be better to take 25% mark effect for the mark mastery? I think since you have such high duration on your charges the 5% (from quality) +25% increased effect from mastery should be enough to sustain frenzy charges.
I'm playing an ES based trickster and was happily surprised how cheap the Forbidden flesh/flame jewels were for Heart Stopper. Good budget include in my build and provides such a significant layer of defense.
Diadem doesn't always trigger a recharge. They reworked eldritch battey such that loosing energy shield does not stop the recharge (but taking damage to es does).
Heartstopper really really feels good only when you start using it. I was very skeptical about it but man it just feels really good to play. My qol when mapping before and after HS which was a while since I only spec it on Uberlab, was night and day. If you are playing sc, try it, it really makes a lot of difference.
i think the devouring diadem line is related to if you somehow take dmg into your mana with mom or something like that, if you have this you don't regen the es for a while, so it can force it to start because even normal eldritch battery it works like that, so if you have mom with eb but don't have that you will not be able to regen es after being hit
I wouldn't know how to move your tree around, it's pretty well done, but you could get points on the claw nodes near Herbalism to get the mastery for crit avoidance. Don't know if you had any problems, but on my PF that node saved me a couple of times :P
I'm actually using explosive concoction right now myself and attempting to tweak it so that I freeze enemies, combo with inextricable fate so that suddenly all my juiced up ele dmg is poisoning. Thus able to both ignite, freeze, shock, and poison as a guarantee every throw. Not at endgame yet but the damage is crazy and the clear is good. Most things die before I get the freeze so still plenty enough to tweak.
ive got some problem. i play a similar build in sanctum right now, and the dependence on frenzy charges and plague bearer build up is really tough in the sanctum. but i have no idea how i can get away from that and still keep the dmg
thank you for the guide tarke 🙂i have been trying poison concoction raider (i think). in your guide, you talk about equipping a 1h weapon that you can't use, (because poison concoction doesn't use the weapon slot) so that you can level up gems. is there a secret to being able to equip the item? i have tried and can't figure out how you did this step. thank you for any help you might give :)

Divergent PC has 20% chance whiter on hit. And temp chains on hit on corrupted gloves, quite cheap atm. You can push it further with Despair on hit on ring with the proper double curse anoint.
Tarke dont forget about the poison crit immunity mastery. I used it on a poison TS pathfinder back in scourge league and it felt mandatory after picking it up
3.20 Patch notes: "Tarke said that poisonous concoction is perfection, and we found out that people were having fun playing it, so we will be cutting the dps in half"
i started with poison concoction trickster, loving it so far, its very good on simulacrum since im always healthy dealing with trash mobs. once caveat is that its kinda hard to ramp up frenzy on maven invites but overall its really nice
Thanks for the video. Trying this build after leveling a PC Pathfinder. However, until I can afford a nice 6L, I'm trying a corrupted Snakebite with +2 AOE gems, which I can use later for Plague Bearer.
Not for PC but get that wand from heist that gives charges we every 6 seconds. You will have all of them. Duration mode also works on inspiration charges. You get easy 30 seconds uptime of all charges but it needs to ramp up if you dont have any other way to generate, very good for long content like Lakes

PC is lvl12, you can use splitting steel with chance to poison and onslaught or cobra lash with the same Supports. E: cobra lash downside is that you need 2 setups or gemswap for volley
Level as either caustic arrow or cobra lash till 12 when you get poisonous concoction. You can run off mana with some mana leech or mana gain on hit or using lifetap before you get eldritch battery.
@@TarkeCat Thank you! I read a comment on here about using a Claw and the associated mastery for the mana gain on hit. I will fiddle around with it in PoB to see if that solves the issue altogether.
15% on hit from Poachers + mastery but keep in mind we overlap so we very quickly gain charges on single target and then we get guaranteed charges on kill from Poachers + 8% on kill from tree.
I personally have a unhealthy addiction to Darkray vectors boots, after loading up PoB and seen the numbers, have you considered using it for this build or are rare boots much better because of the general access to defences?
FYI Tarke trickster is actually lower damage than pathfinder. Pathfinder has a 20% more, 15% more and 30% AoE which usually allows at least 1 additional overlap but it also allows very high uptime on dying sun for some bossing allowing potentially 7 overlaps(on large hitbox bosses) rather than the typical 4ish you'd get on trickster. That's ignoring the super nice QoL like prolif(incredibly powerful vs AN rares) and being able to handle a huge amount of resists through a bismuth of the rainbow flask making gearing super easy. You should try the PF version :)
Played PC for two leagues prior to 3.19 as a pathfinder and was my favorite build ever, but the nerf to the flask charge gain mod that made you damn near invulnerable really sucked.
"One Step Ahead" makes you completely immune to Freeze and Stun, and nearly unaffected by Chill, Temporal Chains, Maim, Hinder, and any kind of attack/movement speed debuff - down to the point of your character having a minimum of 108% action speed.. Since all the aforementioned debuffs are considered your character's action speed features, you can never go below your action speed in any case. Additionally, since monsters can't act with any more speed than 92% of their base, the increased monster Movement speed + attack and cast speed mods on maps are completely negated due to Attack, Cast and Movement speeds being part of the Action speed of the Monsters as explained above. The "Hasted" and "Echoist" monster mods are completely negated as well. The Echoists are actually forced to cast their second attack/spell at a very slow speed making them even weaker. Monsters with the "Entangler" mod and the effect of "Grasping Vines" are also negated this way. Maven fights are a child's play. The ascendancy notable is overpowered and will most likely be nerfed next league.
I've run a few t16 on level 18 gems with no +levels gear. The base dmg of the skill is high enough that you can see all the base content comfortably for uber bosses that's where you need to be really pushing for the better gear upgrade, corruptions etc. If you Google it though there is plenty of footage of people taking on uber bosses last league as pathfinder and trickster has more dmg scaling.
I leaguestarted Lili's BFBB Occultist, stayed on Poisonous Concoction for the first 2 days. It felt ok-ish but a bit clunky and very low single-target damage when reaching T16. I didn't quite like it personally, sadly.
No I think I'm missing my far outer hits, I'd like to eventually pick up about 20%ish incidental aoe from quality gems and gear upgrades to even out my clear and overlaps.
Poisonous Concoction is great. Like you said, PC was my smoothest league start ever, and lvling it is always a breeze, but in my exp bossing in red maps rly starts to fall of and scaling dmg past certain level is hard.
Hey thank you for the build. I am using it right now to try to have a good league. I am still in the campaign but moving so fast its fun and safe. I have created 6 characters before this a hated them all. I was gonna quit before seeing your video. I had the poison concoction pathfinder and did not like it at all. The trickster is so much better. Thanks again. Your new sub.
I think heartstopper has really good synergy with spellbreaker but has light anti-synergy with polymath. The numbers are big enough that it's still good but I just wish they would understand that rotating buffs for damage = fun but for defense it just feels bad.
I quit about day 4 of the league and I’m just now coming back. I’m leveling a Trickster with Pconc to switch to Poison BV but maybe I should just stay Pconc for a bit until I have some currency.
Thanks for the video I tried out Poisonous Concoction in Scourge but re-rolled in white maps because I was so squishy. Might give the trickster version a try I talked myself out of league started trickster helix and went with a poison assassin helix instead went ok but I ended up just dumping all my currency into a one with nothing build that I always go back to because even though GGG gives no love to melee I still enjoy playing it. Keep the positive content coming out I get bummed out with all the negativity this league from alot of content creators. I found the item drops to be reduced but still playable and seeing people act like the world is ending when the game is still fun is kind of weird. (I have been playing since beta and have had GGG kill off multiple builds that I enjoyed you just move on and find something else you like or take a break for a league or three)
It is decent to kill some boss ? Wanted to try pconc but people always say its good for mapping, not really to kill boss and i don't see why everyone say that, and do it struggle against high level kalandra or shitty essence rare ?
I played poisonous concoction in it's release league as a pathfinder. I actually enjoyed playing it, however, I despised using plague bearer. I also don't like doing wither totem setups. Those 2 things have kept me away from most poison/chaos based builds before and since. And I would just play it without those things but from memory, and maybe my gear just sucked, it was super reliant on plague bearer to put out much dps at all. Maybe I would just be more of an explosive concoction enjoyer.
Played PC 3 Leagues ago and it was the strongest and absolut most tanky char i have played in this game. Had a blast of a time with it. But i wonder why people wouldnt use Alchemist Mark with it. Seems decent to me.
I leveled P coc this league as raider felt better then the trial run I did in standard as pathfinder. Switched over to scourge arrow totems once I got into maps. End game bosses feels pretty bad but the rest of the game as been a breeze and with lightning coil I am about to hit 98 and I have only died like twice since 90.
I have been hell bent on poison concoction since it was released. Its a steroid for acts and t1 and t2 maps. I have tried every ascendancy for the build and here is what I have found. Occultist - highest dps of all. You can get insane damage with power + frenzy charges. Pathfinder - best feel good out of everything. Its a very good balance btw damage and defense and flasks! Trickster - best defense. Good with the change this league. Raider - again decent dps due to frenzies and very good defense. Trickster - hard to build on a budget but will pop off with perfect agony + crits.
idk I'd like heartstopper more if it was a far shorter rotation as it is now. The whole 50% of the mitigation all of the time doesn't remotely work like that for either the dot or the hitbased version of it and it adds yet another layer of inconsistency to it which is going to make me feel like there's no point in being skilled anymore because it's just the roll of a dice whether you die or not anyway. The coin flips heads and you take a hit, you're not going to feel any difference at all, the coin flips tails and you take a DoT, you're still getting burned to the ground in those 5 seconds you gotta wait before it mitigates. Had it been a 1 or 2 second rotation it would've worked just like you say for DoT and for hitbased it would feel a bit like dodge I reckon which is so much better imo. In its current state though it's too much of a hassle to actively play around the rotation. Gives me d3 convention of elements vibes which honestly is one of the strongest damn rings in the game to be fair but I just can't be arsed to play around the cycle.
I've run a few t16s on 18 gems, post arch nem nerfs mind and it holds up, main thing I'm lacking for that tier of content is defences which comes from getting more levels, capping out my block and my missing life nodes.
As a fellow lore-boy please make a video on how GGG completely dropped the ball on that part of the game. This league was so disappointing from a lore POV
Withering step without the actual alternative way of getting elusive is just so useless, I don't get why people even use it on left click, it does nothing. Maybe if you switched its place with steelskin and then use it alongside plague bearer without actually attacking, but on left click it's just a waste.
The argument against Heartstopper is you'll take the wrong kind of damage at the wrong time. It's like in MTG with cards that give your opponent a choice: sure both choices are good for you, but they'll take the one that hurts them less. It's better to be consistent in both cases. But you could do worse in softcore. Would be very curious to see your take on Explosive Concoction btw (I love throwing flasks but I'm not a fan of Plague Bearer).
What builds have you been enjoying this league?

Main reason i go flaskfinder is chaos skill aoe (cus you need sth like 37% for all proj to overlap) and chance for poison to do 100%more dmg

I leaguestarted explosive concoction and rerolled the next day, felt too clunky.
PC always felt a bit clunky to me. The minimum range makes it feel meh.
looking forward to Pcoc Templar yo
I have been hell bent on poison concoction since it was released. Its a steroid for acts and t1 and t2 maps. I have tried every ascendancy for the build and here is what I have found.
Occultist - highest dps of all. You can get insane damage with power + frenzy charges.
Pathfinder - best feel good out of everything. Its a very good balance btw damage and defense and flasks!
Trickster - best defense. Good with the change this league.
Raider - again decent dps due to frenzies and very good defense.
Trickster - hard to build on a budget but will pop off with perfect agony + crits.
Good video overall so far, I'm sorry to hear you don't know how to pronounce diadem though. Keep up the good build videos!
Champion CF. Im lvl 69 done two white maps :) Read reddit more then play the game atm xD
ok rolling magma is trap also then
idk I'd like heartstopper more if it was a far shorter rotation as it is now. Gives me d3 convention of elements vibes which honestly is one of the strongest damn rings in the game to be fair but I just can't be arsed to play around the cycle.
wait till t16's and lets see whos having fun
I've run a few t16s on 18 gems, post arch nem nerfs mind and it holds up, main thing I'm lacking for that tier of content is defences which comes from getting more levels, capping out my block and my missing life nodes.
how u gonna show me this the day after i finish levelling a new char?
As a fellow lore-boy please make a video on how GGG completely dropped the ball on that part of the game. This league was so disappointing from a lore POV
Devouring what?!
Tarke, I am using replica rumi's concoction with this build and its awesome! Especially with Versatile Combatant, so much Spell Block!!!
so basically its good to go
how are you so luck in SSF D:
Withering step without the actual alternative way of getting elusive is just so useless, I don't get why people even use it on left click, it does nothing. Maybe if you switched its place with steelskin and then use it alongside plague bearer without actually attacking, but on left click it's just a waste.
My favourite build is 3.13
Trickster is the best ascendancy for slapping an aegis on a character with 100% spell suppresion and afking simulacrums
Ok. But what about LOOT
Lol didn't you just describe like 80% of self cast spells
